DO NOT TEACH A STARVING MAN TO FISH You've heard this old saying before: give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. You may even be nodding your head in agreement right now. Sorry, this saying is all wrong. When a person is starving, that's not the time to fill their head with knowledge. The right thing to do is to first give the person a fish, banishing his hunger, and only then teach them to fish. Far too often, people ignore this common-sense first step. They see someone who is struggling, and they rush to offer wisdom. "Let me tell you what I'd do in your position," a well-meaning individual might offer. But few of us understand the anxiety, confusion, and uncertainty that comes with overwhelming need. People in the midst of personal disasters are reeling. They can't think straight. Their nerves may be shot. Their confidence may be non-existent. We all know affluent, outwardly successful professionals who lack confidence and, at least temporarily, the ability to think straight. Can you imagine how people must feel in the midst of outright failure?
Rushing to offer a struggling person long-term advice is a waste of time. Instead, it makes far more sense to help them regain their equilibrium. Once this happens, once their ears, heart and mind open, then you have an opportunity to teach a new skill. What does it take to decide whether a person needs a fish before a fishing lesson? Although things have changed some of our views have remained true. I was so thrilled to talk to Eartha Robinson an icon in the entertainment world. She has graced many stages and choreographed just as many. But her grace and her moral blue print is one I can respect. She refuses to play into the wicked ways of those on the race to success. Eartha has learned that character out ways deception every time. I have watched many celebrities fall victim to the opinions of their fans and society, and that is a deadly highway, to have the stamina and the know-how to keep your head up remembering who you are and who's you are is much easier said than done. But somehow Earthat has maintained that level of confidence and after 30* years in the industry, she is still clocking those dollars baby.
Eartha is currently in the process of opening her studio up again after the covid pandemic. Alright, so something happened and now you find yourself alone again. If you are feeling lost and lonely, you probably want to know how to survive a breakup. It's normal for you to feel a little down and sad after a breakup. You've likely read it before, but time will heal all your pain and suffering. However, here are a few quick tips that will help shortcut that recovery time and help you get back on your feet. So, it seems that you've suddenly found yourself by yourself again. If you're feeling emotionally lost and hurt, you probably want to learn how to survive a breakup. It's normal for you to feel a little depressed and sad after a breakup. You've probably heard it before, but time will heal all your pain and suffering. However there are a few tricks you can use to help yourself speed up the recovery time. First, come to terms with the thought that the relationship is over. This is a very important thing that will get the ball rolling with the recovery process. It doesn't have to be set in stone, but accept the fact that at least for the present the two of you are broken up. This way you won't feel the urge to annoy your ex with phone calls or emails begging and pleading them to take you back. Doing these types of things will only drive your ex away from you even more. Both of you need to take a breather from the relationship, at least for a little while. So step back from your relationship for just a little bit and work on yourself. This is an important phase in moving past a breakup and getting back control of your life.
Second, it's acceptable to mourn the end of your relationship. We usually need time to work through the emotions that come with the loss of something or someone special to us. So set aside the time to let all the feelings you are experiencing run their course. Some people might tell you to just jump immediately into a fresh new relationship. This isn't something you should do. Rebound relationships are very rarely successful. It isn't fair to expect someone new to take on the burden of holding your hand as you move on and work through all your feelings for your ex. Try to feel complete in yourself and resolve all those messy emotions from your previous relationship. Then when you feel that you are comfortable, you can start seeing new people again. One of the most important things you can do in moving on from a breakup is to take the time to reestablish your own identity again. Third, stay active. Do some things that will help you keep active and out of the house. Go out with your friends, try out some interesting hobbies, or enroll in a class on a fun topic. These activities are excellent ways to keep motivated and keep yourself from feeling depressed and staying in too much. Also you should begin moving away from doing "couple activities" and try out new things that you think are exciting and interesting. Making new friends and picking up new skills is a fun way to improve your life. These hobbies will make you a very interesting and attractive person down the road. To help ease yourself through a breakup, stay busy. This helps to keep your mind off your relationship and helps build your unique personality at the same time. Breakups definitely are not easy. The advice here will help you through this turbulent time in your life. I know that it probably won't be easy to pick yourself up and dust yourself off to begin with. The Law of Attraction does not discriminate. It always gives you back what you are vibrating. Therefore it is vital that you always 'clean up' your vibrations so that you attract exactly what you want. Because of the Law of Attraction, the Universe responds to our whole being. We are made up of energy that vibrates at a specific frequency. Everything we do, feel, think, etc. also vibrates with energy and this energy surrounds us. As we move through our lives, we are walking advertisements and the Universe constantly reflects back the energy we're vibrating. It's always a perfect match. It works in the same way tuning forks work. If you strike a tuning fork, another tuning fork of the same note will also vibrate even if it's across the room. So, when you are thinking positive but are also feeling worried, fear or doubt, the Universe picks up on all your vibrational signals and feeds back to you an experience of a similar vibration. Usually what happens is that your 'negative' emotions cancel out your positive thinking and you experience this as feeling stuck. No energy is moving. Sometimes your 'negative' emotions are stronger in frequency (they're more frequent) than your positive thinking and you attract more thoughts, emotions and experiences that help you feel more fear, worried, and doubtful. This is when it feels like you're spiraling out of control. PAGE 10
STEP 1: Write down your goal - what you want to have (i.e. new relationship, new car, new client, etc.) STEP 2: In relation to your goal, from Step 1, list all the things you don't want. In this step you're uncovering what you don't want to have happen, what you don't want to feel, and the reasons why you can't have what you want. These are what I call the 'Yeah-Buts'. When they come up, you feel negative emotions, which negate your positive energy. So it's best to point them out now so they don't get in the way later. STEP 3: Now write down what you do want. I often look at each statement from my "don't want" list and rewrite it positively. STEP 4: Take each item on your "Do Want" list and ask yourself why you want it. How would you feel if you had each list item? Would you feel happy? Loved? Appreciated? Valued? By getting in touch with how you would feel, you're getting to the core of why you want something. And, as you're writing down your feelings, you're connecting energetically with what you desire. You're magnetizing your desires to you because the Universe is constantly feeding back to you what you put out, moment by moment, per the Law of Attraction. The more time you spend in this feeling place, the easier it will be to manifest what you want. In closing, I encourage you to use this 4-step process often. I feel that it helps us get in touch with that part of ourselves that we often ignore and discredit, yet often has the biggest impact in our manifestation efforts. We effectively create what we want through the Law of Attraction when we use our whole being instead of just our minds.
