ADVENT PENANCE SERVICES will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at

Chapel. The St. Louis King’s Choir will be offering a quiet service of meditation and reflection on the ancient songs of the Church. This is a perfect way to begin the week before Christmas, reflecting on the gift of our Savior that is often overlooked in the parties and shopping of the season. This 2017-2018 school year, St. Louis Catholic School opened up its new Makerspace! Students in Montessori through 8th grade enrich their classroom experience though hands-on learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). The Makerspace has a variety of materials to reach students at all grade levels incorporating robotics, coding, circuitry, engineering, creative play, and even a 3D printer. Future Cougar Roundup Pre-K and K CLERICAL ENDOWMENT FUND CARDS offer a
year-long spiritual bouquet of Masses and daily prayers for the recipient as well as the person who buys the cards. Cards range in cost from $2-$100, and some are available in Spanish. All funds go toward the education of our seminarians; currently there are 37 men in some level of formation. Cards are available in the church office yearround. Many people use the card for almost any occasion – sacramental milestones, weddings, condolences, get well, etc. At this time of year, the $2 Christmas card is a wonderful way to remember family, friends and clergy.
THE BASIC TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH PROGRAM
offers a general introduction to the theological principles found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It includes: Introduction to the Sacred Scriptures; The Creed; Liturgy and Sacraments; Christian Morality; Prayer and Spirituality. Classes are Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., beginning January, 11. Each of the five segments requires 6 hours of instruction, distributed in 3 classes of 2 hours.
