YOU CAN DO IT 5K
EDINBURG Photography provided by Tiffany Miranda On Saturday, May 7, friends, family, and supporters of the Cynthia Jean Salinas-Goodrum Memorial Fund joined together for the annual fundraising 5K. This year’s theme was “You Can Do It.” The scholarship was founded in 2013 by the Salinas-Bustos families and Cindy’s high school teammates Angeline Gutierrez & Deanna Sanchez, and has awarded a total of $36,000 to female athletes from Edinburg high schools. The awards are given to deserving female student-athletes that were just like Cindy—top honor students in varsity athletics with a strong history of community service.
