DIRECTORY
IS
PLANNED!
Beginning in June, families will have the opportunity to schedule a photo session with LifeTouch, the company that will produce our parish pictorial directory. Photo sessions will be held for three weeks, July 11 – 29, in Wozniak Hall. Watch publications and our parish website for additional information. Be professionally photographed! Immediately view your portraits and purchase additional photos for gifts. Each family that participates will receive a complimentary 8x10 portrait and a directory. Plan to be part of our new family directory! Parish Hosts are needed for each hour of photography in July. Photography will be Tuesday through Friday from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Volunteers from the parish have to be present, checking in families for their photo sessions. Would you consider being a volunteer host for these photo sessions? Please contact Melissa Fields at missy0531@hotmail. com to volunteer, or maybe your parish ministry would like to host a day of photography! Volunteer times can be scheduled now!

ANNOUNCEMENTS YOUR PARISH LIBRARY has enjoyed a very successful
year. Our patrons have enjoyed our resources for reading great books, listening to beautiful music CD's and watching good movies. It has also been fun sharing story time activities with the early childhood classes each Wednesday morning. But as the school year comes to an end, the library hours will change. The parish library extended hours have ended for this school year. The new hours for the remainder of May and for the summer are as follows: Sundays 11:00 a.m. until noon Mondays 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in May. Beginning in June, the library will be closed on Mondays. Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. until noon and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The library will be closed Sunday, May 28 and Sunday, June 11. The library is also closed throughout the month of July. Patrons who are returning books when the library is closed may do so by bringing them to the Parish Education Center during regular working hours Monday through Friday. All books, videos, or music CD's should be returned by Wednesday, June 31. Watch the bulletin for updates on library hours beginning in August. SERVING IN THE PASTORAL COUNCIL | On Pentecost
Sunday, June 4th, the discernment process for new members will begin, replacing outgoing members. Parishioners called to leadership are asked to begin prayerfully considering service on the Pastoral Council for a three-year term. Names will be submitted on Pentecost weekend and candidates will be invited to two evenings of reflection on God’s call to service in the St. Louis community. For more information contact Ryan Edgerly at edge0805@gmail.com or Peter Polito at pjpolito@ gmail.com
COLLECTION FOR THE ARCHDIOCESE FOR THE MILITARY SERVICEs is May 27-28. This collection is taken
every third year and helps support our military chaplains as they minister to the American servicemen and women around the world. This collection, scheduled on Memorial Day weekend, reminds us of those who serve our country, often with the sacrifice of their own lives. Please give generously using the special envelope from your packets and place it in the regular collection that weekend. If you don’t get parish envelopes, look for extra envelopes in the tract racks before that weekend. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR GRADUATES! High
school graduates are honored this weekend at the 11:30 a.m. Mass, but we congratulate ALL our parish graduates whether from Early Childhood, 8th grade, 12th grade, college and beyond! May this be just the beginning of new horizons and new exciting experiences in your life! Make Jesus Christ part of your journey and let him guide your path in all your decisions ahead!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS NOT BEING HELD
at St. Louis this summer. VBS is a wonderful program but requires a large group of volunteers to coordinate, plan and run it. We regret the decision, but coordinators and volunteers are in short supply as vacations and other activities interfere with their participation. We give thanks for our wonderful volunteers who support the religious education programs of this parish from August through May! You and your families deserve a break and we applaud your dedicated support during the school year! MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THESE MUSICAL EVENTS!

YOUR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
One recent case was that of a single Mom with 3 small children who had just moved to Austin from a small town near Corpus Christi in search of a better job for herself and a better life for her children. At that time, she had been in Austin for two weeks and she and her children were sleeping at her Aunt's apartment, but otherwise living in her car. She has done some housekeeping work since her arrival, and is looking for a job. She was also looking for a place to live so that her mother, who lives where she used to, could come live with her and watch the kids so that she could work. We gave her information about the various help resources available in the area and pledged $250 towards her deposit and/or first month's rent. She discovered that most of the agencies in our area cannot provide help until she has an address, such as a signed apartment lease. Also, she won't really benefit from the food pantries until she has a place to store the food that they are given. Several days later she was able to get into an apartment using the deposit that you had provided. She was then awaiting her Mom’s arrival. Our volunteers concluded each of their visits by praying with her.
