E AT: HE AR TH & DR AM Hearth & Dram - Union Station Neighborhood 1801 Wewatta St, hearthanddram.com Lauded as a “Modern Day Saloon,” Hearth & Dram brings an approchable, Old West feel to the Union Station Neighborhood. It’s name perfectly mirrors the restaurant’s concept: the “hearth” refers to a brick or stone fireplace like the one they wood-fire their meats in and “dram” is an old measurement of whiskey, the focus of their bar and cocktail menu. The striking interior is evocative of the inside of a whiskey barrel, accented by steel and leather details that celebrate the history of Denver and echo the modern western vibe that defines their menu. While they have a myriad of vegetable dishes, their pride and joy is their meat. The roasted duck breast, bone-in ribeye, and short rib are absolutely to die for. If you’re feeling particularly hungry, bring your friends for the “Whole Beast Feast,” a three course family-style meal featuring your choice of beautiful meats —including their signature whole roasted suckling pig. Yes, please!

The city of Denver is getting a new (albeit temporary) park! From June 15 through August 15, the stretch of 21st Street between Larimer and Lawrence will be converted into a pop-up park, featuring shade trees, a dog park, seating areas, food trucks, and a stage for live concerts and entertainment. A lawn space designed for outdoor games like croquet, bocce ball, and cornhole, will give residents and visitors of the Ballpark Neighborhood a new place to gather and enjoy the summer months. The Square on 21st is a joint effort between the City and County of Denver and the Downtown Denver Partnership.

Wildlife Restoration Volunteers works across the state to protect, reinvigorate and restore Colorado public lands. Join them on Saturday, June 27th to lend a hand restoring an island in the South Platte River that has all but eroded as a result of the 2013 floods. #M Y FAVOR ITEB LOCK Rachel Hirschey Business Development & Brand Manager, Bloom by Anuschka www.bloomdenver.com My Favorite Block: Cherry Creek North There is something classically charming about having a flower shop in a bustling train station. Thanks to floral boutique Bloom by Anuschka, Union Station is full of the beautiful colors and aromas of fresh flora, giving locals and travelers alike a perfect spot to pick up bouquets on the go. Now in their sixth year as a part of the Denver community, Bloom is known for their carefully curated collection of flowers, art, home decor, and jewelry, all of which you can find in the terminal at Union Station as well as their flagship shore in Cherry Creek North. We caught up with one of the ladies behind Bloom, Rachel Hirschey, to chat about her favorite spot in town: “My favorite block is our neighborhood - Cherry Creek North! It’s the best because it’s got such a neighborhly feel. All of the shops and patrons are so friendly and welcoming, it feels like its own little city within Denver. The businesses are so passionate about what they do and take every aspect, sale and customer interaction seriously so as to provide the best possible experience for every patron.” Hillstone – I love Hillstone. Their artichoke dip is to die for! Departure Restaurant + Lounge – This rooftop bar at the Halcyon hotel is perfect for drinks in the summer time. MAX Clothing Store – MAX is my go-to for all things fashion.
