ANNOUNCEMENTS YOUR PARISH LIBRARY has enjoyed a very successful

year. Our patrons have enjoyed our resources for reading great books, listening to beautiful music CD's and watching good movies. It has also been fun sharing story time activities with the early childhood classes each Wednesday morning. But as the school year comes to an end, the library hours will change. The parish library extended hours have ended for this school year. The new hours for the remainder of May and for the summer are as follows: Sundays 11:00 a.m. until noon Mondays 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in May. Beginning in June, the library will be closed on Mondays. Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. until noon and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The library will be closed Sunday, May 28 and Sunday, June 11. The library is also closed throughout the month of July. Patrons who are returning books when the library is closed may do so by bringing them to the Parish Education Center during regular working hours Monday through Friday. All books, videos, or music CD's should be returned by Wednesday, June 31. Watch the bulletin for updates on library hours beginning in August. SERVING IN THE PASTORAL COUNCIL | On Pentecost

YOUR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

made 4 home visits during the week ending on April 18th. We helped 2 families with rent, 1 family with utilities, and 1 family with HEB cards and bus passes. One recent case was that of a woman who had recently moved to Austin. She lives alone in a small kitchenette apartment and suffers from cerebral palsy. She has no income and no one to help her. Her SSI disability had previously been overpaid and is now cut off. She has limited mobility and very decayed teeth. We were able to connect her with a free dental care program administered by the SVDP Conference at St. John Neumann. This program connects those needing dental care and without funds or insurance to area dentists who donate their services. We are also trying to connect her with other sources of help in our community. Because of your support, we were able to pay her $40 utility bill and provide food and cleaning/hygiene materials. Our volunteers concluded their visit by praying with her. WE ARE IN NEED OF Toothbrushes, travel size

toothpaste, travel size deodorant, socks, travel size shaving cream, travel size mouthwash.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS! We have immediate openings in the Ambrose Ringers (handbells) and Cecilia Singers and Orchestra. No audition necessary. Please talk to Scott McNulty (512-454-0384 x202 or scott. mcnulty@st-louis.org) if you have any interest in these groups or know someone who might. Be a part of the music ministry!
