We spread these leaves between rows of vegetables to act as a natural weed barrier and enrich the soil. It’s an easy way to help the Farm and get rid of bags of leaves. If interested, contact stlouisfarmatx@gmail.com to let us know and leave your bags of leaves next to the Farm gate near the corner of St. Joseph and Hardy Street, anytime in the next month.

YOUR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY currently has a very complex case involving two sisters living together
with their 10 children. They lived in their own 50’ mobile home in a crowded trailer park on US183 near Burnet Road. This home burned down and was a total loss, and the Red Cross was unable to help them. They will continue to be charged $650/month rent for the trailer park space until they can get the remains of their home removed. They have found alternative housing for $950/month in a dilapidated, roach-infested 4-plex apartment. Members of our conference have been collecting donated household items for them since all of theirs were destroyed. They have no furniture. We have encouraged them to visit local food pantries and the SVdP Family Store, and to apply for food stamps. Other conference members are investigating means for getting the remains of their mobile home demolished and removed. Please pray for this local family. YOUTH MINISTRY
