Licence renewal application support on-going A
fter over 10 years of supporting members prepare for their licence renewal, a lockdown due to COVID-19 did not stop ARCA continuing to support members. Applications for asbestos licence renewal still had to be prepared and/or electronically submitted to the HSE during lockdown, and ARCA was there to assist members by holding remote meetings, either by using Teams or Zoom. ARCA plans to continue this remote approach where it is deemed an effective means of assistance. Some face-to-face meetings have taken place, as this approach was considered the most appropriate and COVID-19 safe working arrangements were in place. Planning a licence renewal application is crucial, and so is asking for support early in that process. By asking for assistance early enough there is time to implement any suggestions, gather further evidence, as well as gaining a better understanding of the application process and how to submit evidence.
