Malissa Hackshaw 21, Cocorite
Three things about yourself that you like and why? Well, I like my eyes. Because of their light colour they look really great in the sunlight. I like my nose, because it’s shaped really nice and I like my lips because they are luscious and pink. What is your OMG moment? I was walking in Port of Spain and these three guys were heckling me. I got so thrown by what they were saying that as I was stepping up on the pavement, I slipped and fell on my knees, I was so embarrassed…. OMG! Makeup Artist

I had sex for the first time with a prostitute that i paid for. I was 18 and just wanted to get rid of it, should i tell people or just say it was just some random and forget about it...
Dirty Word
When I was younger I used to think the word ‘birth’ was rude and I used to hate it when people would say it. So basically, I thought ‘birth’ was a swear word. I laugh at it now but I think I still have a problem with the word...In class once (when I was younger) the teacher gave us a little education on babies and said the word birth like 15 times and I cringed every time. I had such an issue with the word. I hated it so much. It’s so stupid but I don’t even know what drove me to think that way about the word.
Can’t breastfeed because of gross feelings ok let’s just be frank. It turns me on. But I don’t enjoy it. It’s a viscerally unpleasant kind of arousal that makes me want to throw my newborn son somewhere far away from me and crawl out of my skin into a pit of lemons and fire. It feels so gross I want to vomit. It makes me feel like a disgusting pedophile. I was abused as a kid, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. But I know I dread it so much that I’ve started bottle feeding.
My dad just added me on facebook after I haven’t seen him in 14 years. I have no idea how to deal with it. I empathize with the guy as another flawed human being myself and I stopped hating him years ago. Thing is, I understand him, I know how shitty he feels at not being there and I think he knows how badly he hurt my brother and I. I also know that he knows there is no coming back from that. There is no recovery for what made me into the person I am today. He can’t undo his mistake no matter how much he wants to. Most of all I can understand the pain it causes him, pain no venom I spew could ever hope to match. In the end I feel bad for him, I’ve more than forgiven him, but shit, I didn’t think Id ever have to deal with him trying to get back into my life. I can deal with abandonment, but reconciliation? How the hell does one deal with that? How do I do this? What do?
Ooops!!
I am addicted to weed, i told my family and friends, i told them all i am quitting and that i have been sober for 3 months. I still smoke daily I have been addicted for about two years now, i told my family amd friends about this 4 months ago. I told them that i would quit smoking. My mom called today and i told her i have been sober for the last three months, and that i patched things up with my wife. She is very proud of me. In reality i didnt patch things up with my wife, she left me to move in with her boss. I have not stopped smoking weed, i smoked less for the first two weeks, but after that i fell back into the old pattern. I hate myself, i want to change, i really do. But all i really do is get high and tell myself i will change tomorrow
I am 25 years old with no degree or no real job experience. I started college four years ago and I hated my surroundings. I never liked the college I attended and I think that’s around the time that I started to feel depressed (also due to other things). I had a terrible roommate and felt alone (only had made one friend) for my entire first year of college and I ended up getting poor grades in my second semester. I failed school in my second year due to my lack of motivation to get up and go to class. I still hated my college and knowing that my high school friends were having a better time at their schools lowered my motivation even more. I wasted my father’s money and also disappointed my family since education is really important to them.
i think i squeezed my puppy’s neck in the door yesterday i was going inside the house and she was wagging her tail following me i quickly closed the door and then i heard burrrr.... i felt terrible but thank God she’s ok and got a lot of puppy chow as compensation.

THE 5 KEYS TO WEALTH
AND HAPPINESS
We all have the ability to take absolute charge of our lives—but having the ability isn’t the same as using it.
Life is full of pitfalls that prevent us from maximizing our full potential. The 5 Keys to Wealth and Happiness is your map to where some of these pitfalls are, and your guide to overcoming them. If you master these keys, there’s no limit to what you can do!
Key #1: You must learn how to handle frustration.
Frustration can kill dreams. It can change a positive attitude into a negative one, an empowering state into a crippling one. Look at almost any great success, and you’ll find there’s been massive frustration along the way. All successful people know to plow through roadblocks, using each setback as a learning experience.
Key #2: You must learn how to handle rejection.
Is there anything in the human language that stings more than “no?” How often have you decided not to try for a position at your company, make a sales call, or take an audition because you didn’t want to be rejected? There are no real successes without rejection. The more rejection you get, the better you are, the more you’ve learned, and the closer you are to your outcome.
Key #3: You must learn to handle financial pressure.
Handling financial pressure is about knowing how to get and how to give, knowing how to earn and how to save. Money is like anything else in life; you can make it work for you, or against you.
Learn to deal with financial pressure with the same purpose and elegance as other things in your life, so money is no longer a source of unhappiness or compromised ideals.
Key #4: You must learn to handle complacency.
“It’s not the events of your life that determine how you feel and act, but rather the way you interpret and evaluate those experiences.” – Anthony Robbins
We’ve all seen people—celebrities, athletes, business owners, etc.—who reach a level of success and then stop. Comfort can be a disastrous emotion because when we get too comfortable, we stop growing, creating, sharing and adding value. The key to managing complacency is to stay focused on your vision and make sure you don’t “major in minor things.”
Key #5: Always give more than you expect to receive.
This is the most important key because it virtually guarantees true happiness. Most people spend their time thinking about how they can receive. Our lives change the moment we change our focus from what we can get to what we can give. The key to any relationship is you have to give first and then keep on giving. Don’t stop and wait to receive! Let Tony assist you on your journey to ultimate happiness: combine the 5 Keys with the Hour of Power! Learn more at http://www.tonyrobbins. com/hour-of-power.

The Power of Purpose:
Your secret to following through
Anthony Robbins’ Rapid Planning Method is a powerful system for achieving the goals that matter most to your life. R represents the results we’re after. Clarifying your results (or outcome) helps you focus on your desired target. Once you know the result you’ve committed to, you must know why you want it, and why you’re taking action. In other words, you should know your purpose. Having a sense of real purpose, like compelling reasons, will provide you with the drive necessary to make your desired result a reality. There is a major difference between simply having a dream, and having enough reasons to push yourself through the inevitable obstacles that will stand between you and your goals. There are many ways to achieve a result or outcome, but you must know why you are going after it. This way, if your
first plan or attempt fails, you will have the necessary drive to follow through and keep moving toward your ultimate vision. Your purpose gives you the emotional reasons why you want to follow through and do whatever it takes to create the outcome you desire. Whereas an outcome (or result) produces focus, a purpose gives you drive. For example, it’s one thing to say, “I want to become a millionaire.” It’s another thing to say, “I want to become a millionaire because I will be able to help my children; make a difference in the world; develop the pride of knowing that I’ve overcome so many challenges; contribute to the homeless; and create many magical, fun moments for myself and those I love!” When you fully feel why you are doing something, you will create the emotional excitement and “juice” that will give you the drive and momentum to create the result. Your purpose is the compelling reasons why you want to do something—reasons that will give you the necessary drive to follow through on your plan. QUESTIONS TO ASK: 1) Why do I want to do this? 2) What is my real purpose? 3) What will this give me? 4) How will it make me feel? CHANGE YOUR FOCUS – RETHINK YOUR TO-DO LIST If we want to achieve extraordinary results and fulfillment, we need more than just time management systems. We need a new system of thinking, a way to focus immediately on the results that are most important to us in our lives. Instead of focusing on what it is we need to
do, we should first focus on what it is we really want. We must think in terms of results—the R in Anthony Robbins’ Rapid Planning Method. Having a clear result or outcome and consistently focusing on it immediately changes your behavior. For example, can you remember the last time you were caught up in an argument? Maybe you forgot what you were even arguing about—yet you knew inside you had to win! What if, in the middle of that argument, you asked yourself, “What result do I really want from this?” You would have realized that your outcome was not to argue, but to create a resolution. This simple shift in focus would have immediately changed the direction of the communication, and would have likely moved you from a state of arguing toward a focus on resolution. Remember: Whatever you focus on, you will feel and experience at a stronger level. If you focus on why you have so many problems in your life, you will surely be able to come up with a long list of reasons. If you focus on all the activities that are keeping you busy, you’ll find yourself continuously adding more and more to your list. Focus on the results you are committed to, and you’ll find yourself consistently moving toward the result you’re after— and very often accomplishing them with a much shorter to-do list than you expected. Want to learn more about Anthony Robbins’ Rapid Planning Method? Get more time for what matters to you with a free session of Time of Your Life. A result is the target you are after, the specific measurable result or outcome that you want to achieve (not the activity to get it done, but the actual result you are after). QUESTIONS TO ASK: 1) What do I really want? 2) What is my outcome? 3) What is the specific result I’m committed to achieve?
If you thought getting through this week was rough. You need to Meet Richie Parker His mom and dad didn't focus on his disability. They saw their child who was full of potential. They helped him reach it by parenting him in the best way possible — the way we should all parent. I adore what his mom says about making it work at 3:36. He took that support and encouragement and used it to face life with strength and positivity. And while his parents set the foundation, he created an aweinspiring life where the sky's the limit. Listen carefully to what he says at 6:31. This is what fulfilling your potential looks like to me.

How to know if you are loved and not lusted It is difficult to be able to identify a person's true feelings. Sometimes they can be hidden very well and sometimes they are easy to spot. There are a few tests which can be done, so decisions can be made based on reaction comparisons. Step 1
Determine what makes the person feel happy. The idea behind love really is to be happy when others are. If you notice that this person is happy for your success, well-being, and joy, they are more likely to love you.
Step 2
Stay away from this person for a while, purposefully. This means no phone conversations, no instant messaging, and disrupt any communication methods that you both use. If you come across them again in a few weeks or perhaps even a month, take note of their excitement. You can tell whether they really missed you or not at all.
Step 3
Change your looks. Put a bit of style, something that makes you look different, not strange nor less attractive but enough to make people notice. If this person does not notice such a change until you tell them, or doesn't say anything about it but still speaks to you just like nothing has happened there is a very high probability of love.
Step 4
If you have just gone into a relationship try taking your time beforehand the next time. Make that person earn your trust, make them really love you for who you are; if there is a lot of rushing, chances are higher for lust.

HOW
TO’S
How to Get a Hot Body Do you want a nice, toned body? Are you getting ready to strut your stuff at a pool or at the beach? With a little work, exercise, and discipline, a hot body can be all yours.
1. Eat plenty of healthy foods. Avoid junk food like chips, cakes, pizzas, and ice cream. Your body will thank you. Eat foods high in protein and fibre, and remember to opt for smaller portions. Shoot for 3-4 small meals per day. • Fruits and, more importantly, vegetables will keep you from gaining the same gut you are losing in those crunches. Go for vegetables that have lots of colour in them: beets, carrots, kale, tomatoes, and broccoli. Combine them in a salad or eat them with hummus if you don't have a taste for them. • Don't starve yourself. Starving yourself will actually hurt your chances of losing weight, because your metabolism slows when it doesn't get food. (It's preparing to save more energy.) So eat regular, small portions if you want to lose that extra weight. 2. Drink water instead of juice or soda, even if it's diet. Although diet soda offers a "zero" calorie alternative to regular soda, it still interferes with weight loss. If you're serious about getting that body looking in tip-top shape, don't drink anything but water. Substituting water for every other drink will drastically lower your caloric intake. • The recommended daily intake for women is actually about 2.2 litres, or nine cups. We know that's a lot, and we know how hard it is to lay off those soy lattes in the morning or those juices in the day. But start off slow, and work your way up. Rome wasn't conquered in a day. • Cut alcohol out of your diet. This can be a tough one, especially if you're used to drinking that glass of red wine after you come home from work. (We have nothing against red wine, we swear!) Alcohol has lots of calories in it, especially those cosmos. So, even though a glass of wine is healthy for you for other reasons, it's not the greatest way to slim down. • The recommended daily intake for women is actually about 2.2 litres, or nine cups. We know that's a lot, and we know how hard it is to lay off those soy lattes in the
morning or those juices in the day. But start off slow, and work your way up. Rome wasn't conquered in a day. 3. Get more sleep. Sleep is the third part of the puzzle for many looking to lose weight. Many women (and men) go obsessively to the gym, eat like vegetarian monks, and still don't see a reduction in their waist size. Getting a good night's sleep is an important part of shedding those extra pounds. • Sleep deprivation hurts your ability to lose weight.[ This because your body produces the glucose and insulin levels of some diabetics when you don't sleep! So depriving yourself of sleep is a no-no for healthy weight loss. • Less sleep kills your motivation to work out and eat well. We've all been there: It's the end of a stressful day at work, we're tired, and we have no energy to do the things we told ourselves we'd do at the beginning of the day. Getting a good night's rest helps keep you energized and motivated, so that when it comes time to hop on the treadmill, you're perky as can be! 4. Do your cardio. Cardio is great way to burn calories and get your body in shape. The goal is to get your heart rate going at a healthy clip so that it burns extra energy. • Start off running for half an hour a day for two weeks, or ride your bicycle at an intensive level. If you think you can handle it, jump into an hour day for better and faster results. If you run out of breath, it is ok to stop and rest for about a minute, but don't stop long enough for your heart rate to slow down. • When you are ready to stop, take a cool-down walk. Walk at a fast pace first then slow down gradually. Don't forget to stretch before and after your workouts. 5. Start walking. If you don't do anything else, get yourself to walk at least 15 minutes a day. Walking is a great way to
exercise, and studies show that even 15 minutes can increase your lifespan by three years. So you'll live longer and look better to boot! •Take the stairs instead of the elevator when possible. Walking up stairs is a great way to work your leg and glute muscles. Get a pedometer. A pedometer measures how many steps you take over the course of the day. People who wear pedometers tend to walk more than people who don't. • Find excuses to be outside! The more you're outside, the harder it is not to walk. Especially when it's nice out, eat lunch outside, take a walk after dinner, or walk your dog regularly in the morning. 6. Get a workout routine. Working your body — with weights or without — targets extra flab where you don't want it: your lower arms, your thighs, your rump, your belly. A workout routine is an important part of getting that body ready for its debut!

Out of fresh business ideas? try this BY VICTOR HWANG
It happens to all of us: One minute we have so many fresh ideas that we can't wait to share them with the world. The next minute, the well is dry, and we're wondering if we'll ever have another original thought. I've been there, and I'm sure you have, too. A "thought desert" can be frightening and sometimes
even paralyzing, especially for entrepreneurs and business owners, since new ideas are the lifeblood of innovation. How can you shorten those times when creativity seems to have fled? The key is unlocking what I call your "Rainforest" -- an ecosystem of innovation where new concepts can grow and businesses can thrive. Here are seven steps that I follow to unleash ideas. I recommend you try them, too.
1. Get your own self together. I've found there are fewer tasks more frustrating that being on a team where the leader is insecure and lowers everyone else's performance. While occasional fear is natural, transmitting your worst insecurities to your team makes others stop talking to you or trusting you. It freezes innovation. What can you do? Take leadership training. Meditate. Ask friends how you can do better. Allow yourself a healthy cry. I've found that being authentic about myself always wins in the end. 2. Bring influential people together. When I see a new building rise above the skyline, I imagine the process its architects went through while designing it. They weren't just thinking about what happens inside the building. They were also focused on how inhabitants move in and out of the space effectively, with an overriding goal of making it easier for people to connect. That's your job when building your team. You need to foster a similar connectivity in virtual space, because influencers who are the most diverse -whether in talent or viewpoint -- have the most to gain from each other. 3. Focus on process, because process equals substance. Designers like to say that context equals content. It's just another way of saying that the way you set the table matters. As a leader, your goal is to instill creative confidence by making your team comfortable enough to stretch outside their comfort zone. Do this by actively listening to them, and using the old improvisation trick of saying "yes and" to ideas rather than a quick "no." Operate from the standpoint that there are no bad ideas, just early incarnations of good ones. 4. Make it fun. Innovation isn't a rational endeavor. It takes a lot of effort, risk and failure. Without joy in the process,
why bother? Remember the journey is more important than the destination, so make the process fun. Shared joy builds bonds and fuels the creative process. 5. Write down your social contract. Sign it. Most teams operate with an unwritten social code. Be different. Get the members of your team to develop a social contract and then have everyone sign it. Rituals unite people and help them remember their promises. Your own social contract will be different from mine, but here are some ideas for a code that you might emulate:
Break rules and dream. Open doors and listen. Trust and be trusted. Pay it forward. 6. Give people toys to play with. Toys make work livelier. My team created a toy called the Rainforest Canvas to help people visualize their ecosystems. We've conducted workshops with this canvas all over the world, and they have been eye-opening. Each block on the canvas represents a critical piece of your ecosystem, such as leaders, stakeholders and resources. Team members fill each section with questions (i.e. Who are the stakeholders? What resources are available?). If convened the right way, the results can be powerful. People see their own ecosystems in visible form for the first time. 7. Bridge social divides. Social barriers, whether caused by geography, networks, language or distrust, stifle valuable relationships before they can begin. Overcoming those barriers is key. Ask yourself, who on your team isn't collaborating with whom, what's blocking the collaborations and how would you encourage those conversations? Perhaps modifying incentives can foster greater communication. Review the social contract your team created, and align people's incentives with their shared communal goals.

Shift your mindset, save your business BY JANE PORTER
Juli Oliver got into the business of professional organizing because it matched her high-energy personality. Since she launched her company, OrganizeNY, in 2005, she's had a steady stream of long-term clients. But by the end of 2009, in the depths of the recession, business was dropping fast and so was her morale. By January 2010, business had slowed 80% from the previous year. "I never slow down or stop," says Oliver, 34. "Not having anything to keep me going was a very strange feeling. It was awful. [But] I knew I couldn't sit inside my home every day and mope around." For Oliver, finding ways to socialize with other small-business owners was invaluable in changing her attitude, which helped her make a business comeback. Today, her revenues are back to pre-recession levels.
Here are five steps to get in the right mindset for a business turnaround.
Step 1: Be social, even if you don't feel like it.
Shutting yourself away from everyone is a common mistake too many business owners make when times are tough, says Debra Condren, a New York-based business psychologist and author of Ambition is Not a Dirty Word (Broadway, 2008). "Sometimes you can be your own worst underminer," Condren says. "You start feeling like a fraud." When Oliver's business slowed down, she started going to more networking events for women and small business owners, while raising awareness of her business through social networks and daily-deals sites. "[Business] started to pick up because I kept fighting the recession and I kept promoting myself and getting my name out there," she says. If you don't have one already, create an advisory board you can consult about business challenges, says Condren. "Talk to people who have been there and done it and fallen through the same hole," says Mark Parkinson, a Somerset U.K.-based business psychologist and author of Using Psychology in Business (Gower, 1999).
Step 2: Avoid naysayers and watch what you feed your mind.
It's easy to start and end your day watching the news, but beware of the negative messages you're getting from headlines, says Condren. She suggests limiting your news intake to once a day. "You want to stay current and skim the headlines, but stay away from the rest of it," she says. Read something inspiring instead, ideally just before bed and right when you wake up. "The last thing you put into your mind before you go to sleep is what you are going to focus on," says Condren. She recommends books like the 1937 classic Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The War of Art by Steven Pressfield (Warner Books, 2003) and The Luck Factor by Richard Wiseman (Miramax, 2004).
Step 3: Get up and move.
Exercise is one of the first things people skip when under pressure. But when we are feeling stressed our body produces noradrenaline, a stress hormone that can affect our attention and quality of thinking. Exercise spurs endorphins to counter the buildup of stress hormones in the body. "Literally, your brain does work better if you exercise. The quality of your thinking is improved," says Parkinson. Even if you can't make it to the gym, you can still find small ways to incorporate exercise into your day. Condren suggests taking a few flights of stairs instead of the elevator or simply walking around the block to get your blood pumping and help clear your mind.
Step 4: Keep learning and stay on top of industry trends.
While solving day-to-day problems can be all-consuming, taking the time to learn about new aspects of business is an important way to stay focused on solutions -- not just your problems. Condren suggests starting simple, like reading an article related to an area of business that's been giving you trouble, taking a half-day workshop or attending an industry conference. If you don't have the time or money to spend at a conference, consider online educational videos. Not only can they get you thinking about your business in new ways, they can help you stay current in your industry. "Instead of watching the news while you're cooking your dinner that evening, listen to a home-study course," Condren says. "You have to stay current, or you will feel left behind."
Step 5: Be your own cheerleader.
Studies have shown we remember uncompleted tasks better than we remember what we've accomplished. But even if you're faced with a never-ending to-do list, Condren says it's important to remember everything you've already accomplished. For example, if a client sends over a complimentary note or you close a major deal, print out the email or document and put it in a file you can turn to when you're feeling discouraged. Also, update your resume, even if no one else sees it, as a reminder of your achievements. It's tapping back into your passion for the business that will ultimately help turn it around, says Parkinson. "You've got to remember all that positive stuff that got you fired up in the first place," he says. "It's like falling in love. You've got to remember what it's like and then you might want to do it again."

From the heart of the Caribbean comes a tale of two young martial artists who rediscover the roots of an ancient martial art tradition born in the bowels of Africa and alive and well in Trinidad and Tobago. Similar to more well-known traditions like Brazilian Capoeira, 'Kalinda' is a half dance and half deadly game with long sticks, which was brought to the Caribbean slave plantations from the Congo and Angola. The Kalinda is accompanied by fiery drumming and chants from the 'chantuelle' (chant-well) who drives the combatants onward in the community arenas called "gayelles" (gah-yells). In No Bois Man No Fraid, follow Keegan and Benji as they journey through the history of the Kalinda martial art form of Trinidad and Tobago. Learn with them as they sit at the feet of the warrior elders of the Moruga community - the home of a specific faction of stickfighters, decendants from the 'Merikins' Tribe, with a long and rich tradition. Be enlightened by the history of the craft, the ancestry, the meaning of the drums and the "lavways" sung by the Chantuelle singers.
In this feature-length movie, see live footage from some of the best fights as well as the progress of Keegan and Benji being accepted by the elders, taught and told stories of stick fighting legends. After rigorous training in the art form, they prepare to 'dance de dance' and face the ring of the gayelle themselves and prove their skill as stick fighters of the Kalinda tradition. This film will have its world premiere on Wednesday 4th September 2013 at the 8th annual Toronto CaribbeanTales Film Festival and in the Caribbean at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival on a date to be announced. I don’t think people actually like sport
by Vanderburgh Johnson Photos Stephen Telfer
Bars overflow, offices stop, the road is clear when International Football is on. Traffic gridlock is common when there is cricket in the oval. These events are complimented by a comfortable environment, food and drink. The Ministry of Sport hosted the 20th National Sport Festival on 3rd August 2013 at Eastern Regional Sports Complex and Eddie Hart Grounds. Although, these venues are not associated with a good lime, it should be attractive as it featured many if not all possible sporting disciplines. It was definitely promoted more than International Football and cricket combined. There was even transport provided to and from the event yet there was no discernible buzz. Therefore, sport participation is not only about the actual activities but the social opportunities. Sport is a social catalyst. We all have a sport we prefer to
watch and play. During the game or the event you are thinking of the lime or conversation after. We bet, we socialise and we chastise. So the game is the life of the party. We celebrate with drink, prepare specific food and even wear special clothes as though these rituals are obviously athletic. However, the reason behind the support must be considered to ensure the success of these events and to stimulate the growth of the sport industry.
In April 2013, Special Olympics hosted 31st National Games. The press release stated it was the culmination of the athlete’s yearlong training. There was a torch run with the support the mayor of Arima and Tunapuna Regional Council.
It was at the Haysley Crawford Stadium, adjacent to liming hot spots on the Avenue and Movie Towne and the event was promoted. The turnout was poor. On July 6, Trinidad & Tobago’s Special Olympics team of 70 athletes and officials returned with15 Gold, 15 Silver, 8 Bronze, 8 (4th) Place Ribbons, 11 (5th) Place Ribbons, 6 (6th) Place Ribbons, 3 (8th) Place Ribbons. It was a record-breaking
achievement .The 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece was the world’s largest sporting event for athletes with intellectual disabilities, drawing 7,000 athletes from more than 180 countries around the world, 3,000 coaches and officials, 25,000 volunteers, 40,000 family members as well as thousands of spectators (www. athens2011.org). Among the disciplines our team participated in: aquatics, athletics, basketball, bocce, equestrian, football, powerlifting and volleyball. In the 2012 Olympics we sent thirty athletes. They returned with 1 Gold and 3 Bronze medals. There was great celebration and a holiday. The Olympics is an established brand. It is fashionable, relatable and easy to start a lime around. While Special Olympics is still taboo and makes people awkward. Typical sport talk would suddenly be in appropriate, and people would feel uncomfortable. Quite frankly it is more inappropriate to ignore these athletes. I am doing my part by writing this article; do yours by supporting, rallying and donating. Trust me Special Olympics is a bess lime you guaranteed to see things never seen before. And there is always an after party with something to celebrate. Let us do better for Special Olympics and let us do better for Sport.

Thank you Trinidad & Tobago for your 16 years of incredible support. Independence Day Lagniappe for South “Mary Could Dance” written by Richard Ragoobarsingh is the most popular, loved and awarded play in the history of theatre in Trinidad and Tobago. The play has actually ran for 16 years and has been showcased in Grenada, St. Vincent, Barbados, St. Lucia and Ireland where it has been received consistently with standing ovations. Right now in Trinidad and Tobago the man of the moment is Moses. He is burning up the airwaves and has all ladies touching their ankles in parties and clubs nationwide. The beatbox specialist is “chika, chika, chika” – changing the dance wherever he goes and taking samples of the action to inspire new hits on the horizon. Team OMG met up with this talented young man at Bohemia on Murray Street in Woodbrook where he gave us a sample of what life has been like for him thus far. Moses, whose real name is Devon David Moses, is one Trinidad’s finest young entertainers. He was a member of the Millionaire Family from 2010 up until recently, but was determined to get to the stage to do his own music.
The first steps in his solo music career have been incredibly encouraging. He admits that music has been his passion from childhood and believes that music is his destiny. He got his name – “Fadda Moses” – from his friends as he was the tallest in his group. They started referring to him as “Fadda”. Eventually, when he entered the music arena he stuck to the nickname and now he calls himself just Moses. He has delivered some hardhitting tracks including “Gyal Flex”, “Must Get a Wine”, “Girls Time” alongside Spine and “So Much Girls”. Before coming with these hard hitting tracks the Chaguanas resident was pursuing his career in electrical installation, beat boxing, creating dub sounds for the car show arena and deejaying. In 2009, his world turned around. He abandoned electrical installation, his music career took off and after two attempts he was finally recruited as a broadcaster for Boom Champions. Fond of Fadda Moses? He’s on every Friday, 9 p.m. to midnight. Even though Moses has only now begun his solo music career

success is already mounting and with his remarkable talent he will not fall short of his goals. These goals include creating a new image for himself and releasing new music. He wants to release new music throughout the year so he will always be connected to his fans and not only share his musical genius at Carnival. As for Moses’ OMG moment, he stated that it was when he almost fell off a bmobile stage during Carnival season 2011’s Soca in D Square series. He said that played out well, and he was able to continue with his performance.

Raskal, is one of the lead vocalists for the Millionaire family. He came into the spotlight in 2009 with his breakout hit, “I promise” in which he captivated the minds and captured hearts of many with his astonishing voice, both locally and regionally. His excellent work was recognised by Universal Music Group under the Bungalow Records Label which aided in the distribution of his song. The song was distributed to 59 countries worldwide in 2010, a massive number in any young artiste’s career. Raskal isn’t just an artiste; he a versatile one. He’s venturing into genres such as reggae, dancehall and soca. His latest project is based on the soca genre, on a rhythm called Soca Ecstasy produced by Millbeats where he has touched with his hands of talent. He is also busy promoting new music – DJ Anarchy presents Rascality – which he describes as a wonderful experience as many people have embraced it. Raskal is a true example of how one can rise to greatness. He wrote his first song when he was only ten years old and since that achievement, it was the natural for him to continue on his journey. He reminisced on the days when he would sing the songs he wrote and his compadres at school would attempt to make a beat by hitting desks or chairs to create the perfect sound. But singing in school

wasn’t an activity to pass time; it became a serious issue as it was his passion to woo an audience with his voice. He credits his friend Ronald Alexander, who encouraged him and took him to a studio where he began to make demos. That is how he came up with his first single on radio. When Raskal isn’t busy at work his spare time is taken up with playing his guitar and trying to compose music or just relax by watching a new music video. He makes it clear that his day is incomplete without him “tasting” music. Raskal tells his fans that for the many who have the image of him being angry at times, it isn’t because he is actually mad at anyone; the reason he gave us was that he likes to keep his guard up for many people involved in this field could easily take advantage of someone who looks too relaxed. He says that beyond that he is a cool guy, and people shouldn’t be afraid to approach him. Raskal’s OMG moment was when he went to a show in New York and a guy there saw him and hailed him out. It was amazing to him as he said he didn’t think that he would have been recognised him. In his view he wasn’t as popular as other artistes and he wasn’t even that big in Trinidad. Raskal could hardly wrap his mind around the thought that he has fans overseas.

How to battle foot odour No one wants to be around you because your feet stink. You might be sad or mad. Don't be discouraged, this guide can help.
Step 1
Truly identify if your feet stink. Sometimes it can just be 2 days a year when your feet stink. That's no problem. Ask your neighbours, friends or teachers if they think your feet smell bad.
Step 2
Wash your feet every night in a bowl filled with soap or a bathtub. Clean feet are never smelly.
Step 3
Invest in some good shoes. The materials used in cheaper shoes cause your feet to sweat and then smell.
Step 4
It may be your shoes that are
rubbing stink on to your feet. If you think it may be your shoes, not your feet, then take some odour remover or light perfume and lightly spray your shoe and/ or socks.
Step 5
If you normally wear sneakers or boots when you don't have to, wear flip-flops (girls) or sandals (guys). This will air out your feet and not make them sweat.
Step 6
If you're still worrying about your feet stinking when your shoes are in your closet, leave the fan on. This will literally blow the stink away. Good luck!

The Light: Swami Vivekananda trailer:
Will the biopic do justice to the spiritual guru’s life? by Shweta Parande
The film seems like a low-budget biopic of the Hindu monk and thinker There have not been many films on the great Swami Vivekananda, a Hindu monk and thinker from West Bengal who placed India’s spirituality on the global forum. There was one film way back in 1955 and then Swami Vivekananda in 1994, a film where Mithun Chakraborty delivered a National Award-winning performance in the role of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa – the Swami’s guru. Premankur Chattopadhyay, the actor playing Shri Paramahamsa in the latest film The Light: Swami Vivekananda, is likely to be compared to Mithun da. Good luck to him! Releasing on August 23, the new film is a bilingual in Hindi and Bengali directed by Utpal Sinha. It stars actor Deep Bhattacharya in the title role who looks convincing in the role. But the film’s trailer seems tacky, with a feeling that many of the important scenes have been shot on a Chroma key background. With low production values, its spiritual content is the only thing that will save it at the box office. We hope the film does justice to the Swami’s life. There was a special screening of The Light: Swami Vivekananda for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and he has endorsed the film. Check out the video and tell us if you like the trailer!

'Go Topless Day' is august 25 unless you're a man The Huffington Post | By David Moye
If you're feeling like a boob these days, Sunday might be a day for celebration. August 25 has been declared Go Topless Day, a 24-hour period where ladies are encouraged to show their breasts as a protest against hypocritical laws that allow guys to walk around shirtless while women must remain clothed. Men who support the group's mission are asked to cover their own man-boobs with pasties or bras. This year marks the sixth anniversary of Go Topless Day, which is organized by a group of UFO believers called the Raelians. Members believe that humans were created by advanced scientists known as the "Elohim," and that not allowing women to go topless is an insult to the aliens' artistry. Go Topless Day Organizer Nadine Gary, a Raelian priestess, told The Huffington Post that it's not a problem getting men to participate. "The men love to support us," she told The Huffington Post.
Forty cities, including Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Detroit, Denver, Chicago, New York and Washington D.C., will be holding demonstrations, up from 30 last year. The holiday was launched in 2007, when activist Phoenix Feeley won a lawsuit against New York City after she was "wrongfully arrested" for going bare-chested, Gary told HuffPost. Female toplessness is legal in New York City, and so the city ultimately awarded Feeley $29,000 in damages for their mistake. The fight for freedom still has a long way to go, though. Feeley was recently jailed she refused to pay an $816 fine for going topless on a New Jersey beach, CBS New York reported. Male toplessness for men has been legal in New Jersey since 1936, Gary said -- but not for women. "Why this repression?" she asks. "Are breasts dangerous? No! Breasts for something for feeding, for nurturing." Go Topless Day is held on the last Sunday in August as a tribute to August 26, 1920, the day women finally had the right to vote. "I don't understand these repressive laws," Gary said. "Is it because of this myth of original sin? Because women have somehow tempted men?" If you're tempted to see previous Go Topless Day
Former Disney Star Lee Thompson Young
Former Disney Star Lee Thompson Young dead. The 29-year-old 'Famous Jett Jackson' actor was found with a gunshot wound, according to TMZ. By Amy Wilkinson
Lee Thompson Young, who starred in the Disney Channel series "The Famous Jett Jackson," was found dead in his L.A. home on Monday, according to TMZ. He was 29 years old. The actor was currently starring in the TNT series "Rizzoli & Isles," and when he didn't show up for work, staffers called his landlord to check on him. The landlord reportedly found Young dead, with a gunshot wound believed to be self-inflicted. No official cause of death has been released. Young made his acting debut in 1998 with the Disney Channel series "The Famous Jett Jackson," about a high-profile teen action star, who just wants to live a normal life in his North Carolina hometown. The series ran for three seasons (including a TV movie), and memorably featured Beyoncé in one of her first acting roles with her girl group Destiny's Child. Britney Spears and Eartha Kitt also made cameo appearances. Young went on to act in a number of TV series, including "Scrubs," "FlashForward," "Smallville," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and his current series, "Rizzoli & Isles," in which he played Detective Barry Frost alongside Angie Harmon's Jane Rizzoli. He also had a handful of film credits on his resumé, most notably starring as Chris Comer in the 2004 film "Friday Night Lights," based on the novel by Buzz Bissinger. Young was born on February 1, 1984 in Columbia, South Carolina, and attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts, graduating with honors.

NSYNC Reunion may be planned for MTV's 2013 Video Music Awards The Huffington Post | By Madeline Boardman
After saying "Bye, Bye, Bye" in the early '00s, the boys of *NSYNC may finally be reuniting. Page Six is reporting that Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake will perform together for the first time in years at this Sunday's Video Music Awards on MTV. It was announced last week thatTimberlake will perform at the upcoming awards show. He's also set to receive a major honor: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. Reports on the reunion speculate that the boy band will reunite to celebrate Timberlake's award. After releasing their last album, "Celebrity," in 2001, and going on a subsequent tour to promote the album,
appearances by all five members of *NSYNC have been rare. "I don't think we're doing anything," Bass said in an interview earlier this year. "I don't think [a reunion] would happen. Everyone is doing their own thing. Justin's doing his thing. I don't think he would have a moment off to do an *NSYNC album. He's the busy one." Timberlake is set to have a big night at the VMAs, regardless of whether he is joined by his former *NSYNC bandmates. The 32-year-old singer is tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most nominations at six nods. He is up for awards including Video of the Year, Best Male Video, and Best Pop Video. Other artists confirmed to perform at the awards show include Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Requests for comment from MTV were not immediately returned.
Miss Universe staying put in moscow The Miss Universe Organization believes the show must go on in Moscow ... and it doesn't matter that the Russian government is gay-hostile.
A rep from the MUO tells us the new, anti-gay law violates the core values of the organization ... nevertheless, they want to stay put in Moscow. They say they're hoping to change Russian
minds. Good luck with that.
Here's the rub. If some of the women competing are lesbians, they better keep it to themselves, because they could end up in the pokey if they play their hand publicly. The decision to stay in Moscow isn't sitting well with everyone. A petition on Change.org is trying to pressure the MUO to move out of Moscow.
