Powerful, endlessly energetic, and a bit romantic, the Year of the Dragon is here! Here’s everything you need to know about this powerful figure. ARE YOU A DRAGON?
If you were born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, or 2012, you were born in a Dragon Year! The next one won’t be until 2036, so make sure you join the festivities when the Lunar New Year celebrations begin on February 1.
DRAGON CHARACTERISTICS
Dragons are seen as magnificent leaders who are confident, generous, idealistic, and ambitious. They’re very secure, independent thinkers, who are also very wise, adventurous, and love a bit of romance. People born in the Year of the Dragon love being around others but may have a tendency to be domineering and impulsive when they’re feeling down.
FAMOUS DRAGONS
It’s no surprise that some very influential people were born in the Year of the Dragon. Some well-known Dragons are Reese Witherspoon, Rihanna, Adele, John Lennon, Bruce Lee, and Martin Luther King Jr. The incomparable Michelle Obama was also born in a Dragon Year, so it’s safe to say that if you were born in the Year of the Dragon, you’ve got some pretty incredible companions.
INTERESTING FACTS
In Chinese culture, Dragons are considered to be a sacred mythical animal. They represent power and can control typhoons, water, rainfall, and floods. Their lucky colours are cyan blue and purple, and their lucky numbers are 6 and 8.
WHAT’S IN STORE FOR 2024?
Dragons may face more than a few challenges and setbacks throughout the year, which certainly won’t feel great as they’re happening. However, if you stay focused on your goals and work through each road block when it comes your way, you’ll end the year feeling better than ever!
