PASSION 2022

Founded by evangelical pastor Louie Giglio in 1997, Passion Conferences is a Christian organisation best known for its annual gatherings designed to unite young adults for a “spiritual awakening in this generation”. Since Passion was launched, in Austin, Texas, the event has gone global and grown exponentially, with its latest edition filling Atlanta’s MercedesBenz Stadium over two days this January, with Stageco US providing the staging infrastructure.

Stageco project manager Tom Frederickx reported that he and his team devised a similar structure to that employed in 2020. He said: “This year, the conference was held on January 2nd and 3rd 2022, and our challenge was to again build up to 70% of the structures within 27 hours of arrival, enabling production to begin their load in. The crazy thing was that we started building on December 31st at 5.00am and worked into the STAG E New Year. By lunch time on the 1st, after 32 hours, we were completely ready for the client.”
