Carlene & Michael Duffy How would you define your design aesthetic as a couple? It’s a meeting of styles so it ends up being fairly eclectic. It’s a good mash up of old and new and modern and traditional, of clean lines and ornate profiles. Your ideal home colour palette? I love my blues and greens in home interiors across the board. They are calming colours and are most effectively used in various tones. We infuse them into most spaces in our home. How do you style your bedside tables? Simply. Three is the magic number when styling a bedside table. A bedside lamp is key and provides height for aesthetics, a decorative bowl to hold jewellery is functional and looks good and a small vase with florals is always a good idea.

Guest Bedroom Edit What homely essentials do you include when styling your guest bedroom? Extra blankets, essential oils, a burner, an armchair, storage, and heating and cooling for ultimate homely comfort.
Include a splash of vintage for a touch of soul. Sometimes a guest bedroom can be an accumulation of leftovers which is fine as long those pieces work together harmoniously.

Think about how much space you have in your child’s bedroom and consider their current height and growth in the future. Is there enough room for a double bed, or only a single? Will they need a desk or reading nook to nourish their little brains? Plan ahead!

sanctuary; somewhere they can sleep, rest, play and learn.
Mark the roof to align with the centre of the bed. Thread the curtain around the hoop. Cut four small holes in curtain at four even points around the hoop to thread twine through. Take the four pieces of twine and tie them to the hoop. Then tie four pieces of twine together at the top, adjusting as needed so the hoop will hang straight. Attach twine to hook on the roof. Half way down the curtain cut two small holes at opening and tie back with ribbon.
