Hey Folks, Hey Folks, Spring is in the air and great riding
is going on everywhere. Make sure to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your motorcycle. If it’s time for a new motorcycle, be sure to visit our amazing advertisers! It’s amazing how different I feel riding in the car and on the motorcycle. On the motorcycle, I can see so much more of our beautiful area with the mountains and blue skies. I enjoy seeing all the dogwoods blooming and spring
flowers bursting with color. On the motorcycle, you get to enjoy the smell of fresh cut grass or someone cooking dinner/grilling. Our little dog, Gracie will be getting some riding time in this year. She has a new helmet to go with her doggles now. She sits inside her tank bag on Randy’s bike and so enjoys the outdoors and just being with us. People will drive past us then slow down and get beside us to take pictures of Gracie. She is such a ham; she knows how darn cute she is! She is our little ambassador. She went to Daytona Bike Week with us and made friends everywhere she went. The guy pictured here came over while we were at the SBM Ladies Bike Show at Destination Daytona. I think she likes him.

The bike was built with custom parts like a grenade oil tank. World famous bike builder Dave Perewitz laid the flames on all the tins after the main camo paint was laid down. To be at the top level of any sport for many consecutive years in a row is something that rarely happens. It takes years of dedication and sacrifice. Floyd Mayweather, Peyton Manning, and Lebron James all come to mind. In the world of Supercross in the 21st century, one name will be remembered among the greats. His name is Ryan Villopoto. The Washington native has weathered every storm in the 2014 season and once again has commanded a huge lead with only a handful of rounds to go. Every new season is often described as having the most depth of talent. One fact remains; Ryan Villopoto is only 2 points away from clinching his 4th consecutive title. Only 7 time cham-

A
s the 2012 Tellico Biker Rally spring event was winding down on a Saturday night, I sat at the camper at 2am fixing to head to bed after the entertainment ended (or so I thought). I began to hear an acoustic guitar and a voice that caught my attention. I was going to introduce myself, but it was one of my friend’s son’s, Wes Rowland, but I didn’t know he could sing and play. That wasn’t the only thing I didn’t know; the songs he was singing that night, he wrote. Next thing I know, it’s 6:30am and the sun is coming up. I asked him, “Why don’t you have a band?” His reply was very humble and shy, I never thought about it, really…but maybe”, he said with a grin. I told him, if he ever got a band together, practiced and was ready to play and tour, I’d sponsor the band. Little did I know, something was brewing in those hills of Tennessee. Starting out with a solo acoustic act, Wes met up with Robbie Griffin at the Skyway Bar & Grill, who was with another band at the time. The two clicked from the start, became best friends and well…Exit 60 band was born. Sweetwater, Tennessee is located off Interstate 75, you get off at Exit 60; that’s where the name of the band came from and where they call home. Move forward to today; after a few band member changes, EXIT 60 is now on their way up the ladder of music success. The great thing I can see in this band is that they are all family oriented. Their families come first and that is a refreshing view in today’s music world. When I’ve visited with them, they’ve had their wives and children with them and hugs abound all the time. A genuine love of family is seen in these guys. It really does warm the heart. And when they get on stage, it’s the love of music that fuels their shows.

Wes Rowland plays guitar and sings lead vocals, Robbie Griffin wears it out on lead guitar, Teddy Dockery keeps the base guitar thumpin’ and Steve Core hammers away on the drums. The band is getting a lot of attention, gaining hundreds of fans and continuing to boost their name, while remaining humble and easily accessible at every show. “We want to meet and talk with everyone that comes to see us at every show if possible”, said Wes Rowland. “If the people don’t like us and don’t spend their hard earned money to come see us then we don’t exist. We love our fans and hope to add more every day.” With their new CD almost complete (Bonfire Rockstars, yep, I leaked it!) the band is looking to bring their type of high energy country/rock sound to everyone. In just a year, their music has grown to include playing in several states including Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. The future looks good for these good ol’ boys from Sweetwater and they don’t mind sharing how to get to their house; it’s right off EXIT 60.

4th Annual OAA Bike Blessing for Area Riders By The Mag Man, Randy Gracy
The rain came but a speedy prayer by Pastor Morgan Clough seemed to help as the downpour seesed and the riders began showing up for the 4th Annual OAA Bike Blessing. The traditional Easter Weekend is just for Sunday worship and festivities, but with the bike blessing scheduled for the Saturday before, motorcycle riders got to have a weekend celebration for the Lord. Preacher Morgan began the ride ceremonies with a “little” preaching from the heart.

My bike is still in paint at Tail Tale Signs with Mike Snetsinger but Preacher Morgan has already committed to come to the Steelhorse Ranch and make a personal blessing on both my wife’s and my bike (as long as there is fried chicken).
The opening ceremonies were concluded, Preacher Morgan and his prayer warriors blessed each and every bike for the upcoming season and the riders went on a 90 mile ride featuring

When the Rubber Meets the Road By Dan Hieronimus My wife Janet and I have toyed around with motorcycles since the 70’s. By ‘toyed around’, I mean we have never set out on a long-range, multi-state tour. We worked our way through a couple two-wheelers and now we enjoy the stability and convenience of our 2006 Honda Goldwing GL1800 Trike. But this story is about the time I had one of those “Thank You Lord” experiences many of us have from time to time. I was in Sevierville, Tennessee for a few days of solo yard-work, rest and relaxation at our “retirement hide-away”. I sprained my left wrist while cutting some heavy brush. I knew then, I would be uncomfortable on the 300 mile ride home to Ironton, Ohio. Gripping the handle bars at interstate speeds would not be as comfortable as usual. The next morning I found my front tire partially deflated. I checked for signs of punctures and found nothing then aired it up to specs. I decided to ride a local trike shop, Volunteer Motorcycles for a professional opinion. The owner found a leaky valve stem, which he replaced and a couple minor gravel cuts in the tread. I was relieved that it was only a valve stem rather than a new tire, but I was now keenly aware that with the non-threatening stone cuts and even if very rare, a front-tire blow out would be a possibility. However, with refreshed confidence and a prayer the next afternoon,

I set out to Ironton. Cruising along I81, I found myself gaining on several 18-wheelers. As a former Ohio State Trooper, I spent thousands of hours on the highway. I am very familiar with where the tire treads along highway berms and sometimes in the middle of the road come from. As I continued getting closer, I focused my view between the rear wheels of the trailer in order to spot any road debris that might appear from under the big-rig. It’s not at all unusual to witness a blow out on the rear wheels of tractor-trailers. It happens hundreds of times each day considering all US highways and every vehicle following behind, will indeed find themselves in the midst of high-speed, flying debris with few if any, options of getting out of the way! To experience an event like this while driving a car is one thing, but to experience the event while riding a motorcycle? Well, that is a whole other scenario. One piece of high-speed, flying tire tread in the face, head, neck or arm could indeed, be catastrophic. As we started up a long gentle grade, the semi directly in front of me began slowing down. As we slowed to somewhere around 60MPH, I started looking for an opportunity to pass. As I was about to pass the tractor-trailer,
I sensed an urgent desire to whisper a little prayer. “Lord, All-Mighty God, protect me should anything go wrong.” That said, I hit the turn signal, advanced to the passing lane and went to full throttle. I did not want to spend unnecessary time alongside the spinning tires. As I came along side the rear tires, there was a notable explosion! Immediately I began praying. Tire tread was flying everywhere, coming at me from the front and from my right. Tire tread from six inches in length to considerably larger pieces passed between my face and my windscreen. Some passed under my tires causing a rough ride for a few seconds which felt much longer. Oh, did I mention I was still praying? Then it was over, the calm after the storm, I pulled alongside the tractor-trailer cab and signaled to the driver that he had experienced a blow-out. As he began to slow down, I continued on my way till I could get to the berm to inspect for any damage to the bike. And yes, to send up a sincere, genuine, heart-felt prayer, a prayer of “Thanks Giving”. A moisteyed prayer like I had not prayed for some time! After collecting myself, I forged ahead and after a couple of hours on the road, I stopped for fuel for a break and another genuinely, heart-felt prayer. The weather was turning from sunny to overcast and rainclouds were ahead of my path. I donned my rain-gear, gave thanks to God, and set out again as the sun was setting. darkness and rain rolled in as I continued along US-23 where coal trucks abound and many animals, including deer, are randomly crossing the highway just to get to the other side. What an adventure, what a time to pray and what a time to praise God. After anoth-
er couple of hours, I was delivered home safely. I had a very clear, profoundly refreshed sense of who is indeed in control, “When the Rubber Meets the Road�. Never ever go it alone. Always, and in All Ways, invite God into your everyday adventures.

10 Years, and a Mother’s Vigil is Stronger Than Ever By The Mag Man, Randy Gracy A mother’s love for her children is undeniable. It goes without saying that the day of conception, the mother’s life is changed forever and there’s a new found appreciation for life and new love for the baby growing inside her. It’s an unbreakable love, forever. That was what Kathy Casey-Nale has for her daughter Jennifer and Jennifer had that same love for her two year-old daughter Adrianna, Kathy’s granddaughter. Ten years ago, Kathy had her life shattered, heart crippled and her life was changed forever. During the night of March 25th, 2004, her daughter Jennifer and Adrianna disappeared and was never to be heard from again. Law Enforcement officials have never closed the case and vow to never give up the search. With new information and the case being reclassified as a homicide, the Robertson County Sheriff ’s Office is making a renewed appeal to the Middle Tennessee community for information that will help provide answers in a case that has strong implications of foul play. The case: Jennifer, 21, and her daughter, Adrianna, 2, were reported missing by Kathy on March 27, 2004. The investigation led deputies to the Robertson County home of Jennifer’s boyfriend, Joey Benton, where Jennifer and Adrianna had been living with Benton in an out

building on the property. He claimed that on the evening of March 25, 2004, Jennifer asked him to take her to a grocery store in Cross Plains to use the phone. Benton said he did so, and then dropped mother and daughter off at a local Exxon. Benton said he pulled across the street and watched as a white four-door car pulled up and Jennifer and Adrianna got inside. Benton also claimed that on March 26, 2004, Jennifer showed up back at his property, collected her belongings and said that she needed some time away.

To this day no one has heard from Jennifer. She was very close to her family and had no reason to leave. Jennifer and Adrianna’s social security numbers were flagged after they were reported missing and have not been used. Their clothes and personal belongings were not taken, Adrianna’s car seat was not taken and Jennifer had no money.
Robertson County Sheriff ’s Office is absolutely committed to not letting Jennifer and Adrianna Wix be forgotten,” Sheriff Bill Holt said. “I strongly believe that there are persons in this community who know what happened to Jennifer and Adrianna, but who have been reluctant to come forward for one reason or another. We today strongly encourage our citizens to help us provide answers and closure to the family, and, as circumstances warrant, justice to these two young persons who chose to live in our area.”

Carley’s Ride

It is neither biased, racially motivated nor particular about whom it attacks. But rest assured, this devilish monster grabs its victims with a vengeance and does its best to subdue them until doctors can successfully fight it off or the Lord takes them home to relieve its side affects; pain and agony.

The call for help was sent out and it was loudly received. Approximately 408 motorcycles with over 500 riders showed up in support of a child fighting, just to live. There were around 500 motorcycles and riders who came to get blessed for the 2014 riding season at the Tennessee Riverpark in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the Choo Choo Wheels of Worship bike Blessing. Lots of fellowship and lots of food followed the blessing of the riders and their bikes. It was a great turn out and a great event.

2 large baking potatoes 1/2 pound lean Benton’s bacon 3/4 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup milk 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 1 teaspoon dried chives 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 3/4 cup shredded mild Cheddar
Directions 1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish. 2.Poke a few holes into each potato using a toothpick. 3.Bake potatoes in the preheated oven until fully cooked, about 1 hour. Cool for about 15 minutes. 4.Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels and crumble. 5.Cut a thin slice from one side of each potato; carefully scoop out the flesh and transfer to a bowl. Discard skins. Mix 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese, sour cream, milk, butter, chives, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder with potatoes. Spread potato mixture into the prepared casserole dish; top with 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. 6.Bake in the preheated oven until just bubbling, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool for at least 5 minutes before serving

hen you sign up with a new insurance company, the advertising and catch words are always about shopping rates and figuring out the best way to save money. When insurance salesmen are quoting you prices and showing you how they can save you money, most of the time you ask two questions….. 1) do I have “full coverage” and 2) “if I hit someone do I have enough coverage so I don’t get sued?” What I have learned from speaking at dozens of seminars and meetings is that the general public’s perception of full coverage doesn’t really mean what most people think. The term “full coverage” usually means your policy has collision coverage on it to cover property damage in the event you cause an accident. Yet, when only focusing on these two questions, you might leave out the most important issue. What happens if the accident is not your fault? The majority of motorcycle accidents are just that, caused by someone else. Whether it is a truck taking a left turn in front of you, or a minivan not paying attention and striking you in the rear, you could all of the sudden be relying on the hope that the individual who just altered your life was responsible enough to have adequate insurance. Yet, there are ways to protect yourself before an accident ever happens. The way to do this is make sure you have adequate uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage.

In most southern states, the term “uninsured motorist” coverage does not simply mean it only applies when an individual is “uninsured”. In Marcos Garza most situations, your coverage could be applied when an individual is “underinsured”. So take this scenario: You get hit on your bike and have to have surgery on your leg. You find out your medical bills are $50,000 and you are out of work for a month. You then find out the person that hit you only carries $25,000 in insurance. You could have a problem. If you have adequate uninsured motorist insurance, in most situations you would be allowed to use your own insurance after you have exhausted the at fault parties insurance policy. This could become crucial if you are laying in bed unable to provide for your family. Now depending on where you live and how your policy is written, different states have laws which will dictate whether you can use your uninsured motorist policies from just your bike or the policies from all of the vehicles you own. This is very important when looking into whether or not you can “stack” all of your policies.
