EIM WORKSHOP | All clergy and paid staff, and all volunteers working with youth and vulnerable adults, at any parish or diocesan location, are required to complete a onetime Application for Ministry prior to beginning their work/ service and attend an EIM workshop within 60 days of submitting the application. An ENGLISH EIM Workshop will be held Saturday, March 4 at 10 a.m. in Wozniak Hall – arrive promptly as the workshop will start on time and late arrivals will not be permitted entrance. Directions on how to pre-register or submit an application can be found here: www.st-louis.org/eim SPECIAL DIOCESAN COLLECTION for Catholic higher education will be held in our parish on Feb. 18-19. 2016 CONTRIBUTIONS | Per IRS regulations, St. Louis
Church automatically sends out 2016 tax statements to anyone who has given a single donation of $250 or more. Donors who don’t quite meet this threshold may contact the Church Office at 512-454-0384 ext. 201 to request your statements. We are happy to mail your first statement at no charge, but ask that you pick up replacement statements from the Church Office during regular business hours. 2017 AT THE ST. LOUIS FARM | As 2017 begins, make it a resolution to help out at St. Louis Farm! The winter months are a great opportunity to volunteer -- the weather is cooler, the Farm is full of tasks large and small, and volunteering is a great way to give back after Christmas feasting. We'll be having a monthly Saturday Work Day on February 25 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. We'll have refreshments, fellowship, seasoned volunteers to guide you, and you can help us provide fresh vegetables for the Food Pantry! To get there from the Church, walk in front of the Church Office Building and through the gate. Cross the Parking Lot to the gated area around the Little House. Walk inside the gates and go up the steps onto the wooden deck. You will be at the door for Nursery! For the next few weeks, we will have signs up to make it easier to find. made 5 home visits during the week ending on January 3rd. We helped 2 families with rent, 1 family with utilities, 1 family with medications, and one with a bus pass. We again distributed some of the HEB cards that you had donated, along with clothing vouchers. One recent case was that of a St. Louis parishioner who works to support her two children. She had served for more than 10 years in the US Marines before moving to Austin 13 years ago. During the holiday rush she had missed a payment on her Austin utility payment plan. The total balance of $645 immediately became due and they threatened to immediately disconnect her home. She had managed to come up with $500 and was only asking for help with the final $145. Because of your support, we were able to provide this balance and help her keep her power on. She offered to repay us by making contributions to our Social Ministry collection, but we encouraged to focus on her children and their needs. Our volunteers concluded their visit by praying with her. WE ARE IN NEED OF Toothbrushes, travel size
