On this Summer 2016 edition, the 5th since Style in Mallorca was first released on the market, we have kept making changes with the purpose of improving and, above all, offering interesting and enjoyable content to our readers.

Para esta edición de verano 2016, la 5º desde que Style in Mallorca salió al mercado, hemos seguido realizando cambios con la idea de mejorar y sobre todo, ofrecer contenido interesante y agradable para nuestros lectores.

In dieser Sommerausgabe 2016, die fünfte seit Style in Mallorca auf dem Markt gekommen ist, haben wir weitere Veränderungen durchgeführt, mit dem Ziel, uns zu verbessern und insbesondere um unseren Lesern interessante und ansprechende Inhalte zu bieten.

Comenzó como un pasatiempo durante sus años de Universidad, el modelaje pronto se convirtió en su pasión y devoción, así como un trabajo a tiempo completo. Trabajó en Francia, Italia, España, Alemania, Suiza, Países Bajos, Bélgica, Grecia, Hong Kong etc. Su portfolio cuenta con portadas de varias revistas, así como editoriales de Vogue y Harper´s Bazaar Ucrania, Woman magazine en Ucrania, InCover magazine España etc., numerosos desfiles de moda, campañas de marcas y catálogos. Graduada en historia del arte, Anna disfruta viajando extensamente y experimentando diferentes culturas, siempre visita museos y exposiciones, busca impresiones no turísticas y joyas escondidas en cada lugar, toma fotos de sus viajes y le encanta participar en proyectos artísticos poco convencionales.

This beach is the last well-preserved nonurbanized stretch of sand in Mallorca. Along with Es Salobrar de Campos it forms a 1,492-hectare (3,987-acre) protected area. It is one of the most visited virgin locations during the summer weekends.

Esta playa es el último gran arenal sin urbanizar y bien conservado de Mallorca. Con Es Salobrar de Campos forma una área protegida de 1.492 hectáreas. Es uno de los espacios vírgenes más concurridos durante los fines semanas estivales.

Within Es Trenc we will find several areas – a nudist area, an enclave for the general public and an area called Ses Covetes, which connects with a stretch of sand called Sa Rápita that has a pedestrian access from the yacht club bearing the same name.

Dentro de Es Trenc, encontraremos varias zonas una nudista, un enclave para todos los públicos y un área denominada Ses Covetes, ésta a su vez se junta con el arenal de Sa Rápita, teniendo también un acceso peatonal desde el Club Náutico del mismo nombre.

Dieser Strand ist die letzte große Sandfläche, die unbebaut und gut bewahrt ist. Zusammen mit Es Salobrar von Campos bildet dieser Strand ein 1492 Hektar großes Naturschutzgebiet. Er gehört zu den an den Sommerwochenenden meist besuchten naturbelassenen Orten. Der lange Strand, an dem Sie mehrere FKK-Abschnitte vorfinden, ist ein geeigneter Ort für alle Besucher. Der Abschnitt namens Ses Covetes verschmilzt wiederum mit der Sandfläche Sa Rápita, von deren gleichnamigen Sporthafen Club Náutico Sa Rápita Sie zu Fuss zu dem genannten Strandabschnitt gelangen können.

allorca is not only perceived as a wonderful paradise for relaxation and leisure, but also as a modern land that has been able to fully adapt to current times without losing its essence. Furthermore, the foreign community living on our island feel it like an idyllic place to live, where integrating and feeling like just another neighbour is easy thanks to the welcoming trait of Mallorcans. On the other hand, in my years in the European Parliament in which I have dealt with tourism matters, Mallorca is always an example of society and of a competitive economy, that has reached significant levels of prosperity and development. Mallorca has managed to create its own brand, well recognized and valued in an environment such as tourism, that is as globalized as it is competitive, in which we are a model, not only for Europe, but for the world. This development and success model have a special merit if we consider we have a disadvantage when compared to other regions due to our condition of being an insular region. It is a model that bets on quality, which means a sustainable environment, constant embellishment, training, new technologies, connectivity and world-class services. Handicaps and overhead costs related to our insularity make it harder for us to attain, and even more so to maintain, this level of success and social wellbeing when compared to other regions.

allorca no solo se percibe como un paraíso maravilloso para el descanso y el ocio, sino también como una tierra moderna, y que ha sabido adaptarse plenamente a los nuevos tiempos sin perder su esencia. Además la comunidad extranjera que reside en nuestra isla la siente como un lugar idílico para vivir, y donde es muy fácil integrarse y sentirse como un vecino más gracias al carácter acogedor de los mallorquines. Por otra parte, en mis años en el Parlamento Europeo en los que he tratado temas de turismo, Mallorca siempre es un ejemplo de sociedad y economía competitiva, y que ha alcanzado niveles de prosperidad y desarrollo muy elevados. Mallorca ha conseguido crear una marca propia muy reconocida y valorada en un ámbito tan globalizado y competitivo como es el turismo, en el que somos un referente no solo europeo, sino mundial. Este desarrollo y este modelo de éxito tienen un mérito especial si tenemos en cuenta que partimos con desventaja con respecto a otras regiones debido a nuestra situación de región insular. Es un modelo que apuesta por la calidad, lo cual significa medio ambiente sostenible, embellecimiento permanente, formación, nuevas tecnologías, conectividad y servicios de primer orden. Los hándicaps y los sobrecostes ligados a la insularidad que padecemos hacen que nos cueste más que a otras regiones alcanzar, y aún más mantener, estas cotas de éxito y de bienestar social.

allorca nimmt sich nicht nur als ein zauberhaftes Paradies für Erholung und Entspannung, sondern auch als ein modernes Land wahr, das es verstanden hat, sich voll und ganz den neuen Zeiten anzupassen, ohne seine Essenz zu verlieren. Die ausländische Gemeinschaft, die auf unserer Insel wohnt, empfindet sie zudem als idyllischen Ort zum Leben, wo es sehr einfach ist, sich zu integrieren und sich dank des gastfreundlichen Charakters der Mallorquiner als ein Bewohner mehr zu fühlen. Während meiner Jahre im Europäischen Parlament, wo ich Angelegenheiten des Fremdenverkehrs behandelt habe, wird Mallorca zudem immer als ein Beispiel für eine wettbewerbsfähige Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft angeführt, wo ein sehr hohes Niveau an Wohlstand und Entwicklung erzielt worden ist. Mallorca ist es gelungen, in einem derart globalisierten und vom Wettbewerb geprägten Bereich wie der Tourismus eine eigene, renommierte und hoch angesehene Marke zu schaffen. Im Tourismus sind wir ein Maßstab, nicht nur auf europäischer Ebene, sondern weltweit. Dieser Entwicklung und diesem Erfolgsmodell kommt eine besondere Wertstellung zu, wenn wir bedenken, dass wir gegenüber anderen Regionen aufgrund unserer Insellage eine benachteiligte Ausgangsposition haben. Es ist ein Modell, das auf Qualität setzt, d.h. auf Nachhaltigkeit in Umweltfragen, ständige Verschönerung, Bildung, neue Technologien, Verbindungen und erstklassige Dienstleistungen. Die mit der Insellage verbundenen Handicaps und Mehrkosten, unter denen wir leiden, führen dazu, dass es für uns schwieriger als für andere Regionen ist, derartige Erfolgsquoten und Standards an sozialem Wohlstand zu erreichen und mehr noch diese beizubehalten. Aus diesem Grund haben die Vertreter der Politik und der organisierten Bürgerschaft die Verantwortung, die europäischen Institutionen für diese Probleme zu sensibilisieren. Wir müssen dafür arbeiten, dass die Gesetzgebung und die Maßnahmen, die auf europäischer Ebene verabschiedet werden,

This is the reason why we political representatives, and those of the organized civil society, have the responsibility of sensitizing European Institutions in regards to these issues. We must work for laws and measures adopted at an EU level that help us ameliorate the issues associated with insularity so that we can compete on a basis of equal conditions and keep moving towards a sustainable development. Our society, which may well be one of the most open and welcoming in Europe, still keeps its Europeanist role intact. Our islands have always bet on the European project, and for over 30 years it has been a boost for us to keep growing and enjoying the wellbeing we have achieved.

Por ello los representantes políticos y los de la sociedad civil organizada tenemos la responsabilidad de sensibilizar a las Instituciones Europeas sobre estos problemas. Debemos trabajar para que la legislación y las medidas que se adopten a nivel de la UE nos ayuden a paliar los problemas asociados a la insularidad para que podamos competir en igualdad de condiciones y seguir avanzando en un desarrollo sostenible. Nuestra sociedad que probablemente sea una de las más abiertas y acogedoras de Europa sigue manteniendo su vocación europeísta intacta. Nuestras islas siempre han apostado por el proyecto europeo y éste ha sido desde hace más de 30 años un impulso para que podamos seguir creciendo y disfrutando del bienestar que hemos alcanzado.

ort d’Andratx for its name in Mallorcan, went from being a fishermen’s harbour to being one of the most important tourist centres in Mallorca. The cosmopolitan features of this port make it a cheerful, modern place, visited by people looking for peace and a bit of luxury. Puerto de Andratx has a hotel infrastructure and offers a quite varied gastronomy. If you like sunsets, this port is the perfect spot. Don’t forget to climb up to the Sant Elm lookout point to enjoy the most beautiful view of the Sa Dragonera Island and the bluest blues in all of the Mediterranean. If you like nature, you may also visit the Sa Dragonera Island, just 5 km. (3 mi.) away from this wonderful port. In it you will find nature, leisure, peace, and the unmistakable lizards that give this small island its name.

Los rasgos cosmopolitas de este puerto hacen que sea un lugar alegre, moderno y ser visitado por personas que buscan la tranquilidad y un poco de lujo. El Puerto de Andratx, cuenta con infraestructuras hoteleras y ofrece una gastronomía muy variada. Si eres de los que te gustan las puestas de sol este puerto es el lugar perfecto, no olvides subir al mirador Sant Elm para tener la vista más bonita de Isla de Sa Dragonera y los azules más azules de todo el mediterráneo. Si te gustan los parajes naturales puedes también puedes visitar la isla de Sa Dragonera a escasos 5 km. orn in Palma de Mallorca, he begun studying in the year 2002 at the ARS NOVA fashion design school in Palma.

During his studies, he interned at designer José Miró’s collections for the Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, and also assisted in the organization of the Mahón-Menorca EURO-BIJOUX ACCESSORIES fashion show. Once he finished his studies, he was granted a scholarship and departed for Madrid to work with designer Fernando Lemoniez in the 2007 autumn/winter collection. Upon his return to Mallorca, he was tasked with the organization of the I Pasarela Calvià, and on that same year he was a wardrobe stylist for many advertising campaigns.

Durante sus estudios realizó prácticas en las colecciones del diseñador José Miró para la Pasarela Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week y también fue ayudante en la organización de la Pasarela EURO-BIJOUX ACCESSORIES, Mahón- Menorca. Cuando acabó los estudios le otorgaron una beca y se fue a Madrid a trabajar con el diseñador Fernando Lemoniez, en la colección otoño/invierno 2007, al regresar a Mallorca le encargaron la organización de la I Pasarela Calvià, y ese mismo año realizo estilismos para varias campañas publicitarias.

Juanma Torres is currently focused on evening and bride dresses on request; he loves to treat fabrics with hand-crafted dyes and make all details of the dresses by hand, caring for even the slightest detail on each of his creations.

Actualmente Juanma Torres está enfocado en vestidos de fiesta y novia por encargo, le encanta tratar el tejido con la tinturación artesanal y realizar todos los detalles de los vestidos a mano, cuidando hasta el mas mínimo detalle en cada una de sus creaciones.

er in Palma de Mallorca geborene Designer begann im Jahre 2002 seine Ausbildung an der Modedesignschule ARS NOVA in Palma. Während seiner Ausbildung machte er ein Praktikum bei den Kollektionen des Designers José Miró für die Modenschau Cibeles Fashion Week und assistierte bei der Organisation der Modenschau EURO-BIJOUX ACCESSORIES, Mahón- Menorca. Nach Abschluss seiner Ausbildung erhielt er ein Stipendium und begab sich nach Madrid, um dort mit dem Designer Fernando Lemoniez in der Herbst-Winter-Kollektion 2007 zu arbeiten. Wieder zurück auf Mallorca wurde ihm die Organisation der ersten Modenschau Calvià übertragen und im selben Jahr übernahm er das Styling für verschiedene Werbekampagnen. Im Jahre 2008 beauftragte ihn der Spanische Dyslexie-Verband mit der Anfertigung von einem Kleid und demselben nochmal für die berühmte spanische Puppe Mariquita Pérez. Derzeit konzentriert sich Juanma Torres auf in Auftrag gegebene Abend- und Brautkleider. Er liebt es, den Stoff mit kunsthandwerklicher Färbung zu behandeln und sämtliche Details an den Kleidern per Hand durchzuführen, wobei er selbst das kleinste Detail aller seiner Kreationen sorgfältig pflegt.

I’m Mallorcan; I lived in Mallorca until I was 17, but I had to leave for the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (High Performance Centre) at Sant Cugat del Vallés, since that is where the national team trains. It wasn’t easy to adapt; when I was 33 I decided to return to start new projects. My sport goals had already been achieved, and it was time to start a new life.

Soy mallorquina, he vivido hasta los 17 años en Mallorca pero me tuve que marchar al Centro de Alto Rendimiento de Sant Cugat del Vallés, pues el equipo nacional entrena allí. No fue una adaptación fácil, a los 33 años, decidí volver para empezar con nuevos proyectos. Mis objetivos deportivos ya estaban cumplidos y era hora de comenzar otra vida nueva.

How Were Your Experiences At The Olympics ? It’s one of the best experiences an athlete could have. I’ve lived three very different experiences. On the first one, Athens 2004, I had chances for a medal and I lost on the first round, resulting in disappointment and sadness taking hold of me. But within a few months I got motivated again and got back to training hard. I couldn’t participate in China 2008 due to an injury; it was the hardest hit it took during my career as an athlete; after 4 years everything was cut short; but I kept fighting. In London 2012, I arrived full of energy. My intention was for everyone to witness my best Taekwondo. In the end I got the silver medal; it was incredible for me and for everyone who knew my sports history.

Is It Difficult Getting To Be A World Champion In Taekwondo? It’s very hard to be a World Champion at any discipline, but it is even harder to achieve it on more than one occasion. In addition to being awarded the London 2012 Silver Olympic Medal, I have been awarded 9 world championship medals (4 Golds, 2 Silvers and 3 Bronzes). Being part of the world’s elite for 21 years in a row, that is indeed hard, and it’s what I’m the most proud of, because it has left a mark in history, since I’m the woman with the most world medals in Taekwondo. ¿ Que Tal Tu Experiencia En Unas Olimpiadas ? Es una de las mejores experiencias que puede tener un deportista. Yo he vivido tres muy diferentes, la primera Athenas 2004, tenía opciones de medalla y perdí en primera ronda, con lo que la desilusión y tristeza se apoderaron de mi, pero en pocos meses volví a motivarme y a entrenar duro. En China 2008, no pude participar por una lesión, fue el golpe más duro que tuve en mi carrera deportiva, tras 4 años preparándome, todo se trunco, pero seguí luchando. En Londres 2012, llegue cargada de energía , mi intención era el conseguir que todos viesen mi mejor taekwondo. Al final conseguí la medalla de plata, fue increíble para mí y para todos los que conocían mi historia deportiva.

¿ Es Muy Difícil Llegar A Ser Campeona Del Mundo En Taekwondo? Es muy difícil llegar a ser Campeón del Mundo en cualquier disciplina, pero lo más difícil es conseguirlo en más de una ocasión. Yo, he conseguido aparte de la medalla de Plata Olímpica en Londres 2012, 9 medallas mundiales, (4 Oros, 2 Platas y 3 Bronces), estar en la élite mundial durante 21 años consecutivos, eso si que es difícil y de eso es de lo que más orgullosa estoy, porque ha marcado historia , ya que soy la mujer con más medallas mundiales en el taekwondo. Bei meiner ersten Olympiade in Athen 2004 hätte ich eine Medaille bekommen können und verlor dann in der ersten Runde. Enttäuschung und Traurigkeit überwältigten mich. Aber nach wenigen Monaten schaffte ich es, mich neu zu motivieren und trainierte sehr hart. In China 2008 konnte ich wegen einer Verletzung nicht teilnehmen. Das war der härteste Schlag in meiner sportlichen Laufbahn. Nachdem ich mich vier Jahre vorbereitet hatte, zerplatzte ein Traum, aber ich kämpfte weiter. In Londen 2012 kam ich energiegeladen an. Ich hatte die Absicht, es zu schaffen, allen mein bestes Taekwondo zu zeigen. Am Ende gewann ich eine Silbermedaille. Das war unglaublich, für mich und für alle, die meine sportliche Laufbahn kannten.

Ist es sehr schwer, Weltmeisterin in Taekwondo zu werden? In jeder Disziplin ist es sehr schwer, Weltmeister zu werden, aber am schwierigsten ist es, es nicht nur einmal zu schaffen. Außer der Silbermedaille bei der Olympiade in London 2012 habe ich insgesamt 7 Medaillen bei Weltmeisterschaften (4 Goldmedaillen, 2 Silbermedaillen und 3 Bronzemedaillen) erzielt und ich habe es geschafft, 21 Jahre hintereinander zur Elite zu gehören. Das zu schaffen ist schwer und das ist es auch, worauf ich am meisten stolz bin, denn es hat Geschichte geschrieben. Schließlich bin ich die Frau mit den meisten Weltmeisterschaftgsmedaillen im Taekwondo.

e are a group of friends; some don’t live in Mallorca, but distance doesn’t stop us from exchanging stories about our daily lives. Every once in a while we get together, and this time around we did at the Cristal de Palma bar. Antonia had broken up with her couple several months ago due to a shortage of magic, passion and sex. But her “boyfriend” had started dating someone else, and this had triggered an uncontrollable jealousy on our friend, to the point of thinking she had made a mistake by leaving him.

ir sind eine Gruppe von Freundinnen, von denen einige nicht auf Mallorca wohnen, aber die Entfernung hindert uns nicht daran, die Geschichten, die wir täglich erleben, auszutauschen. Dann und wann verabreden wir uns und diesmal war der Treffpunkt die Bar Cristal in Palma. Antonia hatte sich vor einigen Monaten von ihrem Partner getrennt, weil der Zauber, die Leidenschaft und der Sex nicht mehr stimmten. Aber ihr „Freund“ hatte begonnen, sich mit einer anderen zu treffen und das hat bei unserer Freundin eine derartige Eifersucht ausgelöst, dass sie meinte, dass es ein Fehler gewesen war, sich von ihm zu trennen.

After pulling a few moves, Antonia got her ex-boyfriend back, and after the victory came the realization… her ex was worse than she remembered!!!!

Tras algunas maniobras, Antonia recupero a su exnovio y después del triunfo, vino el desengaño, ¡¡¡su ex era peor de lo que recordaba!!!!.

So, my dear friends, watch out for the Mazinger effect that makes us fall in the trap of desiring what we had discarded. If something squeezes you… it’s not your size.

Así que queridas amigas cuidado con el efecto Mazinger que nos hace caer en la trampa de desear lo que habíamos descartado. Si algo aprieta…no es tu talla.

Nach einigen geschickten Manövern hatte Antonia ihren Ex-Freund zurückerobert und nach dem Triumpf kam die Ernüchterung. Ihr Ex war noch schlimmer, als sie es in Erinnerung hatte!!! Also liebe Freundinnen, Vorsicht mit dem Mazinger-Effekt, der uns in die Falle tappen lässt, etwas herbeizusehnen, was wir schon verworfen hatten.
