Slinky Dress Created by Stephanie Remlinger Needles: 32” Circular size 8, 32” Circular size 6, 32” Circular size 5 Yarn: 3-light worsted Gauge: 36 stitches in 32 rounds = 4” (K1 P1 in the round on size 5 needles) K: Knit P: Purl CO: Cast On Rep: Repeat SSK: Slip, Slip, Knit K2tog: Knit two together BO: Bind Off WS: Wrong Side RS: Right Side P2tog: Purl two together YO: Yarn over Note: This pattern is starts off knitting back and forth along rows, and then switches to knitting in the round. It is knitted from the bottom, up. This pattern is designed for a medium fit, and is currently untested. Bottom: Using size 8 needles, CO 256 stitches Switch to size 6 needles Row 1: slip 3, P1 K1 till end, turn work Row 2: slip 3, K1 P1 till end, turn work Rep last two rows till work measures 25 ½”, ending with Row 2 Working in Round: Join stitches in the round, placing a marker at the beginning K1 P1 for 5”

Switch to size 5 needles K1 P1 for 17” Place a marker at the half-way point (2 markers total) *K1 P1 till 3 stitches from marker, K2tog, K1, slip marker, P1, SSK* REP * for 18 rows (184 stitches remain) K1 P1 for 9” BO 92 stitches (This will be the back of the work)

Finishing: Weave in ends and sew in two buttons onto the Collar, opposite of the buttonholes * You can adjust the height by adding or subtracting inches from the 9” ** You can change how high up the thigh where the slit is by adjusting the 22” and 25 ½”. -Lower: subtract inches from 25 ½”, and add the same amount to 22” -Higher: add inches to 25 ½”, and subtract the same amount from 22”
