Bharat Jodo Yatra: Reclaiming India’s Soul” by Pushparaj Deshpande & Ruchira Chaturvedi, published by HarperCollins India is a book that is the definitive account of the epic 4,000-kilometre nationwide march from September 2022 to January 2023 under the stewardship of Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and former President of the Indian National Congress

The First "Bharat Jodo" Yatra (September 2022 to January 2023)
Traversing the nation from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, the first yatra covered a staggering 6,713 kilometers, touching 71 Lok Sabha constituencies. The impact was profound, with the Congress and its allies securing victories in 41 seats along the route. This journey symbolized a call for unity amidst the growing divisions in the country
The Second "Bharat Jodo Nyay" Yatra (January 14 to March 16, 2024)
The second yatra, aptly named "Bharat Jodo Nyay," began in Manipur’s Thoubal district and concluded in Mumbai This leg covered 100 Lok Sabha constituencies, 337 assembly segments, and 110 districts, marking an unprecedented voter engagement effort Notably, over 3 6 crore Indians participated in a single day, highlighting the yatra's widespread appeal
Performance
in Key States
Uttar Pradesh: The yatra passed through over 20 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the Congress winning three seats and the Samajwadi Party (SP) securing six seats. Delhi: Despite covering Delhi during the first yatra, the Congress and its allies did not win any seats, with the BJP sweeping all five contested seats.
Maharashtra: The Congress, in alliance with the MahaVikasAghadi (MVA), won nine seats from areas visited during the yatra Prominent leaders
2024
like Aaditya Thackeray, KC Venugopal, and Supriya Sule joined Rahul Gandhi, reinforcing the campaign's strength in the state
Northeastern States: Beginning in Manipur, the yatra passed through Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland Despite controversies at a sacred Assam shrine, the Congress emerged victorious in six seats in the region

Throughout the yatra, Rahul Gandhi engaged with citizens on several critical issues:

It was dark and the streets had fallen silent All was quiet within the house, which stood at a corner plot of Calcutta’s Jodhpur Park The family had turned in for the night But in one room, something stirred in the darkness
A small table in front of an open window held a broad wooden board It was the colour of ochre and sand blended together with a raw harshness that defied the soft tone of the wood Black letters, painted stark and thick, stood out in bold contrast The alphabets formed an arc, and below it, were numbers Small YES and NO boxes bordered the two corners A triangular wooden piece on tiny wooden spokes rested on the board It had a large round glass piece fitted into the centre The planchette was set up, waiting for fingers to touch it and open the channel
A young man was seated at the table, hunched over the board. Two plain white candles burned on two sides.
His hands shook as he placed the tip of his fingers on the triangular planchette and sweat beaded his brow. His lips moved, speaking softly, calling, ‘Manik, are you here?’
There was silence.
The flames burned on both sides, like yellow eyes of a feral animal watching him from the darkness The night-time silence grew and the blackness outside seemed to take on more substance, drifting in through the window grill, like the soft drapes of a mourner’s veil
The minutes passed slowly The long hand of a small bedside clock moved steadily across its luminous white face
Outside, the metallic ring of a bicycle bell sounded, its solitary chime echoing through the void of deepening night
Within the room, all was still A muted creak came from the wooden door, as if invisible hands were pressing against it, waiting to enter
Fatigue pressed in upon the young man His shoulders drooped and his eyes were starting to feel heavy His arms were slack as his wrist rested heavily on the edge of the board, keeping his fingers in contact with the planchette pointer
The coppery light from the street lamp outside created sharp shadows of the grill, and threw them, like small animal bones across the planchette board A slight shift in the air made the candles’ flames quiver and for a moment, the dark bones were animated with life, moving jerkily across the wooden board
Something had changed in the darkness There was electricity in the air
The youth drew a long breath, saying, ‘Are you there? Please, speak to me Manik?’
The curtains at the window moved slightly A soft breeze passed through the branches of a mango tree outside, crackling through the branches and the leaves
And then, a tremble ran through the man’s fingers It emanated from the planchette pointer that they rested on. The line of tremor seemed to run through that pointer, dragging it upwards, towards the alphabets. The youth gasped ‘Is someone there?’
The pointer darted to the corner of the board, straight to one of the lettered boxes.
‘YES’
Adrenalin coursed through him, bringing all his senses to an instant alertness Wide eyed, he looked at the board and at the glass eye of the planchette pointer, which still shivered slightly under his fingers ‘Are you real?’ he blurted out His forearm felt pulled by an invisible force as the wooden piece highlighted the black letters with jagged movements
‘YOU WANTED ME TO COME,’ the movement spelled out
He froze
‘Manik, is it really you?’
The planchette stood still
‘I’m so sorry,’ he said, starting to cry softly ‘Can you forgive me? I should have been more careful I never dreamt ’
Everything was still Too still An icy cold mist stood around the young man and he didn’t notice how his breath was now starting to get slightly misted Goosebumps flecked his forearms and the perspiration on his forehead dried cold
‘Are you there?’ he asked, peering closer at the board
The planchette was quiet for a moment and then started to drag his fingers forward in quick determined movements:
‘I AM WITH YOU ’
A sharp cry rent the darkness as the candles blew out in one fell swoop and a grey smoky haze engulfed the youth
Santanu was a bright young man in his late twenties, studying in Calcutta’s prestigious Presidency College. His subject was physics, and his professors had espied in him a questing mind combined with an intellectual daring that saw him tread new paths of thought in his chosen field. They foresaw for him high honours and were practically certain that he would get a full scholarship at one of the world’s best known ivy league colleges
Santanu’s elderly parents were very proud of their son He was their only child, and they had always known that he would make it big in the world
Santanu’s father was the retired VC of a well-known university in the city and his mother had been a teacher of English at a prestigious girl’s college of Calcutta University, but had taken early retirement some years ago
They were a family of academics and it seemed only natural to his parents that Santanu should excel in intellectual pursuits
HOLDING ON TO LIFE

he boat left the jetty of Port Blair. My destination was Narcondam, an uninhabited oceanic island of volcanic origin, located about 240 km northeast of Port Blair in the Andaman Islands.The word Narcondam originated from the Tamil word “Naraka Kundam” or the pit of hell Sprawling over a small area of about 6 8 square kilometers, it had a dormant volcano
It was the month of December, and the freezing billows of wind moved about me in an unwelcoming mood I was traveling all alone on an assignment to write about the seldomrecognized geographical locations in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands that had limited biological exploration and research over the last century While visiting these spots, my guide David mentioned the dormant volcano in Narcondam
In the boat, we found another 15–20 people headed toward the island
“You’ll get to see long-nosed monkeys over there ” David said; a man probably in his late forties, with brown eyes and a long nose
“I’m Tara ” I said, smilingly, to a newlywed couple
“I’m Shiela, and this is my husband, Kunal We’re on our honeymoon ” The woman said, flaunting the semi-precious stones on the rings adorning her fingers.
Another family introduced themselves Nivan, probably a thirty-year-old guy with his wife, Ahana, and two daughters, Sara and Zoya. An elderly couple, Mr and Mrs Roy, said they were traveling to all the well-known historical places though this island had no specific factual significance other than that it attracted visitors who wished to get a glimpse of its dormant volcano Other passengers mostly kept to themselves and didn’t seem quite friendly
On reaching the shore of the island, we found the enveloping mangrove trees with submerged roots that moved gently into the depth of the emeraldblue seawater
“There are the long-nosed monkeys Over there Can you see them?” David said, pointing to the dense vegetation along the shore Our eyes shifted toward the coastal vegetation and on failure to detect any living being, back to David
You’ll find these Narcondam hornbills, endemic and globally endangered. If we are lucky, we’ll get to see them.” He continued brightly.
We descended on the white sand beach and ambled down shoreward, mostly covered with evergreen and deciduous forest, with trees such as country almond, and fishtail palm, from where the mountainous region started It was a short hike through the evergreen trees like Dipterocarpus, Sideroxylon (bully trees), and fig trees The vegetation toward the summit was dense, mostly moist evergreen with several epiphytes upto approximately 700 m from sea level, on the western side of the island
The crater of the volcano could be seen from a distance the volcanic cone with a hollow, truncated top, and two high, unequal shoulders A sluggish, pond-like stream that glinted in the morning sun flowed by the mountain The music of its rustling water came to us faintly as if from a distant land We had to cross the creek of water on foot where it was ankledeep to reach the site of the volcano
As we went near the crater that was lit intermittently by the light and the next moment hidden by the cloudy shade, we found white fumes emanating from it
“A constant feature Nothing to worry!” David said, touching his nose with his index finger
On the verge of moving toward the forest area, David alerted me, “It’s better to stay with all the tourists ” I smiled and was about to venture into the dense vegetation when Mrs Roy held my hand affectionately and said, “Yes, young lady. Let’s be together or else we might get lost over here.”
“Next, we’ll visit the limestone cave,” David announced all of a sudden.
I was about to say something when we heard a loud bang. It seemed to originate from somewhere nearby. Within seconds we found the whole place filled with a blinding cloud of grey–black ashes, gases, hot mud, and slurries It seemed as if the sky above had cracked and tons of ash and rock particles were thundering down like unlit meteorites It took a while to sink in that the volcano had erupted without a warning, spewing ash, rocks, and steam I looked around and found Mr and Mrs Roy kneeling on the ground near me Instinctively, we covered our faces with our hands and kept staring at the earth With the rising panic, I didn’t know how long we had been in that state when we felt intense heat on our bodies, somewhat like a chicken being steamed
It had been a couple of minutes that we stayed in that position, waiting for the staggering volcanic explosion to subside but it continued If we stayed there for too long, we would be fried alive Wading through the sea of helplessness with an injured leg, I somehow got up on my feet and trudged
forward As I turned around, I found Mr and Mrs Roy lying on the ground Mr Roy was motionless He seemed to be senseless Mrs Roy gestured me to leave
“I won’t be able to make it ” She said, constantly coughing from the gaseous emanation, with tears running down her cheeks
“I’ll come back with help,” I promised
As I went downhill amidst rolling clouds of debris and flying rocks that had swept down the volcano’s verge, I found many others lying on the ground, probably not breathing anymore The green verdure, sparkling blue streams and lakes were totally wiped out from the scene, and what lay in their place were a pitless, dull grey and plumes of smoke everywhere The atmosphere was stripped of its vitality My breath seemed feeble with the uncontrollable cough due to the soaring poisonous gases, leaving me dizzy and exhausted. Further down the ash-blanketed way, I saw Kunal and Shiela lying still almost buried in ash, bodies battered by the cascading rocks holding hands even in their never-to-wake-up sleep. A surge of horror engulfed me, as I found myself to be the only survivor among them. The smothering smoke had not only choked the living but also stifled their spirit to remain alive.
A little further away was the stream that we had earlier crossed to reach the volcano There were bubbles all over as it wasfuming with muddy water like a water-filled kettle put upon the gas ring to boil I walked along the stream till I reached a spot where the stream had narrowed down to only a foot It was impossible for me to jump, but I still managed to do so with the limp On reaching the beach, I found a rescue team in uniform probably the coastguards They’d arrived on a boat Behind me, Nivan came along
“Where’s your wife? And the children?” I asked him, observing his shoulder-length hair matted with thick grey ash
He kept quiet for a moment while tears welled up in his eyes “Let’s get to the boat ” He said in a heavy voice “There are many survivors out there ” I indicated to the rescue team, sensing the suspension of the recovery effort
With meager strength left, we somehow got on the boat As the rescue team members held our hands to help us settle down, the skin on our limbs where they touched started falling off and sticking onto their hands, resembling a snake shedding its cloak Once around five of the survivors were in the boat, they started moving toward the direction of the main island.
“What about the others? There are so many of them over there Around 10–15 people must be there requiring help ” I shouted
“Yes, yes, we know we’ll get the bodies soon ” They said with faces probably darker than the blackening cloud over the volcano
“What are you saying? They must be still alive I know ” These were my last words before I fell into a swoon When I regained consciousness, we were somewhere midway between Narcondam and Port Blair. The rescue team members were applying the cold water of the sea on our burns which reduced the excruciating pain to a certain extent.
For moments, I thought nothing but the astonishing escape from sheer death. Broken and unable to rise, my feeble movements indicated signs of life, as I gazed in bewilderment at the azure sky and silently bid a strange farewell to the land of the fuming volcano.

The air in the train was thick with the mingled scents of instant coffee, Samosas, and the noisy rumble of conversation accompanied by occasional touches of laughter. I was scanning each face as a writer with an insatiable hunger for stories for my next novel.
As the train rumbled to life, I squeezed into my seat comfortably, and my curious eyes wandered around my compartment A group of college students huddled together, their faces alight with excited chatter, sat across the aisle They were in deep conversation and often burst into laughter As they saw me looking at them, their loud laughs mellowed into frequent giggles
Looking at them reminded me of my time as a Youth when friends meant the whole world Seizing the opportunity, I initiated a conversation, seeking to bridge the gap between our generations Soon, we were all engaged in a lively exchange
"So, tell me, what is your happy space?" I inquired, the writer in me ever-present They exchanged puzzled glances One, with fiery red nails and a mischievous glint in her eyes, says, "Hanging out with my friends like this! Sharing crazy stories doing crazy stuff, knowing they'll have my back no matter what "
The boy beside her, hair tousled and sporting a chipped tooth, chimed in, "Cricket! Winning a match nothing beats it!" He grinned
My heart warmed at their unadulterated joy. But happiness wasn't the only story I wanted to hear. "And what worries you the most?" I asked gently, " I mean the things that keep you up at night?"
A momentary silence descended upon the group. The girl with the red nails speaks again, her voice softer now, "The future? Entrance exams and finding a dream job...... feel like never-ending challenges. There's so much pressure to succeed at each step and so much to figure it all out "
The boy nodded, a shadow flickering across his playful features "Grades, definitely My parents expect straight A's in coaching to crack competitive exams Huh! But I I've been unfair towards them, he spoke softly with defined anxiety "You see, I'm facing this daunting challenge of telling my parents that I don't want to be a doctor, " the boy mumbled in a single row of breath "Eh need some more time to explore but definitely, not medicines" He sounded like many other Youths struggling to understand their choices for the future And also, how to voice what they want to do to their parents
"How do you plan to tell them? I asked.
"Don't know."....he shrugged his shoulders.... "But I will." He then giggles again in his mischievous glint." ....till then, let me have solace with my friends; the friends joined him, too."
I kept watching these raw, unfiltered emotions They're the Young minds struggling to stay carefree amongst the anxieties and uncertainties of impending adulthood Each dealt with their fears in its own way
"Excellent," I heard a male voice sitting next to me I looked at a man in his mid-fifties whose silver hair and tailored suit spoke of success and exuded a different weariness
"Eh sorry, I eavesdropped on your conversation with these kids", says the man as he apologized meekly "Hello, I'm Anil Varma, a businessman " He extended his business card with his initials as CEO of a wellknown start-up
Oh Y yes I recalled reading an article about him in Indian Times "You eh and " I stopped midway as Mr Anil shifted back his focus to the giggling Youth Some undefined emotion in his eyes caught my writer's mind
"Is something bothering you?" I asked gently
Sometimes, we open our hearts to strangers as we have no fear of being judged.... and that's what happened with Mr. Anil....perhaps he needed someone to confess
. Anil chuckled a humorless sound and said. " These kids here, they are struggling to achieve their dreams. " And here I am, Successful, but not so much happy?"
I raised an eyebrow, inviting him to elaborate.
He looked at me, eyes filled with regret. "Work… deadlines, and money my entire life went into overcoming these challenges I missed my children's milestones and quality time with my wife, disconnected from my friends And, N now, I stand alone with trophies of my success with no one to share "he sighed heavily
"An ironic twist, you can say?" A hint of a satirical smile played on his lips "The young ones chase a future for their dreams while I grapple with the emptiness of the one I built "
"Ohh " I offered a sympathetic murmur, the words failing to capture the complex emotions swirling within him "It must be harrowing," I asked Mr Anil gently
"Yes," he nodded " "And now, when I try to mend what's broken, I realize this is the most daunting challenge I've ever faced " He then got up to collect his suitcase I am now heading to my village to connect to my roots, he smiled, "starting with my dear ones there "
I wished him "Good Luck" for his new journey as he boarded down the station He gave me a thankful smile and stepped on a journey of fear and uncertainties mingled with determination to connect with his loved ones
The sun has sunk below the horizon outside the window Across my seat came and sat a couple From their proximity and appearance, they seem newlywed They looked happy, but as they got into conversation, the flustered expression on the bride's face intrigued me to eavesdrop on what they were discussing
Riya's smile lacked the usual newlywed sparkle. Her voice quivered as she spoke, "Starting a new life together... it's exciting, of course, but..." The "but" hung heavy in the air.
The flicker of uncertainty in her eyes made her husband, Rohan, lean closer. "But what, Riya?" he asked gently, sensing the storm beneath the surface.
"It just feels like " her voice wavered "Like mountains of adjustments and endless uncertainties Leaving everything I know behind a new house, faces, and routines I'm constantly on edge, trying to understand your family and their ways while worrying if I'll ever truly fit in " A tear of worry shimmered in her eyes
Rohan listened intently, his own smile fading
"And then there's this f fear of losing myself Waking up every morning, not recognizing the woman in the mirror because I'm so busy trying to please everyone else " Riya says, her voice barely a whisper
As she continued talking, her anxieties poured out, including the fear of neglecting her dreams and career She seems tangled in the uncertainties of 'What if that happens '
Rohan's hand reached out to cover hers, his touch a silent reassurance "We'll talk it through, Riya," he said, his voice thick with concern "We'll figure this out together "
Maya sighed, a flicker of hope battling the storm within "I know," she whispered, "It's just I built my life so carefully, and now it feels like it's all up for grabs." Rohan offered a comforting smile. "Marriage isn't a destination, Riya," he said gently. "It's a journey. There
will be challenges, but there will also be moments of love, laughter, and growth The key is to face them together, not apart "
Perhaps you're right, Rohan, she agrees, still figuring out how?
Rohan says, "We will work it out," and presses her hand with a promise
She smiles, leans on his shoulder, and whispers, "Yes " Riya realized these challenges would always exist but should not stop her from building a beautiful life with her love
As the train pulled into the station, signaling the end of their conversation
They both boarded down As they walked away holding each other hands to their new journey, their eyes filled with a newfound determination mixed with fear and hope.
By the time this train lulled me toward the end of my journey, my lap was full of stories. Each one I met was etched with a unique story of passing through either struggles or a set of challenges.
The young girl with crimson-painted nails struggles with an uncertain future The young boy faces the fear of unveiling the truth of his future dreams to his parents
Contrary to them was the seasoned businessman, success etched on his face, bore the silent challenge of loss The newlywed bride, eyes sparkling with hope, grappled with the weight of societal expectations
I also met a few more; among them was a tireless construction worker facing the challenge of a brighter future for his son. An old woman struggling with the demons of loneliness and finding ways to overcome it, then a young widow and a small-town boy. They all had their share of fear, struggles, and challenges to overcome.
While boarding the train, I thought, "Everyone has their own share of challenges Most of us take them up to meet our aspirations, many of which are for survival and a few others for passion But all these weren't roadblocks They are the fuel to propel them forward in their journeys to get what they want "
With that thought in mind, while, exiting the railway station with the sacks of stories, I was busy setting the characters for my new novel - Sketches from a Moving Canvas

eepti tensed as they drove by the mustard fields near a highway in Haryana. The golden flowers waved in the late afternoon sun but Deepti was unmoved by its beauty, the flowers a constant reminder of her horrific past.
Her husband Anubhav who was at the wheel took a look at her expression and it wrenched his heart that her tight scarred face said it all A slight smile was always in place, the final result of a skin graft, one among several Part of both eyebrows were missing and her speech had a bit of a slur Dressed in a simple printed salwar kurta, Deepti’s inner trauma wasn’t visible to the onlooker Corn fields scared her and nauseated her
Only Anubhav knew about it and she gazed at the man who had rescued her; the kindest person in her world Dr Anubhav was a burns specialist who held camps in villages to talk about evils of dowry and was often joined by social activists His fervor regarding the subject, made Deepti‘s heart fill with pride Though she could never verbalize it, Anubhav was her own ‘Superman ’
Twelve years ago, Dr Anubhav had been driving by another village in Haryana The faint light painted a scenic picture of dense ripe fields of corn and mustard on either side of the highway He had stopped to make a call when he heard the keening of some injured animal. Putting on parking lights he decided to investigate. Maybe he could save it. He walked ahead waving the cell phone light in the form of a grid. What he saw froze him in his tracks.
The young girl lay in a fetal position as he bent to check her. She had bruises on her cold hands, but he gasped seeing her face that was an angry mass of raw flesh. Some bastard had poured acid on it! Anubhav knew he had to act fast Infection, blood loss, and so much more could cause her death
He lifted her carefully talking to her constantly heading back to his car She would be alright, he would help her She would be fine, they were going to a safe place, hold on, please He cradled her head against the back seat and phoned a colleague for the nearest specialty hospital Her stillness worried Anubhav She was in shock He held her up and gently poured the drinking water from his bottle to wash some of the chemicals off her face She shrieked then, her hand lashing at
him, making a gurgling sound. Anubhav’s hand shook but he held her firmly talking continuously. Sorry for the pain, she was very brave but would she please bear a little bit more? He placed sterile gauze that he carried for emergencies, over her face gently, saying a prayer.
Later Saloni could never recall a single moment of that day Her psychiatrist said she had repressed it for her own sanity It took two years of hospitals, skin grafts, physiotherapy and counselling sessions to stand without cowering in fear
Though the nightmares stayed But she’d do everything to keep away the demons from taking over her life completely Anubhav had tried to get in touch with her family a month later,but her father’s cold eyes denied that Saloni Alhawat, as she was called earlier, had ever existed A calm man by nature, Anubhav came very close to hitting the older man He recalled a woman crying quietly in the background and the small boy who held on to her with fearful eyes Anubhav had gone back the house and asked for Saloni’s birth certificates that he got along with a bunch of papers and that was it Saloni’s treatment complete, she was now of legal age and could make decisions if needed She was just seventeen when she was burnt and now stood at the brink of choosing a life for herself
Anubhav took her aside one day and asked her what she wanted next
Saloni was silent, her face guilty, sad and angry at the same time
Anubhav surprised himself and blurted out would she consider marrying him?He never thought about the reason but just seeing her put on a brave face every day killed him. He had no family and she needed help in getting by in the world. She had never raged or cried out loud, tolerated pain beyond imagination. Her heart devastated with tremendous loss, Saloni never once spoke of her brother Aarav and mother. One event had wiped out her entire identity.
Saloni had answered his proposal with a simple yes, though she asked time till she graduated He agreed She completed her degree in counselling while undergoing therapy
Life with Saloni changed slowly after marriage A few days into their marriage, she asked to change her name legally to Deepti She would learn about survivors like herself, and how to counsel them through anxiety and depression It would help bury some of her past ghosts
They lived as friends who were getting to know each other For Anubhav, it was a new feeling and he looked forward to going home and seeing Deepti, hoping marriage would bring them closer
Her psychiatrist had warned him to be patient so she could heal her own self He wondered what went on in her mind Living together they never even held hands or had any kind of intimate conversation On some days, Deepti accompanied him to his clinic that specialized in critical care, asking questions about patients, their families and the therapy they would undergo That day Anubhav got a call from his clinic asking him to hurry back The nurse called him about an emergency burns victim
Deepti waited asAnubhav rushed in It was almost 8 pm After stabilizing the girl, a survivor of second degree burns, Anu explained how she had over thirty percent burns and her chances of survival were tough as she was malnourished with a low hemoglobin count It was a dowry case and the police came, taking statements from a relative who showed little sympathy Anubhav watched Deepti as she hung around listening to the conversation her eyes barely able to suppress her rage.
What would happen to the girl once she woke up and found herself alone? The question haunted them. The presence of one person made the difference to the survivor’s well-being and recovery.
He watched now as Deepti took off the mask she always wore in public. He had heard cruel comments about her face and it hurt knowing that he couldn’t protect her all the time The burns victim was sedated and on a high dose of painkillers
“I’ll stay here for the night, if it’s okay ” Deepti told him “I’ll be late but if you’re sure of this, ask the nurse to point you to the break room and grab a nap ” Anubhav added “you’ll be of more use to her if you’re rested ” Deepti was relieved to see Anubhav go along with her She felt a kinship with the girl and wanted to meet her She wasn’t sure what she could achieve but if she could a difference then she would try As Anubhav turned to go Deepti called out
“What’s her name?”
“It’s Salma, come with me, I’ll show you her chart ”
They stood outside the room where Salma lay connected with tubes and sheets on her burnt skin Anu explained that they would consider skin substitutes like cell-scaffolds to enhance healing The room was sealed off to prevent sepsis, and the doctor wore protective equipment to go inside Deepti stood reading the chart and thinking of the frail body trying to hold on to life
She smiled her lopsided smile. Saloni and Salma. Maybe she was destined to help another Saloni. She thanked the universe for bringing Anubhav into her life.
She would hold on to him and heal
Looking at Salma through the glass she whispered as if Salma could hear her
“I’m here if you need me you’re not alone in this, Salma Hold on, one day at a time My name is Deepti We’ll heal together and you will breathe on your own I can share my story if you’ll hear me ”She waited
At the reception a young man asked for Dr Anubhav He said his name was Aarav Alhawat.

Hi! I am Nikita and I am a Content Writer. I reside in Mumbai where people see and know how to fulfill their dreams. Being a Mumbaikar, I learnt how to work on my dreams and I have been successful in making my dreams come true. Everything was going well with my work I was promoted in my corporate office for which I was working for the last many years as a Content Writer I got a raise in my salary and my happiness knew no bounds I was designated as an Executive Content Writer and earned a handsome salary at the end of the month
I was helping my family financially and emotionally All of a sudden, everything went topsy-turvy As I was working on the content, an email popped up on the screen of my desktop and I was shell-shocked to read the mail It said that from now onwards, all content writers have to use an AI tool known and every content manually AI score has to be 100% All these years, we writers used to check our content in a plagiarism checker tool and send our content to the clients Writing, editing and re-editing the same content till the AI score seemed next to impossible for us We all writers had to use the same AI tool and write, check and re-write In the beginning, writing seemed to be too difficult for us There are a total of 10 Content Writers in the writing department of our office Eight content writers resigned from their jobs because they could not meet the desired AI score. I was left along with another colleague of mine who shared the same designation of mine. I tried our best to meet the AI score. Unfortunately, I had to give up because meeting every article with a 100% AI score seemed to be a difficult task for me. Still, I tried for 10 days. Eventually, I had no option but to surrender and resign from my position. I never thought that time was when I used to be so passionate about my profession. With the advent of 100% AI score, writing one article turned out to be so tough for me My work for which I was so passionate about gave me ill-health I started falling sick, as somewhere deep down my heart, I was broken I fell into the pit of depression
I went to give resignation, but it was not accepted The reason is that I was one of the efficient employees in my department My seniors did not want to lose my skills Hence, they said to take a month's break and return to my work again In one month, I was depressed at times Other times, I used to read motivational books to get motivation Somewhere deep in my heart, I knew I had to get back my confidence which was shattered because of losing my job due to AI I
kept thinking why can't I write AI-free content? I started practicing my skills I started doing part-time writing work for one month I told myself I had to come back with a bang!
Today, I am sitting in my beautifully designed cubicle where my designation is "AI Content Writer-- Nikita Patil ' Yes, I am the same girl who wanted to quit her job because of AI Today, I made myself adapt to AI and I am working with confidence This became possible because I knew that changes are a part of life and I have to learn to embrace the change Else, I will not survive in this challenging and competitive world Every new thing seems to be difficult in the beginning We think that quitting is the only option But no! "Pain after pain after pain", might seem like a movie story
Until it happens to oneself
"Tired of being tired", is a cursed state
Fatigue choosing to stay in your body, mind, rent-free
A dreamer, wanderer, seeker with unhealed wings
Too many skies, ache deep without a flight
Not every pain, is visible
Not every smile, is without hidden tears
"Not looking like being in pain", a boon and a bane
Not everyone will identify your bruises, scars within
Not everyone is kinder to not judge you, assume things...
Despite it all, I know am blooming
Gratitude is the lamp that lights my tunnels
Art, handholds in my trudging, healing
Words I weave, brought healer souls closer
Connections turned soulful, "my tribe" found Conversations watered my parched heart
The universe heals in unexpected ways...
Often pitied being, "only child", while Life gifted brothers, sisters from another womb
I shower myself with love, kindness to be my own therapy
Being a reason for someone's smile, hope
Fills my heart with peace, and calm
I write inspiried by the universe, mentored by pain
Writing is my way of loving, healing others
What if the ocean of life
Sends wave after wave to test Pain chisels, sculpts me into a walking breathing statue of hope
I survive, to dive deep for pearls I become the ocean, that dreams and dares.

I unburden my thoughts, and you unburden yours, we bear witness for a few minutes as we stroll around the block, and our laughter slows everything down. Then, it is time to run to work, but now, we can do it.
