ANNOUNCEMENTS THE WELCOME MINISTRY invites newcomers to stop
by the Welcome Desk, on your left as you exit into the Narthex. For any current parishioners who did not have an opportunity to stop by during the recent Ministry Fair, the Welcome Ministers will also provide you with information about all our various groups here at St. Louis. Check out the ministry flyers in the tract rack closest to the Welcome Desk, providing you opportunities to join and serve at St. Louis! ALTAR SERVERS’ ELEVATION SERVICE will be
Tuesday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. Parishioners are always invited to share in this annual liturgy, as altar servers are recognized for their service and faithfulness to the Church. Servers start as apprentices and assume more responsibilities as they mature and grow, being elevated annually based on their training and grade level. SHARE THE JOURNEY | The Week of October 7 - 14
has been designated as a week of prayer and action for migrants and refugees. You are invited to be in solidarity with the Holy Father and Caritas Internationalis to respond to the needs of refugees, reduce poverty and improve opportunities so people can remain in the countries where they live. This two-year campaign, in collaboration with the USCCB, Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Relief Services, encourages us as a Church to especially join in prayer for those who have come to our country to build a better life. The campaign also promotes “the culture of encounter”, building stronger communities and more inclusive societies for all those who live together, whether native born, migrants or refugees.
