Forming Our Faith ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC SCHOOL excellence in education pre k4 through 8th grade mrs. Cindy Gee, M.Ed., Principal

We are proud to announce the St. Louis Catholic School honoree at the Celebrating Catholic Schools Awards Dinner is Mr. Joe Huerta! Each year a volunteer is honored for their service and support of our school. Joe has been an active volunteer at the church and school for many years. He began by assisting our maintenance department on projects throughout the school. After several years he was asked to share his passion for running by helping out with an afterschool running club for children in all grades. During this time, Joe decided he might enjoy being a substitute teacher. He put his name on the sub list and began a course to fulfill the requirements for a teaching certificate. He now volunteers as a substitute teacher several times a week. In addition to maintenance and substitute teaching, he also served on the committee to plan our Cougar Chase Fun Run, he gave demonstrations during Engineers’ week to several classes (Joe is also a retired engineer), and he helps coach the cross country team. He selflessly goes above and beyond sharing his time and talents with students and staff. Mr. Huerta is a true blessing to St. Louis Catholic School. He will be recognized at the Honor Roll: Celebrating Catholic Schools Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 27.
