A variety of music and props such as scarves and teddy bears keep your little one entertained. MUSIC BEGINNING UKULELE & GUITAR Playing a string instrument has been an enjoyable and healing activity for the teachers of this class. Members of the class will learn two or three familiar songs each week on their instruments and be able to accompany themselves and others. No previous experience is required. Basic essentials of music will be a part of the course. Those taking the class should bring their own instruments and music stands and a 3-ring binder for music. BEGINNING PIANO AND KEYBOARDS Students will be taught the basics of playing music on the piano/ keyboard. Topics include: basic notes, rhythm and theory as well as finger exercises, chords and scales, all with the goal of being able to play basic keyboard accompaniment parts and fun songs. Keyboards will be provided for students in class. However, students will need a keyboard at home for practice. INTERMEDIATE GUITAR NEW! This class is meant for students who know chords in several keys and want to add new strums, fnger-picking styles, and blues fills to their guitar knowledge. The class will cover Travis picking, Carter Family style, basic 12 bar blues, and Latin rhythms. Styles will be taught in association with songs played in that style. SPORTS SOCCER PRE-SOCCER Teaches the basic techniques of the game and builds self-esteem through participation and fun soccer activities. Children learn to follow instructions in a nurturing, age appropriate environment. Shin guards are required after the first meeting. CAMPS FIT CAMP: FUNDAMENTALS IN TRAINING Come join us at F.I.T. Camp, a two week long camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use evidence based curriculum. CAMP LEADERSHIP The Leadership Camp is designed for ages 13-17 years old that need a more mature camp, Typical Fun camp but with age appropriate activities. Campers get to become role model to the younger campers and take on a more responsible role by planning and leading fun and exciting camp games and activities. BALLROOM DANCE* Come join others for some various dancing and fun socializing. Dress is casual and singles are welcomed. Come try out the exciting world of ballroom dancing; including the slow gliding foxtrot to sensuous rumba, to a vivacious cha cha... there is something for everyone. ARTHRITIS EXERCISE PROGRAM This program is based on the Arthritis Foundation's suggested exercises for individuals with arthritis and joint pain. This low-impact class addresses the pain, fatigue, and decreased strength that often accompany arthritis. Exercises may be done seated or standing and also include optional floor exercises. Half hour session. By appointment only on Tuesdays 1-4 pm. FREE WILLOWS CAFÉ Join us for lunch Monday – Friday at 12 pm in the dining room. Reservations for the menu selection must be made 1 DAY IN ADVANCE BEFORE 12 pm (reservations Monday-Friday only). Monthly menus are available in our office.
