CAR NAME–YEAR & MODEL INFO
MY LOVE OF MUSCLE CARS IN GENERAL CAME FROM WHEN I WAS A YOUNG BOY AND SHARING MY FATHER’S PASSION WITH HIM.
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My enthusiasm for the Ford Mustang started when I was 18 years old, but my love of muscle cars in general came from when I was a young boy and sharing my father’s passion with him. His love of Ford and cars became my love as well. When I turned eighteen, I went to my uncle who was the Service Director for University Ford in Durham, NC and asked for his assistance in finding the perfect car. The perfect car wound up being a 1993 5.0 LX Foxbody. Unfortunately, at 30 I decided to sell my dream car due to having our third amazing child.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
Now, 15 years later I am the proud owner of a beautiful 2014 Mustang GT S197 with Ford’s Track Package. She drives and rides like a dream. I compare driving her to going to a therapist and being able to find peace, freedom, and so much happiness. Owning and definitely driving a Mustang like mine is such a good thing for my mental health.
I call my new Mustang, Bella, and her Instagram handle is St3lla_B3lla2014. My wife and I are taking Bella on a completely different journey. We are taking her to car shows and Mustang cruises with the local mustang group, NC Stangs (they can be found on FB and Instagram). I have only owned her for about six months, but within that time she placed second in the King of the Ranch Kids Path 2023 car show. Also, in September we will be attending Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach, SC, and YES, she has been entered into the car show there. Fingers crossed! So many firsts for me and I am so excited to see and meet so many people, places, and attend events.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
Mods include a Boss 302 with Accufab intake, Airaid mass cold air intake tube, Kook’s long tube headers, 3.73 rear end gears, H-Pipe with 3” Corsa tips, tuned to 93 Octane, GT500 20“ wheels, rear wing, side rockers and front chin spoiler, and Recaro seats.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
