PORTFOLIO

ABOUT ME The decision to pursue a careeer in Interior Design came long before I moved to United States. As an aspiring student in Nepal, I realized that design was not only a passion but also something I wanted to do professionally. After 3 years of design school in New Delhi, India, and almost 3 years of professional work, I have never been more satisfied by the decision, and aspire to learn even more from the opportunities that lie ahead of me.

Residence The hand rendered edition of the residential design is inspired from South Asian Home Decors. The house is designed with 4 bedrooms with a relaxed and cosy design, an open concept for kitchen and dining area, and a formal living room with a traditional style to entertain guests.

Bathroom The use of purple on the walls gives the bathroom a rich look while the floral decals provide a fresher feel. The use of tile with a detailed border can be seen on the floor. The small partial wall made out of glass and wood provides a separation between the bathtub and the rest of the space.

Costa coffee The coffee shop has a minimalist design with a modern yet cozy look through out the space. The wide windows provide the customers a view to the outdoors while providing natural light to the shop. The use of rattan furnitures & the red & green upholstery on seat cushions brings warmth to the entire space.

NATYA MAndala Dance institute The Dance Institute was inspired by the traditional dance forms of India. As soon as you enter the building you are greeted by a colorful peacock and big mural of warli art behind the reception area, both of which represent the rich culture of India. The institute has a U-shaped building which opens up to a big courtyard that lead to an open amphitheatre at the back. The courtyard houses a cafeteria where students can relax and enjoy fresh air.
