Acorns

Spring is in the air, spring is everywhere!

The Acorns have had such a wonderful fun filled, bright and happy week.

The week began with us reading some beautiful farm books filled with poetry to celebrate National poetry day. The children can repeat some of the familiar phrases and are learning to listen for words that sound the same.

The chicks have been a source of delight for the Acorns and sadly we have to say goodbye to them soon. The Acorns have looked after the chicks so well and we are proud of them for listening and handling them so gently.

Forest school was all about jumping in muddy puddles. It was brilliant! Good job we had wellies and waterproofs on! In keeping with our farm focus, the children were able to enjoy the mobile farm that arrived and was set up near the Boathouse. It was a very special morning petting and learning about the different animals. The farm experience ended by rolling down the grassy bank which was awesome.

Only one week to go before the Easter break, and I wonder if the Easter bunny will make an appearance.
