I don’t want to be a wrinkly old man
What people don’t know about me is I’m vain as hell. Especially because I am a guy it’s a side of me I prefer to hide. I know I’m good looking but I pretend I don’t know, because who goes around talking about how hot they are? I’m nowhere near elderly yet, barely even an adult, yet I have this growing phobia of getting old. I notice old people and pity them because regardless of how beautiful, youthful and healthy they once might’ve been, they’ve lost it all. Now they’re just a wrinkly, balding, lonely, grumpy, diseased mess, often in a nursing home.
Could be
I still love him I still love my ex-boyfriend, even after how much he hurt me, even after everything. I still love him and I want him to come to me and say “Baby, please take me back, I was wrong. I miss you and I promise I’ll be better this time. I love you”. Then I would just fall into his arms and cry. I miss him and I still love him sooo much.
Cancer
I am 17. I went to the doctor last week, and I have dysplastic cells on the back of my head. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it basically means that I have skipped the stage that moles could be potentially cancerous... If left unchecked, I WILL have cancer. I’m a little scared, because I will possibly have to have surgery. They do not know if this means I will develop cancer later in life, so they’ll have to keep an eye on it for the rest of my life.
The thing I do at
grocery stores
I have been doing this for years. When I go to the grocery store I smash a couple candy bars so the next person that buys them is disappointed.
Not sure why I feel this way.. Right now, it’s the first time since I met you a year and a half ago that I’m happy you’re asleep... not talking to me… not looking at me… not touching me... Just leaving me alone... and I’m scared that I feel this way…
Sometimes I wish
I’m dying for
my girlfriend
I’m a 17-year-old girl and I really hate to admit this to myself and to other people, but it’s true and I have just realised it. I’m desperate, longing, dying for a strong father/brother figure in my life who loves me unconditionally and would protect me both emotionally and physically. But it seems to me that this is too much to ask of a man. I have a father and he provides absolutely everything for me, from pocket money, to private school education, strong family support, nice vacations, etc. But he doesn’t support me emotionally at all. In fact, he leaves it all up to my stepmom.
My girlfriend and I have been dating for a little while now (I have to be a bit vague) and she has certain bad habits that make me upset and depressed. We’ve discussed these habits and she says she’ll change them and I said I would help and support her and told her how important it was to me that these bad habits stop. But now they haven’t stopped despite several talks about it where she made me feel guilty about it. I don’t want to break up with her, partially because I love her, partially because I’m a coward. So I just wish and fantasise that she’ll cheat on me (I understand it doesn’t make sense) but I feel like I have pent up anger towards her about it and her cheating on me will allow me to guiltlessly release it and be able to leave her if these bad habits don’t stop.

Dividing Possessions
After a Breakup STEP 1 - Be fair, and THE share music
Be fair. Agree to make duplicate copies of CDs to avoid debates. Divide furniture, utensils, and dishes equitably or by deciding who needs each item more when they move.
STEP 2 - Make identical lists
Make two identical lists of property to be split. Don’t include pets, children, automobiles, or anything that requires a saw cut or a court.
Tip – Sometimes a separation agreement, with details regarding property, money, and child care spelled out, can make things easier. STEP 3 - Use point system
Assign points to items each of you wants. The total points accumulated on each list cannot exceed 100.
STEP 4 - Divide things
Compare your lists. Allow the person with the most points assigned to an item to claim it.
STEP 5 - Break tie scores
Total the points of items won. The person with the fewest points is awarded tie-score items to even things out or until everything is gone.
Tip – Being greedy is likely to prolong the parting and mire you in the very relationship misery you’re trying to escape. STEP 6 - Sell the rest and divide money
Liquidate the remaining property either by forfeiting a claim or by selling it and splitting the proceeds.
Putting the Sizzle Back into Your
Sex Life with Seven Easy Tips Has the thrill gone from your sex life? Put some sizzle back in the sack with these seven easy tips.
STEP 1 - Have a signature scent
Select a scent to wear only when you have sex. You’ll soon be able to get your lover excited just by dabbing on your signature cologne or perfume.
STEP 2 - Get everyone out
Rid the bedroom of any photos that feature anyone but the two of you. Pictures of children, parents, and pets are subconscious mood killers.
STEP 3 - Make a soundtrack
Make a soundtrack for sex, using whatever tunes turn you both on; the right music can help inject some sexy sizzle.
Tip – Including a mix of beats, from slow and steady to fast and pounding, can encourage variety in the tempo of your sex play, too.
STEP 4 - Do it in the afternoon
Arrange some afternoon hook-ups. Changing up the time of day you have sex – and choosing a time when you have a lot of energy – can make things hotter.
STEP 5 - Change positions
Change positions -- and not just sexual ones. Doing it with your heads at the foot of the bed or sideways across the bed, will add spice.
STEP 6 - Watch it
Angle a mirror near the bed – or wherever you’re getting it on. Catching glimpses of yourselves in the act can add more sizzle to your sex life than any X-rated movie.
STEP 7 - Go on vacation
Go away together – even if it’s just for the weekend. Research shows that couples on vacation not only have more sex, but better sex. And you’ll take that holiday-sex glow home with you.

HOW
TO’S
How to Avoid Getting
Called On in Class If you find yourself unprepared for class, take these steps to keep the attention away from you.
STEP 1 Sit in the back
Sit in the back of the classroom, preferably behind someone who consistently engages in classroom discussions.
STEP 2 Look confident
Sit tall and look as if you are thinking about the question while wearing a confused look on your face.
Tip – Avoid looking down, which could attract the teacher’s attention and increase your chances of
being called on. STEP 3 Be alert
Be alert and pay attention. Do not stare out the window, pick at your nails, or doodle.
STEP 4 Look through your notes
Examine your notes as if you’re trying to search for a forgotten answer.
STEP 5 Raise your hand
Raise your hand, and when called on, ask the teacher if you can be excused to use the lavatory.
How to Deal with Difficult People
Remember these tips next time you’re faced with a frustrating person you just don’t know what to do with.
STEP 1 - Know the types
Know the types of difficult people, and determine which type you’re dealing with. Common ways to be difficult include passiveaggressiveness, open aggressiveness, constant complaining, and destructive criticism.
STEP 2 - Realize whose problem it is
Understand whether this is even your problem. Difficult people are usually being that way because the’re unhappy about something else.
Tip – Do not take the person’s behaviour personally. STEP 3 - State your feelings
State your feelings, clearly and directly, and don’t be afraid that the difficult person will think you’re angry. Anger isn’t always bad. It can be a signal that something is wrong. At the very least, you will alert the difficult person to your feelings.
STEP 4 - Avoid the difficult person
If they continue being difficult, limit the person’s access to you. Walk away from the situation. Do not waste your energy trying to win a fight.
STEP 5 - Listen
After you’ve taken a break, if they still want to talk and are willing to have a civilised
discussion, listen carefully to the other person. Wait until they are finished talking, and then express your own feelings.
Tip – Try to empathise with the difficult people in your life which can help you maintain a sense of control over the situation. STEP 6 - Learn from mistakes
Stop talking about the situation once it is over. Learn from the situation so you can prevent it from happening again.

Michael Williams, better known as JaMelody, was born in Carenage and is the last of six children. At a very young age his parents and siblings realised he was a gifted vocalist and musician. Since the entire family was very religious his first exposure to performing was with his church choir. When he was a teenager he began to apply his vocal skills to making reggae compositions with sweet melodies and hooks characteristic of R&B which is where his singing is rooted and where he infused it with rich cultural and spiritual content. Out of that style his name – “JaMelody” – was born. He will be heading off to Jamaica on April 1 to perform at the Kite Festival and will be the lone Trinidadian among many of Jamaica’s great artistes. The OMG team met up with JaMelody recently and sat down for a chat. The young entertainer was reserved but brimming with love, appreciation and excitement for his music and where it is taking him. Tell me about JaMelody and where you are in your career? Well right now JaMelody is a new and upcoming artiste in the reggae world. Even though I have been around for over 10 years, I’m new to the world. I believe 2013 is when I am going to get my break. Basically we working on my new album. I had an album before which was called “Be Prepared”, produced by VP Records and I am also signed to that label which is based in New York. They came from Jamaica. VP is recognised as the biggest reggae record label in the world. VP Records has been named Billboard’s “Best Independent Label” for two consecutive years and has received the award for “Best Reggae Imprint Label” for three consecutive years. VP was also nominated for Best Independent Reggae Label at the 2003 Billboard Hip-Hop and R&B awards, and represents artistes such as Sean Paul,
Be Prepared
I love You I Wanna Be There ONE LOVE JAMELODY FEAT RUBEN
Beenie Man, Busy Signal, Beres Hammond, Elephant Man, Shaggy, Jah Cure, Mavado and Capelton, just to name a few. So right now we just working on more and more music, getting ready for tours and shows around the world. So you are really lucky to be among the world’s biggest names? It’s JaMelody, The Chosen One. I always say “The Chosen One” after my name because I know there are a lot of reggae artistes who are working hard to have the opportunities I have right now. I come from Trinidad singing reggae. There are many talented artistes in Jamaica who couldn’t get this opportunity. I went to Jamaica with my first management team. We said it was reggae music I doing, so let’s go to the real people who produce that music and hope they give we a hearing. There we bounced up Bobby Digital (Bobby “Bobby Digital” Dixon, an influential Jamaican reggae and dancehall producer. He is considered a legend in the business, and has created hits for Shabba Ranks and Sizzla). He heard me and was willing to work with us. He did not hold back because I came from Trinidad. It was like God’s work that we met this legend. I went into the studio, they embraced me and everything just started happening from there. Tell me about you before this break in Jamaica? Well, back in the school days at Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive, I had this friend in class who said, “Yow, ah have this group, yuh should come and vibes with us”. So I went to the rehearsal and everyone could sing but it was on one note, so I jump in with my harmony note and it blended in real nice with the rest of them. They said, “this man could sing” and the whole thing kicked off from that day. The group became “Brothers With Voices”. We started to get one or two gigs. It wasn’t money-making but we got a lot of exposure and that helped me to get over my stage fright. Then I did more Karaoke performances, Scouting for Talent, Party Flava and worked on my stage performance.
So how did R&B move to reggae music? Well, after all that experience on stage, I wanted to find my own voice and I chose reggae music because it sang about life and love and I like the whole vibes of it. In terms of writing, my wife and I would sit down together. We discuss a lot of topics about life. She would take a pen and paper and put the words together. I take the melody and start singing and we just come together and make some great music.

OMG Magazine | Thursday 7 March, 2013 • PAGE 13 Was it always your passion to be on stage? To me it was never my idea or in my heart to become an artiste or singer. It was like a gift I had in me but I never really pursued the idea daily that I had to be a singer. But the way this whole career unfolded for me it felt like I was chosen for this. This is like my calling, what I must do. That is why I say I am the “The Chosen One”, because of where I come from, things like this don’t happen so. I wanted to be a draftsman, doing technical drawings but things just unfolded in a way and brought me here today. What was the first song you released that made an impact? Well, my first release was done by Jet Star Records from Jamaica, a very famous label – “World Takes These Words”. Then “Be Prepared” which was the song that took the international market and JaMelody was recognised from then. What’s next for JaMelody? The future now start, because in 2013 is when I really put down my foot and say I got to sing, sing until I cyah sing no more. So the future is more music for the people, more good vibes and love from my music to the world. What inspires you? I love being home with my three kids just hanging out, listening to all different types of music on Youtube with them. I am inspired a lot by R&B music. Boys II Men inspires me a lot to do some of the love songs I do today. I will reflect on back in the day when I use to be in “Brothers With Voices”. Reggae is also an inspiration to me, soul music, even soca music gives inspiration to me. It’s more like life on the whole inspires me. Your best time is spent doing… Being around my kids, my wife, my family, being home. On the computer making up my rhythms. I produce a little, not professionally, but I can do a little thing on the computer. That relaxes me a lot, being around music, making music, just music. What is something you don’t like? Suffering and pain. I doh like to see a child in pain, it makes me cry. I am a real emotional fella. I feel things deeply. If I looking at a movie and it’s sad, tears start running down from my eyes. I doh like to be disappointed, especially if I disappoint myself. That will be a challenge. I doh like bad mind and old talk when people hating. I feel deep. I am very emotional and I take things real serious.
Tell me something that people may not know about you? People may not know that I am a little shy. I like to cook. I’m a good cook too. I could cook anything man, pelau, macaroni pie, anything, once ah put meh mind to it. How do you get over that shyness to be on stage in front of so many people? I think the shyness or fear comes from when you put your heart and soul into something and put it out there for people to judge and decide, if they will love it or not, how they will receive it. Right before I hit the stage, I will come to myself, me and my Father, the Most High, the Almighty God and I talk to him and I say, “Jah, this what I’m going to do here is not for no fortune or fame, this is a mission, this is your work and the only how I could do it without being afraid and make this great is that you have to be there with me and manifest.” So I believe when I do that it brings a different spirit to me, I am a different person, I doh be frightened anymore. I make them feel me and it is a very spiritual experience. These days the love I receive for my music has reduced that fear I used to have. How do you feel about being a Trinidadian and a reggae artiste? That is one of the reasons why I keep saying, I am The Chosen One. I didn’t choose reggae music yuh know, reggae music chose me, in the sense that it’s a spiritual something. I believe being The Chosen One, you have to have something inside. I believe that God chose me to be one of the musical instruments from Zion, to go and let the people and them know how great and wonderful he is and what he has to offer for us which is keep us focused and in contact with love. That is why I am JaMelody, which means “God’s Melody”. So I want everyone to know I am here for them. When they think about love, think about JaMelody. Your OMG moment? I would say being in Holland – Amsterdam – that was one of the greatest experiences I have had so far, being an artiste and performing. I never had the chance to practice with the band. I had ten minutes to get the rhythms with them and I went on stage. It was a music festival and the crowd was massive. It was a half-covered venue and the rest of the crowd in the open air. The people did not know me. They just connected with the music and the response was like if I was a world superstar. That feeling and that love from that crowd was my real OMG moment. It was a joy, a dream come true.

TTEITI YAC
SLOGAN
COMPETITION Presentation College’s ‘Life into Life’
A WEEKEND OF PLAYS This weekend the Secondary Schools Drama Association (SSDA) provides a special treat for theatre lovers – the presentation of three of the outstanding school productions from the 2012 Schools Drama Festival. Festival winners have traditionally been of an extremely high standard, sometimes surpassing the fare offered at the national senior level in the areas of directing, stagecraft, design and surprisingly even acting. The teenaged performers many a time take their craft seriously, to the point where a talent shines out to match that of their senior counterparts. “A Weekend of 3 Plays” will feature three excellent productions nightly that will be worth the time and money of those wanting to spend an entertaining evening at the new NAPA South campus, corner of Todd Street and Rienzi-Kirton Highway, San Fernando. Winners of the three directing awards up for grabs at the festival last November, a testimony to the amazing high level, these productions also copped the major awards in areas such as Acting, Set Design, Costume, Special Effects, and among others. Bishop Anstey / Trinity College East, finalists for the last three years, will offer Lester Efebo Wilkinson’s perennial favourite “Bitter Cassava”, a play which highlights many aspects of life, such as the notions of revenge, love, superstition, and how often children suffer from adult indiscretion. Sam is a young man in a common-law relationship with Justina, with whom he has three children. He meets and falls in love with another woman from the city, Betty-lou. Justina returns to take her sweet revenge
…Sounds familiar? Directed by Shawn Smart, winner of five directing awards at the festival, this is a must-see. Presentation College, who will represent the SSDA at the Caribbean Festival in Barbados later this year, presents a rib-tickling comedy with macabre overtones. “Life into Life” written and directed by Winnifred Asson, provides a laugh-a-minute roller coaster journey into the lives of three men trapped in a cinema where Art imitates Life, and the fantasy of the silver screen become the dreaded reality for the three patrons. Be prepared amidst the fun and laughter for a surprise ending that will leave you spellbound.
Are you a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago between the ages of 14-29 years old? Devise a slogan which reflects the mandate of the TTEITI’s Youth Arm to win yourself a Samsung Galaxy Tablet! Fyzabad Secondary, veterans at the finals with 20 appearances over the years, serves up Zeno Obi Constance’s educational “The Cinderella Syndrome”, easily one of the playwright’s most popular and dynamic scripts. Directed by Kalifa Cross, herself a former multiple award winner at the festival, the now popular theme of domestic violence finds a passionate outlet in Constance’s re-telling of the Cinderella fairy tale. Abused housewife Virginia Dubois, like her fictional counterpart, finds solace in her own fantasies. Condemned and confined to an asylum, she relives and reviews her tragic life story, caught between her twin psyches of fairy tale heroine and suffering housewife. Saturday 9th at 6 pm and Sunday 10th at 5 pm (March) are the times to keep for your appointment at NAPA (South) San Fernando. Tickets at $100 are available at Box Office NAPA and from the participating schools, while reservations can be made by calling SSDA executive officers Naomi Woodsley at Naparima Girls High School (776-3037), Nichole Melhem at Holy Faith Convent, Couva (776-2702) and Shawn Smart at Trinity College East (354-7376). Edone Park 16, Tunapuna
Edone is the youngest of six siblings. He says he’s been playing football since the age of five and that he loves the game very much. He is known for scoring goals and his team, August Town United, was in the Eddie Hart Football finals last year where they lost in a penalty shootout. It still pains him that he missed the goal would have won them the game. Edone says it was one of his most tense and challenging moments, an experience he will never forget. This youngster also plays football for his school, Five Rivers Secondary, and says he is known for scoring goals, being there at the right time and making it happen. He loves being part of the team, he loves the energy of the crowd and the tempo of the game and being in that atmosphere and being part of the celebrations after. He sees himself as being one of the players on the Manchester United team one day. He says most people are encouraging and he is confident that he will go far in the game. All his time is spent either looking at football or playing it. He dislikes the harsh judgments by the referees sometimes and when he misses goal-scoring opportunities. Edone’s OMG moment happened when he was playing a final match in the Maracas Football League last year and executed an incredible scissors-kick to score his best goal yet. He said the crowd went wild. It was very memorable moment and they went on to win the game.

RS/RR Productions has presented highly acclaimed productions such as “Mary Could Dance” “De Biggest Maco”, “I Love you till someone better comes along”, “Men are

RS/ RR Productions have won Best Comedy and Best Production Awards several times and have become the first production team to win Most Outstanding Comedic Production twice in a row. Between them the production houses are now considered the benchmark of quality theatre, from quality of acting to set, lighting, sound and costume design. Ria Ali stars in “Bailout”. Ria started with RS/RR Productions four years ago and has been in many of our presentations. Her last performance with us was the recently presented box office hit “Eat Ah Food” by Ricardo Samuel. RDB says jamming with Snoop Dogg was a great experience! The British Indian Band RDB shares their music plans, the loss of their brother Kuldeep and jamming with rapper Snoop Dogg! The first time you heard and loved their music was in the 2008 runaway hit starring Akshay Kumar – Namastey London. Since, in India at least , RDB’s unique brand of songs which blend western grooves with Punjabi vocals became such a rage that most films in Bollywood based in or around Punjab and its culture featured their tracks. Some of the hits that featured their songs were Speedy Singhs, Tanu Weds Manu and most recently in Yamla Pagla Deewana. In a quick chat with BollywoodLife, the band talks about the recent and shocking demise of their brother the talented musician Kuldeep Ral, the two remaining band members Manjeet Ral and Surjeet Ral talk about coming back to making music for Hindi films and their other plans related to Bollywood. The last time you put together a track for a Bollywood movie was Yamla Pagla Deewana in 2011. Are you doing music for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 as well? We are still in talks, nothing finalised.
I, Me Aur Main quick movie review: A dizzying complicated love story I, Me Aur Main, directed by Kapil Sharma, is a romcom starring John Abraham, Chitrangda Singh and Prachi Desai. It revolves around Ishaan (played by John) – a selfobsessed man who is constantly protected and pampered by his mother and sister. He lives with his girlfriend Anushka (Chitrangda) and takes her for granted too. But his life takes a big turn when he
meets Gauri (Prachi Desai) and falls in love with her. Our reviewer who is currently watching the film texted to give us quick feedback on the film so far. “Kapil Sharma’s I, Me Aur Main is sluggish and inconsistent. John Abraham plays his part sans conviction. Chitrangda Singh shows spark but fails to offer novelty. Prachi Desai is easily the best of the lot. It is not a regular love triangle, but so complicated and scattered is the narrative that it leave us dizzy,” he writes in.
The loss of your band member and brother Kuldeep – how has that affected your music? And was that responsible for the hiatus you took from Bollywood? After our loss with our eldest brother (Kuly) passing, we had an overwhelming amount of condolences and support from our UK Bhangra industry colleagues. We therefore composed this track (We doin’ it big) and shot a music video featuring cameo appearances from some of these top UK Bhangra artist. Though RDB has been on the music scene in India since 2000, it hasn’t seen the popularity of some of the more recent Punjabi rappers. Are you looking to experiment with rap as a genre too? Our music is completely unique. We make our own RDB sound that is a new genre of Bollywood mixed with our traditional Punjabi styles and a whole load of mainstream beats, hooks and rifts. The RDB sound cannot be pigeon- holed into one genre or category – it creates its own!
What sort of local talent have you worked with in India? Do you feel some of the contestants on singing reality shows are up to the mark when it comes to professional singing? We have worked with various local artists in India. We have recently collaborated with a well known musician called Raftaar. Some of the contestants on these shows have distinctive vocals yet are not purely judged on their vocals but their appearance. Although you have been cutting studio albums, your foray into the Indian scene has mainly been via Bollywood movies. Do you feel this would be a good time for an album in India? We love working on all types of projects. We know our audience and believe strongly that when we are ready to drop an album they will embrace it. There are already plans for a release of an album this year so watch this space! Who are your current favourite musicians in India today? The talent is just immense, it’s hard to pinpoint a single artist. What motivated you to set up a studio in India? Is this the right time to be part of our music industry? India is our second home, we just love it out there and being part of a booming entertainment industry is something we would love to venture into. Of all your collaborations, which was the most memorable and why? Tell us something about it that made it special… We have enjoyed working with all artists, be it from the mainstream or newcomers. Snoop Dogg was definitely an enjoyable experience and he is a great person to work with and we were always huge fans. You are also set to compose the entire soundtrack of a Hindi movie for the first time. Tell us a bit about the project – how did it come about and how will you go about working on it? What kind of sound are you aiming for? Do you plan collaborations? We want to know it all! Once we have the final tracks ready you will be the first to know. Rest assured it will be a good mix of typical RDB bangers with a few soft ballads.

During classes he discovered his passion for design and photography. After school he did a course in graphic design at COSTAATT and then went after an associate degree in graphic design. While at school he was given an internship at the renowned advertising agency McCann Erickson. After that experience and after working at a couple other places, Ikenna felt he wanted to own his own business and work for himself. He formed GFX Designs & Concepts, a company that does graphic design and photography and which now has a massive Facebook following of over 25,000 likes. Ikenna’s photographic career began by him accompanying other photographers on their shoots. Eventually he was able to purchase his own camera and has been doing some impressive work ever since. He started with a point-and-shoot camera and then he brought his DSLR, all the while learning as much as he could learn from everywhere. Ikenna said that his photography is where he spends most of his time currently as his career and business interests evolve. He enjoys doing portrait photography and capturing the best look from his subjects. His intends is to get better and stronger in his profession and build his studio to a place where he can work from and bring his clients to. His spare time is spent doing photography. It’s his passion, it’s what he is happy to do all the time. Ikenna’s OMG moment happens every time he is working with a subject, trying to achieve the best shot of them and the moment it happens and he takes the shot he was going for, that is his OMG moment. ‘On the left is a link to a short video Ikenna produced while he was doing a project recently. He says, “Shooting personal work is always fun and helps build your skills, so I and my creative team took on the challenge to recreate the “Pocahontas” cartoon character looks and bring it to life. We organised the shoot overnight and asked one of my staff to go to make-up artist Renicia De Roach, shot it the following day and the rest was history’. http://www.facebook.com/gfxstudios?fref=ts

The new Lamborghini Veneno $4.6 Million
A representative for Lamborghini confirmed with UrbanIslandz.com that Birdman is NOT one of the three exclusive buyers for the new Lamborghini Veneno. Two of the buyers are entrepreneurs located in the US and the other is located in the UAE.
There were rumours all week that Cash honcho Birdman was about to become one of only three people to own a Lamborghini Veneno. The Italian iconic car company created the Veneno as part of its 50th anniversary. The car comes with a retail price tag of $4.6 million. The cars are already sold out even before going
into production. The Lamborghini Veneno is based of the Aventador body but with more extreme body styling made entirely of carbon fibre. This hypercar is powered by a 740 horsepower 6.5-litre V12 engine, with a top speed of 220 miles per hour.

Titanic II set to sail in 2016, without TV or Internet access Clive Palmer, an Australian billionaire who made his money mainly through mining operations, has announced he intends to enjoy the money he has earned over his life by spending it before he dies. His first big investment? Building a new cruise ship that will be a replica of the Titanic. The announcement was made and a blueprint of the ship released on board the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York. It’s called the Titanic II and is set to be constructed in China at the CSC Jinling Shipyard over the next three years. Passengers Clive are expected to be using it to cross the Atlantic beginning June 2016. The ship is a replica of the original, but the design actually makes it three inches longer than the 1912 version at 883 feet. Anyone enjoying the luxuries of modern cruise ships will be disappointed, though. To keep things “real,” the Titanic II won’t be outfitted with access to the Internet or even a TV. Your entertainment looks likely to be whatever was on
offer in the early 1900s. Who knows, they might even ask for your gadgets to be handed in before you are allowed to board. Despite that, Palmer says he’s already had a lot of interest and over 40,000 people have signed up for tickets. That’s good news as he needs 2,435 passengers to fill it and 900 crew members to keep the ship running during its five-day trip across the Atlantic. The worry is that after the excitement has died down there won’t be much interest on using the ship to travel. Some have even said it’s a bit tacky Palmer recreating the ship that 1,500 people died on when it hit an iceberg. There’s also the issue of cost, with Palmer quoting $750,000 to $1 million if you want to secure one of the cabins on board. Looking on the bright side, even if the Titanic II does fail it will still be able to act as an almost perfect recreation of the original ship and could become a museum attraction once it stops sailing.
Eyeball Tattoos
the New Trend
in Dancehall Kids don’t try this at home. Face tattoos were so yesterday. Today the new trend in dancehall is eyeball tattoos.
dancehall star Alkaline
Upcoming dancehall star Alkaline shows the world that a tattoo can be done on any part of the body including the eyeball. The disturbing new trend is not only dangerous, it’s scary looking. Perhaps someone is taking this whole demonic trend in dancehall a bit too seriously. Seeing this photo of the tattoo needle touching the eyeball gives you the chills. To make matters worse Alkaline looks like he is 12 years old.
Is Nicki Minaj Leaving or
Not Leaving American Idol? Is Nicki Minaj Leaving or Not Leaving American Idol? That’s the confusing question everyone is asking after an interview recently. Speaking with MTV News, Nicki Minaj says it’s possible that she could leave American Idol but NOT right now. “It’s possible, but for right now, I’m about to shoot another single off The Re-Up,” Nicki Minaj says. “The song is called ‘High School’ with Wayne. And then [I’ll] start working on that follow-up album.” “I’ll be doing it here in L.A. while I’m shooting Idol,” Nicki said. “It’s gonna be the direction of the new songs that I put out on the re-release.” Clearly she did not say she was leaving American Idol to work on her album. Frankly we think she brought some fresh vibe to the talent show.
