This is a curated once a month program for persons with disabilities Our theme for this day is Farm Animal Fun We partake in a themed activity and create a themed craft that surrounds farm animals. This program focuses on fun with music, games, arts and crafts, movement activities and more! This play program is designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The San José Recreation Preschool program offers children, 3 to 5 year olds, and their families educational and recreational experiences that support their imaginative, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development Children prepare for kindergarten success in a safe and welcoming environment. The San Jose Recreation Preschool Program is adhering to all Santa Clara County, Public Health guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of students and staff.

THE HATCHERY

This program is an opportunity to introduce preschoolers to farm life and animals at Emma Prusch Farm Park Activities will include caring for our farm animals, songs, stories, crafts, garden fun, and games to develop socialization skills, eye-hand coordination, and motor skills. Program Information

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.

Payment Options

R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.

R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.

ANIME MANGA MINI-HAWK CAMP- BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, SOCCER

If you have Manga Mania, sign up for this class. Join Young Rembrandts for a 5-day drawing workshop; we’ll be drawing and coloring all things ANIME! Artists will learn to draw their own anime style characters ranging from easy to challenging – this is a great way to perfect those skills and learn new manga tricks Each day students will complete multiple pieces of artwork like customized faces, animals, Sugoi action and more ARTtastic drawings. Kids explore our Wonder Lab and find eggs that don’t break, ice that doesn’t melt and discover how to freeze time! Our young chemists perform spectacular hands-on experiments and continue the fun at home with the gadgets they’ve designed in the lab!

Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a handson view of the science that spies use!

WACKY ROBOTS & WIDGETS

Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of camp includes lots of both! Junior Mad Science engineers design and build structures using simple tools and their imaginations Then the machine madness starts children discover how different machines, both simple and complex, are used in our daily lives! Kids design simple machines using pulleys, wedges, screws and levers and have fun learning how catapults work! We use the skills we’ve learned to build a Mad Science robot that we can keep, all while learning the science of robotics!

It is never too late to learn Chinese Folk Dance. This group is led by an experienced volunteer Chinese Folk dance instructor. You will learn various Chinese Folk Dances and have the opportunity to perform in community center events Anyone can join no experience needed.
