We chat with centre stylist, Eliza Grace, about her interior top tips, must-have pieces, and the latest trends this spring season.
After graduating from my studies in interior design, I worked in multiple aspects of the industry from tiles to kitchens and bathrooms, to styling and new home builds too. I developed skills throughout a multitude of areas that gave me confidence to create my own interior design business covering all aspects of interior design, decorating and styling.
I describe my style as light, feminine and classic. I feel that I don’t gravitate to one design style in particular but take inspiration from the classic elements of Hamptons style and the light and bright colour palette of coastal homes. You’ll usually find elements of brushed gold, white linen, subtle yet contrasting black, oak timber, and a pop of blush pink in my designs.
Colour is back in a big way in home decorating, and I am so excited about it! Not only are we seeing it in home décor pieces, but large furniture items such as armchairs and sofas too. I’m also loving Mediterranean style homewares and tableware pieces, especially for creating beautiful tablescapes and entertaining.
As we are entering the warmer months and entertaining season, I think investing in some beautiful new colourful placemats, glassware and statement dinnerware to nail the perfect soirée.
Spring is all about embracing colour, decluttering your space, and making way for lighter fabrics. Replace your existing decorative cushions with some new linen cushions in a variety of neutral shades and a pop of sage green or baby blue. Store away any heavier throw blankets and replace them with soft, cotton throws and spritz your furniture with a freshly scented linen spray.
We offer complimentary styling sessions where I help customers decorate, style, and select furniture pieces for their home. They’re one hour sessions and completely free. It’s a great opportunity to pick a designer’s brain on all your styling dilemmas.
Emphasising simplicity, symmetry, and the use of classical motifs, the mid-century modern trend has been hailed as one to watch by interior designers across the globe. The trend embraces the best of ethereal and classical details whilst maintaining a contemporary approach with functional and organic furnishings.
I love layering a variety of warm tones when styling a space in a mid-century modern way to add depth and interest.
The mid-century modern design style embraces functional furniture that has a purpose and avoids frills. Choose furniture pieces that have sleek curves and are solid in structure to ground your space and allow your decorative accents to shine.

FURNITURE
Arabella Mirror $269
The harmonious hues of brown, rust, and dusty pink paired with ceramic and marble textures is the epitome of this trend. Opt for sculptural and ornate decorative accents, organic-shaped vases and lamps, sleek furnishings, and a statement rug to complete the look.
Choose colours such as rich brown, gooey caramel, buttery beige and soft blush for a cohesive look.
Incorporating an abundance of fauna and flora, spring tablescaping is all about creating a refreshed and relaxed mood whether it be indoors or out. This season we’re drifting towards a more pared back colour palette with pops of green and gold reflected in cutlery, napery, and other table accoutrements.
Creating a stunning spring tablescape will be a breeze when you utilise these key elements.
Tulips, hydrangeas, and extra greenery is going to give that garden-to-table feel and make the space feel extra stylised.
Additional texture in placemats and napery will create visual interest. This is where additional colour can be added like pops of sage or pastel green.
Layering your plates and bowls will give a sophisticated effect. Be sure to stick with ceramic plates to keep the colour scheme tonal.
Quality glassware and elevated gold-toned cutlery is going to complete the look, show your guests you care about the finer details, and can create a formal or informal setting.
Biophilic design emerges as a prominent trend this spring, seeking to establish a harmonious connection between your living spaces and the natural world –employing earthy tones, textures, and enhanced lighting. Biophilic design not only embraces elements of nature but also breathes new air into your home offering a diverse range of health benefits.
Invite the essence of the outdoors, in, by incorporating nature-inspired textiles such as rattan, bamboo, and wood, along with organic-shaped decorative items and earthy artwork. This will elevate the connectivity to your natural environment within your living space.

Don’t be afraid to embrace natural elements as they will never go out of style.”
To really get the most out of this trend I suggest adding statement pieces in natural finishes and textures. This could be as simple as a large jute rug in your living room, or a timber and rattan dining chair paired with a rustic timber table.
Layer shades of green
Green is the perfect colour to pair with natural elements as it evokes a feeling of nature and brings the outdoors in. My favourite shades of green are soft sage or deep olive and I love pairing them together to create a contrasting look. Try this by layering a few decorative cushions on your sofa or creating a vignette with some colourful vases.
From luxurious kitchen utensils to eclectic décor, here are are the housewarming gifts to consider this spring.
Colour is huge in interiors at the moment and the perfect way to dip your toes in is through small accessories and decorative accents. I love adding a brightly coloured coffee table book to any surface or layering a colourful cushion combination to freshen up a sofa.
Luxury small appliances are the perfect housewarming gift as they are not something we often splurge on for ourselves. Kitchens are predominately neutral in colour, so appliances are my favourite way of adding a pop of colour to the space. I suggest a soft baby blue or sage green colour that will suit any home.

Incorporating unique furniture pieces with sculptural appeal has been a trend on the rise. The concept is about enhancing the aesthetic of the space with eyecatching sculptures as a focal design element. Think abstract art installations, creatively designed furniture, and curved lines.
When adding a statement sculptural piece to your space, ensure your other elements are toned down and subdued. A key component of interior design is selecting one statement piece in the room and paring back the rest to make it shine.
Consider incorporating curved lamps, organic chairs and stools, arched mirrors, and striking tables to master the trend.

Create a sculptural vignette
Create a vignette of sculptural pieces to add a statement and focal point to areas such as your kitchen island bench, a buffet table or dining table centrepiece. Group three vases in various heights that have unique shapes for a sculptural look and interesting talking points.
Curves have been a huge trend in the home decorating space for a while now and it looks as though they are here to stay! Use curves in an unexpected way such as a curved back sofa, an oblong-shaped dining table or a uniquely shaped dining chair to create a focal point in any space.
A child’s room offers the ideal canvas to let your creativity run free – it’s fun, colourful, and full of energy. The current trend in kids’ interiors is all about versatility, making the space feel gender-fluid and easily adaptable as your child grows.
A kid’s room is the perfect space in your home to go bold and embrace your child’s creativity and energy. Use bright colours, fun shapes, and interesting textures to create the most inspiring space in your home.
The walls of a kid’s bedroom are a place to have fun and draw the eye upwards.
Bed linen is the perfect place to create a fun colour combination or play with patterns in a kid’s bedroom. Whether they are obsessed with dogs, fairies or the outdoors, there is a linen combination that will suit them. I love pairing a pattern on the quilt cover with a solid colour on the sheets and extending the colour palette to the decorative cushions and pillowslips too.

SleepMaker Tencel Mattress Protector Pack POA
From bedside tables and occasional chairs to artwork and toys, stick with an overall colour palette like orange and green when it comes to the kids’ room. Add additional pieces that can be replaced over time but opt for high-quality staples that will last throughout the years – rugs, bed frames, armchairs, and bedside tables should be purchased with longevity in mind.
SLEEPY’S
A piece of art can truly make or break a room. Not only does artwork enhance the beauty and aesthetic of a home but it also sparks inspiration and shows off your personality.
