REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Trip registration will be taken only when accompanied by payment. All trips are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Trip Itineraries are subject to change without prior notice. Register By: Mail, Phone, Online or In-Office Acceptable Payments: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover Registrations are non-transferable. Should a cancellation occur, those on the trip’s waiting list will be contacted first to fill the opening.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Day Trips Day trips/BINGOS that cost $50 or less: Full balance due at time of registration. Deposits: $10 non-refundable deposit must be received at registration. Cancellation: Cancelling less than 14 days prior to the trip will not receive a refund. Participants cancelling more than 14 days prior to the trip will receive a refund minus a $10 administration fee. Extended Trips: Deposit: $50 non-refundable deposit must be received at registration. Cancellation: Cancellation policy will vary with each extended trip depending on the vendors and timelines involved with that particular trip. Check each individual extended trip for the cancellation policy. Final Payments: Individuals are responsible for paying each trip’s remaining balance on time. Reminders are not sent out. Remaining balance for Day Trips is due one month before its scheduled date. “Balance due by” dates are listed under each trip’s description in this brochure. Payment timelines for Extended Trips will be included in their itinerary and posted online once registration opens. 2 | TRIPS

Pick up point for all day trips and extended trips will be at the Memorial Hall parking lot in Blanchette Park unless otherwise stated in the trip’s description. There is plenty of parking available should you wish to leave your vehicle there during the trip.

**“Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” at the Fabulous Fox Theatre

Get ready for this entertaining journey as we make our way to the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis for the remarkable production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The Gaslight Squares “Hot Time in the Old Town” at the Sheldon

Start your day with coffee and donuts at the Sheldon in St. Louis, MO before the concert begins. The Gaslight Squares are a traditional jazz band playing a dynamic style of ragtime and a variety of jazz and blues. Led by British trumpet player T.J. Muller, the band consists of Jacob Alspach on tenor banjo, Matt Sellers on piano and Jon Weiss on tuba. “The Laramie Project” Show at St. Charles Community College

Join us as we make our way to the Center Stage Theatre at the St. Charles Community College for the riveting production of The Laramie Project. This gripping play concerns Americans’ reaction to the murder of Matthew Shepard. In October of 1998, Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die in Laramie, Wyoming. Kaufman and others went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews about the event, from which they wrote this play. After this performance we will make our way to the Pasta House for lunch. And we’re off to the races again! Join us as we make our way to Fairmount Park in Collinsville, IL. Experience this popular destination as we enjoy the excitement of thoroughbred horse racing. **“Exit Laughing” at Florissant Civic Center & Hendel’s Market

If you like your jokes bold and laugh-out-loud funny and your plays to be full of surprises, Exit Laughing might be just the show for you! Exit Laughing focuses on a single night in the lives of three middle-aged women who meet weekly for a game of cards. When their fourth player, Mary, passes away, the ladies “borrow” her ashes from the funeral parlor for one last game. Surprisingly, Mary still has a lot to say and she unleashes it upon them through after-life messages and gifts - setting into motion a new path for her friends. This is a feel-good comedy with plenty of laughs and will appeal to anyone who is part of a group of old friends. Before the show begins we will stop for dinner at the popular Hendel’s Market. Museum at the Gateway Arch and Inside the Economy Museum

Travel with us to visit Inside the Economy Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the Museum at the Gateway Arch. Take a self guided tour of Inside the Economy Museum and learn about how the economy works and your role in it with interactive displays, games, sculptures and videos. After this educational, hands-on experience we will make our way to the Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch. Our next stop will be the Gateway Arch. Here we will visit the newly renovated museum and learn about the role St. Louis played in the westward expansion of the United States and about how the historic Arch came to be. There are six interactive galleries within this museum including the Colonial St. Louis, Jefferson’s Vision, New Frontiers, Riverfront Era, Manifest Destiny and Building the Dream. Get acquainted with the popular sites and local favorites that St. Louis has to offer during our fully narrated 75 minute tour aboard an authentic, air-conditioned trolley with brass rails, bells and all. The tour will begin and end at the Lumiere Place Casino. FITNESS PROGRAMS ACTIVE AGING (AGES 50+)

TAI CHI FITNESS

This program is designed to be a safe and effective exercise for a wide range of ages and conditions including arthritis. It uses the Sun Style of Tai Chi with its Qigong exercise to benefit balance, flexibility, mobility, coordination, management of arthritis and health in general.

This program is designed for adults, ages 50 and older, to increase muscle strength, balance, flexibility and range of motion for daily activities. There will be some resistance equipment used as well as chairs for seated exercises and standing support.

Tai Chi Level 1: Designed for beginners or those in the early stages of practicing Tai Chi. No previous experience necessary. Tai Chi Level 2: For intermediate Tai Chi participants who have taken at least two session of Tai Chi Level 1.

Did you know the Parks and Recreation Department offers a Parks Passport Card for St. Charles City Residents? This card offers several discounts to different St. Charles City businesses, discounts for St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department programs and discounts on daily pool admission including the NEW Wapelhorst and Blanchette Aquatic Facilities. The card will also get you St. Peters Resident rates to the Rec-Plex and their outdoor pools. It's almost time to renew your Parks Passport Card! The current card expires December 31, 2018. The new card will offer discounts from January 2019 through December 2020, that's 2 years of savings! The new cards will be available in January, 2019. Check our website for updates! HOW TO REDEEM YOUR FREE PARKS PASSPORT CARD This card is free and available to St. Charles CITY RESIDENTS ONLY. To redeem your Parks Passport Card you must visit our Administration Office in Blanchette Park with two proofs of residency. Bring in two of these three types ID with you: Driver's License with current address AND a current Tax Receipt OR current paid Utility Bill
