They feature picnic tables, dune walkovers, restrooms, and barbecue stations, and are connected via a lighted beachfront boardwalk. Plus, the Sandpiper Pavilion’s new amphitheater regularly hosts live music.

Hit the beach. Enjoy the mile-long stretch of wide, soft, white-sand beaches and take a dip in the gorgeous, crystal-clear Gulf waters. Build a sandcastle, fly a kite, or simply relax and soak up the sea views. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent.

Fish on the jetties. Bring your rod and reel to this top fishing spot, a favorite of locals and visitors alike. The jetties offer the opportunity to catch all kinds of different species that live in the Gulf. No need to bring your own bait; there’s a bait stand right at the entrance to the jetties.

See a famous statue. The towering “El Cristo de los Pescadores,” or Christ of the Fisherman, is located at the southernmost edge of the park. The memorial pays tribute to local shrimp fisherman who lost their lives at sea.
