Registration Information Register your child in summer camps just like you would any other programs. Singleday options available; pre-registration required.

Adventure Camps with the bike icon require participants to bring a properly fitted bike and helmet.

Make sure you get your waitlisted spot! Automated waitlist notifications are sent by email as soon as a spot becomes available. Waitlisted customers have up to 48-hours to accept or decline the spot before it is offered to the next in line. Check to ensure the automated notification arrives in your inbox – rather than your spam or junk folder – to avoid missing out. Notification emails will be sent from communication@perfectmind.com with the subject ‘Pending Confirmation Details’.

Customer Service The Squamish Recreation Customer Service team is here to support you with online registration and account inquiries. We can help you set up an online account and help you through your online registration. Customer Service contact: 604.898.3604.

Medical Forms & Waivers We require a medical form for each summer camp participant. Please arrive 15 minutes early on the first day of camp to fill out medical and waiver forms. These forms are required to ensure the safe participation of your children and are kept with the camp group throughout the week. Forms can be found online, and can be printed and completed prior to the first day of camp.

It’s A Bug’s Life

Eco Rangers

Participants will move and play while checking out what hides under rocks, in leaves and everywhere else in nature!

Let’s go green together! Campers will have fun learning about plants in the garden, playing ‘green’ themed games and making natural art projects! By the end of the week campers will leave with many ideas and resources on how they can reduce their eco footprint at home and beyond. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool. 9-12yrs will be walking to Rope Runner.

T-Rex Trekkers

Dinosaur Discoveries

In this session, we’ll be trekking back in time to trace the tracks of the T-Rex and other dinosaurs. Your budding paleontologists will love to explore the world of the dinosaurs with us.

Discover your inner dino! Make your own fossil, create an epic volcano, and learn about the various dinosaurs that roamed the land before us. 7-9yrs will be visiting the Sea to Sky Gondola. Transportation to the Gondola will be either on BC Transit, or Recreation Services. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Let’s Get Messy: Arts and Science!

If your child likes experimenting, then this session is for you. Participants will learn about the world around them through easy experiments, movement and play.

This week is all about the wild and wacky world of art and science! We will be doing a variety of fun experiments, art projects and other activities! Come prepared to get messy. Don’t forget your running shoes and your bike for active fun as well. All campers must be able to ride without training wheels; bikes that are in good working condition and properly fitted helmets are required. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Under the Sea

Treasure Hunters

Seashells, Starfish, and song! Your child will love to ‘catch a wave’ with our team to learn about ocean animals and their environment, with artwork you’ll love!

We are searching for buried treasure! Come and discover how to use a treasure map and follow clues to find the reward. Campers will have the opportunity to try geocaching for nearby hidden treasure! 7-9yrs will walk to the Smoke Bluffs to meet Squamish Rock Guides for climbing. 9-12yrs will walk to Rope Runner 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Animals Big and Small

All About Animals

From ladybugs to lions, from butterflies to bears, your little animal lover will enjoy exploring all aspects of the animal kingdom.

Did you know bears can smell food from over a kilometre away? This week is full of fun with stories, art and science that are all about... you guessed it: animals! Campers will take part in a variety of art projects and active games each day while learning about nature and wildlife living in Squamish and beyond. All campers must be able to ride without training wheels; bikes that are in good working condition and properly fitted helmets are required. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Little Sports Stars

Sports of All Sorts

Run! Jump! This session will have your athlete playing a variety of sports and games. They will be pulling you outside to keep the play going until the lights come on!

Join us for an action-packed week of soccer, pickleball, relay races, and much more. This camp is appropriate for all ability levels. Campers will have a chance to work on their fundamental movement skills while making new friends and working together! 7-9yrs will walk to the Smoke Bluffs to meet Squamish Rock Guides for climbing. 9-12yrs will be walking to Rope Runner. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Chasing Nature

Come join us to learn about the hidden world of gardens through active play, science experiments, and fun art projects.

Join us to explore local trails, identify the many trees and plants that live amongst us, and cool down at the end of the day with some water games and activities. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool. 9-12yrs will be walking to the Smoke Bluffs to meet the Squamish Rock Guides.

We are going to rev up participants with races and running. This high-octane session is sure to have them thankful that they made the pit stop.

Curious about how things work? Get creative and experiment through team building, active games, and fun group projects. 7-9yrs will be visiting the Sea to Sky Gondola. Space Rangers

Out of this World

Calling all astronauts! Explore planets, stars and rocket ships.

Dive deep into the galaxy this week! Get your hands messy with galactic slime, create glowing stars and take part in the solar system challenge. All campers must be able to ride without training wheels; bikes that are in good working condition and properly fitted helmets are required. 7-12yrs will enjoy one day swimming in the pool.

Squamish Bike Camps

Through quality coaching and instruction, with a focus on safety and fun, riders aged 7 to13 years will develop their mountain bike skills, confidence, and love of the sport. Basic biking skills are required as this program takes riding ‘off-road’ and onto the trails where we’ll find rocks, roots, loose gravel, dirt, and other obstacles. Competency riding ‘green’ level trails and riding uphill and downhill are required. Riders will be grouped according to ability and will explore off-road trails specific to their level of riding.

CO-ED PROGRAM

Riders will develop their mountain biking skills in a fun and safe environment while being supported by their coaches and peers. We will explore a variety of trails that are appropriate for the groups’ overall riding ability. This program may not take place at Brennan Park and participants may be asked to meet our staff at a specified location which will be communicated via email. First day attendance is mandatory in order for our coaches to conduct a skills assessment. Squamish Recreation Services Staff Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $330 (5 sessions) $265 (4 sessions)

Information

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

The location of your camp will be communicated to you in the welcome email sent out the Friday prior to the start of camp (Monday). Please be on time to pick up your child from camp. There is a $5 charge for the first 15 minutes, the charge is $1 per minute after that.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP

A Camp Weekly Notice will be emailed to parents on the Friday prior to the start of camp. Please ensure we have your current email address by calling the customer service desk at 604.898.3604. Please read the Camp Weekly Notice and send any specific gear required each day. Camps will be held outside. Please ensure your camper is prepared for all types of weather (rain, sun and wind). Please send your child with sunscreen applied, with extra sunscreen, hat, jacket, warm long sleeve, running shoes. We will remind your child to re-apply sunscreen, but we will not apply sunscreen to your child. For mountain biking camps please read the rider/parent handbook that will get emailed one week before camp.

CAMP CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a camp cancellation, you will be notified by phone at least 48 hours prior to the start of the camp. Please ensure we have your correct home and cell phone number on file.

WITHDRAWING FROM A DAY/WEEK CAMP

If you choose to withdraw your child from camp, you must notify us five days (Tuesday) prior to the first day of camp (Monday). If you choose to withdraw with less than the required notice or after the camp begins, no refund will be given.

CREDIT & REFUND POLICY

To receive a full refund the registant must withdraw in person, or by calling Recreation Services, five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the start of the first day of the weekly camp or five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the start of the day camp. No refund will be issued if withdrawal is requested less than five (5) calendar days (120 hours) prior to the camp starting time.

RECREATION ACCESS PROGRAM

The Recreation Access Pass (RAP) program allows Squamish residents who are in financial need to access Recreation Services programs at a discounted rate. Visit squamish.ca/programs-and-activities for eligibility and application details.

Youth leadership courses are returning this summer! There will be a variety of programs and courses to guide youth and set them up for success. Search for these courses under Certifications - 10yrs+ and Certifications - 13 to 18yrs
