SENIOR PROGRAMS The City of Steamboat Springs Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of exciting summer activities and trips for anyone 55 years and finer. Activity fees include transportation, admission fees, tickets, and hotel when necessary. Meals are not included in the activity fee and are the responsibility of the participant. Participation is limited, and on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration opens at 7:30 AM on April 1. There will be a 10% discount if you register for 6 or more activities.
COLORADO ROCKIES BASEBALL Enjoy a fun day at Coors Field as the Colorado Rockies take on the San Francisco Giants. First pitch is at 1:10 PM, and the group will arrive early enough to watch warm up and grab lunch. Date: Thursday, May 9 Cost: $30 (Includes Transportation & Admission) Time: 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM
DENVER’S DAZZLE JAZZ BAR Spend an afternoon at the Dazzle Jazz Bar in Denver with music, food, and cocktails. Enjoy creative comfort food from the bar’s lunch menu, and wet your whistle with one of Dazzle’s famous cocktails. While you dine, enjoy the smooth sounds of the live band. Date: Thursday, May 30 Cost: $50 (Includes Transportation, Tickets, Entrée and Drink) Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
SAILING TOUR IN FRISCO Sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic two hour sailing tour on the dazzling clear water of Lake Dillon. The group will board a 22’ Ensign Boat with captain and crew at noon. Bring a drink and picnic lunch to enjoy on the water. Enjoy spectacular views of the Continental Divide, Buffalo & Red Mountains, and the 10 Mile Range. Date: Sunday, June 23 Cost: $60 (Includes Transportation and Sailing) Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
MAMMA MIA! MATINÉE “A mother, a daughter, three possible dads, and a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget!” Enjoy a matinée of the classic play Mamma Mia! at the Lake Dillon Theatre. Snack on appetizers and a complimentary beverage in the lobby before the show, all part of the Senior Day festivities at the Lake Dillon Theatre. SENIOR PROGRAMS BLACKHAWK/CENTRAL CITY CASINOS - DAY TRIP Are you feeling lucky? Enjoy a day trip to the Blackhawk and Central City casinos. Start the day at the Lodge Casino, then take the free city bus to any casino in Blackhawk or Central City. Enjoy an afternoon of gambling, have a leisurely lunch, and explore the area with friends. Date: Saturday, July 27 Cost: $20 (Includes Transportation) Time: 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM
LEADVILLE TRAIN RIDE Take a breathtaking 2.5 hour train ride through the untamed wilderness of the San Isabel National Forest. First, explore the unique town of Leadville, the “highest incorporated city in North America”, and its rich mining heritage. Then, climb aboard for a thrilling, historic train ride. Eat lunch in town or bring a lunch to enjoy on the train. Date: Wednesday, August 14 Cost: $60 (Includes Transportation & Train Ticket) Time: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
BLACKHAWK/CENTRAL CITY CASINOS - OVERNIGHT Let’s try out our luck! Choose your adventure, two days to gamble, see the sights, take in a show, and enjoy delicious meals at the locations of your choice. Stay at the Ameristar Hotel in the heart of Blackhawk and within walking distance of several casinos. A FREE shuttle is also available to Central City.
