A large crowd gathered on a beautiful day at WHR for this year’s Lone Star sale. As always, the cattle presented for those in attendance were of the highest quality. An especially strong group of open heifer calves were again the feature of this sale. The bidding was active in this snappy sale from the seats as well as on the phones and on the internet. Congratulations to everyone at WHR for again presenting a leading event. $70,000 - Lot 17A - Open Heifer - WHR TS Augusta Pride 1910 ET. A roan, polled September 16, 2021 daughter of Hill Haven Fire Storm 28C and out of Tristar Augusta Pride 4009. This super fancy show prospect drew the attention of most at the sale. She has the style and look to make one that will be in the winners circle in her future. With her pedigree, she will be a leader he whole life. Purchased by Madewell Cattle Company of Commerce, Texas. $60,000 - Lot 13 - Open Heifer - WHR Cecilia Lady 1N03 ET. A roan, polled November 3, 2021 daughter of NBS Low Rider 42W ET and out of WHR Cecilia D 7101 ET. This was a top show heifer from the famed Cecilia line at WHR. This bloodline continues to rise to the top of great females in this sale. This one is another with the dimension and style to be in the winners circle. Purchased by Rick Hogue of Newcomersville, Ohio. $50,000 - Lot 17B - Open Heifer - WHR TS Augusta Pride 1912 ET. A white, polled September 16, 2021 daughter of Hill Haven Fire Storm 28C and out of Tristar Augusta Pride 4009. A flush mate to the powerful Lot 17A and an awesome female in her own right. With her style and balance, she will also compete at the highest level. This is another prospect to watch for. Purchased by Gus Parker of Ardmore, Oklahoma. $50,000 - Lot 15 - Open Heifer - WHR RHS Demi D 9101 ET. A roan, polled September 10, 2021 daughter of DF Waco 6W and out of WHR LS Demi 8920 ET. This fancy youngster is from the famed Demi line at WHR. She has the look of a Waco daughter with the super front end to go with the show look. She will be in the hunt this whole show season. Purchased by Craig Gana of Martell, Nebraska. $37,000 - Lot 14 - Open Heifer - WHR SRVM Cecelia 1402 - A RWM, polled April 16, 2021 daughter of WHR Range Rider 6D02 and out of GNCC WHR Cecelia 12Z ET. Another of the top of the line show prospects that has the dimension and bone to be a leader in the show ring. She has a beautiful front end that makes her popular to all that see her. Purchased by Cave Creek Farms of Batesville, Arkansas. $30,000 - Lot 2C - Open Heifer - WHR Cumberland 1908 ET. A roan, polled September 13, 2021 daughter of Hill Haven Fire Storm 28C and out of WHR Cumberland AYE ET. A super young female from another of the leading female lines at WHR. The Cumberland line has produced many great individuals over the years. Her overall appearance make her an instant competitor at the highest level. Purchased by Mike Holcomb of Anna, Texas. $23,000 - Lot 1 - Cow/Calf Pair - WHR Cumberland AYE ET. A red, polled 2015 daughter of BISS Element 79 370Z and out of WHR Cumberland DAZ 8420 ET selling with a red, polled February 14, 2022 bull calf at side sired by WHR The Judge 9305 ET. This was a great opportunity to purchase a great proven female. She is the dam of the Lot 2C female. This one is a donor cow supreme with many years of production ahead of her. This was a super pair.
