THE PERFECT GIFT TO PARENTS | With
Mother’s (and Father’s) Day soon arriving what better gift to give this loved one, whether living or deceased, than a spiritual bouquet of prayers for them and you too. Clerical Endowment Fund cards offer a spiritual bouquet of Masses and daily prayers by the Bishop and seminarians for the enrolled as well as the benefactor. Funds raised from the sale of the cards are given to the Bishop to aid in the education of seminarians. The parish office has cards in English and Spanish year-round. Cards valued at $2 or $5 offer a year of spiritual benefits. Perpetual prayers and Masses come with a $25 individual, $50 family or $100 group donation. They are a unique way to honor living or deceased relatives or friends for any celebratory occasion.

to raise funds to support a new bible study program at Down Home Ranch located in Elgin. It has been difficult for them to maintain a bible study program due to the turnover in teachers and their varied faith backgrounds. Judy Horton of Down Home Ranch is a certified spiritual companion through the Oblate School of Theology. She is developing a comprehensive threeyear cycle of bible study lessons based on the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. This program will provide direction and support for the teachers. In addition to purchasing program materials, funds will be used to provide each student with a binder for their individual papers, worksheets, and lessons. We were pleased to present our check for $577.00 to Judy Horton.
COLLECTION FOR SEMINARIANS EDUCATION AND FORMATION will be held in the Diocese April 22-23. This
fund supports the education of diocesan seminarians and is a major source of revenue for the seminaries who prepare these men to serve as priests of our diocese. Please place your special envelope for this purpose in collection baskets on Easter or Divine Mercy Sundays. Thank you for your generosity! HELP ST. LOUIS FOOD PANTRY secure
an X-Series 49 cu. ft. Reach-In Double Door Commercial Upright Freezer in Stainless Steel. It will feature 6 shelves, selfclosing doors, with a cost of $3,201.53. St. Louis Food Pantry currently has 2 stand-up residential freezers and one box residential freezer. There are times when the freezers are too full to receive more meat and we have to donate items to another food pantry. With this freezer we will be able to hold more meat and be able to give our clients more food as well. We’ve already received a donation of $500.00 towards this freezer. Can you help? Send donations to St. Louis Food Pantry, care of the Church Office, and put “Freezer Donation” in the memo section. Thank you for your generosity! THE SPIRITUAL JOURNEY RETREAT, sponsored by

St. Louis Catholic School was honored to have a special guest, Father Rocky, the executive director from Relevant Radio (970AM), come visit the school. He celebrated Mass with the students and spent time talking with the 5-8 graders about using social media to spread "good news". He then spent time touring the school, visiting each classroom, answering student questions and viewing their hard work. We are grateful for his gift of rosaries for our school.

CATHOLIC SERVICES UPDATE | Thank you parishioners
for your outstanding support of the Diocesan Catholic Services Appeal last fall. St. Louis had a goal of $172,000 and the Diocese of Austin has now received pledges of $194,769.80 or 113.24% of the goal pledged! To date, $134,800.96 has been received from the total of 480 pledges. We not only surpassed our parish goal, but a “challenge” goal of $186,823! Congratulations and grateful appreciation to all who helped us reach our parish goals! Those still paying on their pledges are reminded to continue sending your donations to the Diocese of Austin (not St. Louis) so you can receive credit toward the amount pledged.

YOUR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
made 3 home visits during the week ending on March 7. We helped 2 families with rent and 1 family with utilities. One recent case was that of a young man who had just completed rehabilitation and had now moved into a group home to begin getting his life back on track. He is currently looking for work and was asking for help with his first month’s rent. Because of your support, we were able to provide $200 towards his rent and provided a list of other agencies that might be able to also help with his rent. We also provided a $20 HEB gift card, a 31-day bus pass to facilitate his job search, advice on where some jobs were available, and a clothing voucher to help him make a good impression at job interviews. Our volunteers concluded their visit by praying with him. On behalf of the most needy in our community, the Society of St Vincent de Paul would like to thank those of you who have been purchasing grocery cards at the Script table and donating them. Your generosity goes a long way. WE ARE IN NEED OF Toothbrushes, travel size
toothpaste, travel size deodorant, socks, travel size shaving cream, travel size mouthwash. NEXT ENGLISH CURSILLO | Cursillo is a three-day course
