There’s no better place to get away from hustle and bustle than South Padre Island. Here you can get a taste of the quiet island life, while also finding the activities, entertainment, and restaurants of a larger city. We are blessed with beautiful scenery, cultural diversity, and a wide array of opportunities for all different personalities.

We islanders love our watersports: kiteboarding, windsurfing, and surfing, to name a few. If you enjoy fishing, as I do, the island offers great in-shore fishing year-round, or you can book bay or off-shore charters. A great family-friendly way to spend the day is on our beaches: hire a beach service to put out chairs, bring a cooler, frisbees, and skim boards to ride the waves, and have loads of fun with the kids. We locals truly treasure our beaches. If you’re up early, you’ll spot large groups of people walking the sand
with buckets and picking up trash— locals believe in leaving the beach cleaner than it was. Sunsets on the island are gorgeous, and each one is different. Join us at one of the bay-front bars for a sunset happy hour, where you can cool off beside the water while enjoying drinks and live music. We cherish our quiet island life, but we also love tourists and appreciate the energy and life that they bring to SPI. We’re very happy to be opening back up and welcoming visitors to our amazing island!
