We are stoked and excited to bring to you yet another issue of South Asian Entertainment Magazine. This month, the team has tried to create an eclectic mix of the content from various genres to entertain the readers and take them on an immersive journey. We have a spotlight on Darb Lall, a fitness enthusiast who is helping people achieve their dream bodies. Our special feature on Halloween will help you come up with ways by which your kids can celebrate the spooky night with safety and still have as much fun. They say success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work gains success. This quote fits perfectly every time I talk about Darb Lall. A personal trainer based out of Surrey who not only has made his own fitness goals come to life but is also helping others to find their calling and become the best, fittest version of themselves.

SAE Magazine: What are your personal fitness goals? Darb: When I first started working out, my fitness goals were set around how I looked. I trained, ate, and did everything to find a way to look better. I know a lot of people can relate to this. As I’ve matured through life and in the gym, my goals have shifted to be more functional, athletic, and stronger each passing day. I work out anywhere from 5-6 times a week which helps to maintain a healthy body and mind. I find that working out and staying active helps to keep my mental health constantly improving. My long-term fitness goal is to continue to be able to use my body comfortably as I get older.

SAE Magazine: How important do you think customer service is to this job? Darb: I believe customer service is important in any field regardless of the profession. I pride myself at providing exceptional service to my clients by offering workout, cardio, and nutrition plans. I also provide additional support by having daily or weekly check-ins with them. No one wants to workout with a partner who’s boring or talks a lot, so I try to bring as much fun as I can to the session while still making sure the client is getting a good sweat on!

“I want to do my best to leave an impact on the South Asian community when it comes to health and fitness. I understand how hard it can be coming from a Punjabi household trying to maintain a healthy diet and fitness routine. Over the last few years, I have helped many South Asians reach their goals by showing them that they can live a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying their favorite cultural foods”, he said. We asked him a few questions about his own fitness journey and all things fitness. Below are the excerpts from the interview: SAE Magazine: How did your journey in the world of fitness begin? What was the motivation behind it? Darb: Growing up, I’ve always been an active kid playing multiple sports throughout high school. I didn’t take my fitness seriously until I graduated high school as I was in my worst shape both physically and mentally. At the time, I weighed 220 pounds or 100kg which would defeat me mentally every day and I knew I had to make a change. I would skip out on social events because I didn’t like the way I looked, or I would not eat in fear of gaining more weight. I started off in the gym on my own and had

no idea what I was doing, which was already a losing battle. I ended up hiring my first personal trainer a year later and it was the best decision I made. It allowed me to feel confident in myself and not only get to my goals but to continue a lifestyle around health and fitness. The motivation behind my transformation came through various avenues. It came when I would look at myself in the mirror and was unhappy with who was looking back or when I would try on clothes that didn’t fit right. The reason I’ve been successful thus far is due to the fact I can relate to my clients. I understand how hard it is to start your fitness journey and to be open about it with someone, which is why I make that process as easy and smooth as possible. Motivation got

me started on my journey, but the relentless mindset of achieving my goals kept me going and continues to do so! SAE Magazine: Why did you become a personal trainer? Darb: Going through my own transformation, both physically and mentally, I wanted to help others in my community do the same. I saw that transforming your mind and body was attainable and I knew I could bring that passion and lifestyle to others. This led me to pursue a career in personal training helping hundreds of people reach their fitness goals over the last six years. I have taken pride in helping others change their lives regardless of gender, size, and fitness goals. There

SAE Magazine: Do you see fitness and technology really making a difference as they come together? Darb: Yes, I see the two sides coming together and so far, they already have been. As soon as you go online, whether it’s social media or Youtube, you’ll see tons of different content about health and fitness. This information can be confusing as it can be hard to tell the difference between good and bad content. I pride myself on educating my clients to understand the difference between good and bad content. Technology has made our lives easier but that’s not a positive thing when it comes to our movement patterns. A lot of my own clients are in professions that www.entertainmentmagazine.ca

require them to either sit for long periods of time or be in front of a computer. This may seem harmless but overtime our bodies adapt to our new movement patterns and with sitting and slouching throughout the day, our posture and body structure suffer immensely. By using proper form, extensive rehab knowledge and mobility exercises, I do my best to correct those postural issues to have my clients feeling their best throughout their daily life! SAE Magazine: Which is more important to you: physical fitness or nutrition? Darb: Both are equally important at the end of day but as the saying goes, you can’t out train a bad diet. I believe nutrition should be 7080% of your foundation of fitness to reach your overall goal. It is a common occurrence for clients to be expressing their frustration on how hard nutrition can be. They might be confused on what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat and the list goes on. What I do with nutrition is set a plan that is easy to follow. I don’t believe in a restricted diet as that is not sustainable in the long run. What I teach my clients is more of a balanced lifestyle, where no specific food is off limits. This along

SAE Magazine: Do you recommend nutrition supplements? Why or why not? Darb: The job of a supplement is to do exactly that, supplement your overall nutrition and diet. Supplements should never be the main source of our nutritional foundation. I personally take multiple supplements to help get the most out of my nutrition input. This includes, multi vitamins, fish oils, my daily greens, protein powder among more. Most clients don’t take supplements because they are unsure of what they can do for them. This is where I teach my clients about the benefits of different supplements and how these supplements can be helpful to them. However, that does not mean everyone might need supplements. If you’re already getting enough vitamins throughout the day, then there might be no need for a multi vitamin. The goal is to supplement your body if you require it but not everyone is going to have the same requirements. SAE Magazine: Any tips that you have for the people who want to begin their fitness journey? Darb: I know starting your very own fitness journey can be tough at the beginning. My biggest piece of advice is to just start out slowly. Often, I have clients eager to start and wanting to get into the gym every day or make drastic diet changes. I can understand the logic to this, but most times this is counterproductive. For example, you don’t learn to drive on the highway, you start on the side streets first. Fitness is the same concept. Start off with a 30-minute workout a couple times a week or try cutting down on your serving sizes for your food intake. Making small changes like this will help you stick to your long-term goals, which will inevitably bring success! I also recommend getting adequate rest and sleep as recovery is a huge and important part of building and developing muscle. Go out and try different activities. Starting your fitness journey doesn’t mean you have to hit the gym all the time. Go out for a run, try yoga, or play any sport. Lastly, I would say to follow fitness influencers who are giving you the right advice on living a healthy fit lifestyle. is life’s greatest blessing

A happy, well-functioning family has many common features, but a lack of conflict isn’t one of them. All family members will sometimes rub each other the wrong way, argue with one another and hurt each other’s feelings, sometimes seriously. But the features common to happy families are security, trust, and tolerance; gratitude and pride in one another; and the enjoyment that comes from being playful with one another. Here are a few tips that may help encourage family harmony in the face of life’s events. 1. Speak kindly to each other. If you do happen to use an unintended tone or language that sounds hurtful, excuse yourself. Let the other person know that the tone or language wasn’t intended to be harsh, and that you apologize. 2. Let each member of your family know what it is that you value in them. Don’t take the contributions of your family for granted. If they are kind, generous, giving, helpful, or supportive, let them know.

3. Value the uniqueness of each member of your family. What characteristics do your family members have that you find interesting, unique, or even wonderful? Celebrate the positive about those you love. 4. Use Sundays as a day to gather and meet about the week ahead. Often schedules are overloaded and can be overwhelming as a result. Planning the week ahead and checking in with family members as to how they are doing, what is coming up in the week ahead, as well as, highlights and “low-lights” from the week past, can be a way of connecting and preventing potential problems or pitfalls in the coming week. 5. Have a plan for managing stress. We all have a certain level of stress, and not all stress is bad. But too much stress can lead to distress, and this takes a toll on the body, the

mind, and relationships. Exercise, creative pursuits, fun activities, and positive relationships all counteract the effects of stress.

a craft, writing, drawing, or even looking out their window. Just 10 minutes to bring the mind back to quietness.

6. Realize when to say “No”. Everyone has a limit, what’s yours? Don’t take on too much to do and know when to stop. Keep this in mind with your children too. Children need down time and so do parents. Many times, kids are taking on too many after school activities, and combined with increased schoolwork this can lead to distress. Down time is time to do whatever you like, quiet or otherwise.

8. Spend time in nature. So often we are caught up in our worlds of work, sports, and school we forget the beautiful force of nature and all the tranquil moments it provides to release stress.

7. Find some Quiet Time daily. This is just 10 minutes of time to think, relax, sip on a cup of tea/coffee, and be still. This is unplugged, nonelectronic time. Encourage your children to find quiet time, or still time. They could spend time in their room, laying on their bed, snuggling with you, walking outside, creating

9. Think positively and look for the positive in others. This is hard, but every moment has it’s silver lining. Most of our irritations are small and inconsequential. If you can find it in your heart to forgive and move on with whatever hurt you have experienced, it will lighten your load. Sometimes our inner space gets completely taken up with negative feelings and thoughts that end up hurting ourselves. Most people do not intend to be hurtful, they make mistakes, as we all do. RESP - A UNIQUE INVESTMENT FOR YOUR CHILD’S FUTURE Sandeep Ahuja

O

ur children are our future and we endeavour to provide them best education so that they may become well-settled in their lives. But as the cost of postsecondary education is quite high in Canada, we need to start investing for their education when they are young so that we may be free from any financial worries when our children are ready for their university. Initiative of Canadian Government To ease the financial burden of parents, the government of Canada has designed a unique educational savings program namely Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) which helps you to accumulate funds for your child’s postsecondary education. The subscriber has to contribute monthly through preauthorized payments until December 31 of the year in which the designated beneficiary at issue reaches age 17. At the end of the commitment period, your total payout is paid as Educational Assistance Payments (EAP). Who can open RESP/be the named Beneficiary? You can enrol in the Diploma RESP if you have a Canadian address with a valid SIN number. It also includes people on work permits and refugees approved by IRCC. Your spouse can be the joint subscriber in the plan. When you enrol, you need to designate a beneficiary who should be a child of age 14, or under, who will receive the educational assistance payments when pursuing post-secondary studies. He/ she needs to be a Canadian resident with a SIN number.

Your child can be made beneficiary of more than one RESP. It is important to note that after December 31 of the 31st calendar year following the plan’s creation, no contributions can be made. Also, the plan must cease to exist no later than December 31 of the 35th year following the plan’s creation. Assistance for low income families

In 2005, the government enhanced the program by providing an additional grant based on the parents’ family income. For low income families, the government offers another grant namely Canada Learning Bond (CLB) with the help of which, eligible parents get $500 in the first year and, $100 in each subsequent year of eligibility until the child reaches 15 years of age. The cumulative limit of CLB offered to a child can therefore reach $2,000. To be eligible, the beneficiary must be a resident of Canada born after December 31, 2003 with a valid social insurance number (SIN). Besides, provincial governments also pay grants to eligible families under the RESP program. How much money can you save? The maximum lifetime contribution limit per child is $50,000 while there isn’t any annual contribution limit. This implies that as per your budget, you can invest up to $50,000 in the plan. To encourage parents to invest funds in postsecondary education of their children as early as possible, the government of Canada has devised CESG plan. Thanksgiving Day (Canada)

hanksgiving Day is an annual Canadian holiday. Initially it was decided to occurring on the second Monday in October, which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year.

Thanksgiving in Canada isWW celebrated on the second Monday of October each year and it’s an official statutory holiday except in PEI, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia - however federally regulated institutions do observe Thanksgiving in those provinces too. In the US thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November. The original idea is to give thanks for the past harvest season but for many Canadian families the tradition has changed over time and the focus is now to get together with family and eat a large turkey dinner. Apple cider is a must for any traditional thanksgiving celebration as well as turkey stuffing and pumpkin pie. The first Thanksgiving holiday was held in Canada in 1872 to celebrate the recovery of the Prince of Wales from a serious illness. After 1879 celebrations

were held every year but not always in October - it used to be observed around Armistice Day in November. At the Crawford Lake

Don’t fear the pandemic, celebrate Halloween with precautions ensuring maximum safety

The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

n the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jacko-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats. It is one the most awaited days of the year for kids who get to have loads of candy without any restrictions. The top U.S. health agency issued a new set of coronavirus

safety recommendations on its website in what it described as a “supplement” to existing safety measures in various states and cities. The guidelines are some of the first to emerge on a national level ahead of the Halloween season in Canada and the United States. “Many traditional Halloween activities can be high-risk for spreading viruses,” the agency says on its website. “There are several safer, alternative ways to participate in Halloween.” The CDC is urging people to avoid some of the most beloved traditions of the spooky season, including trick-or-treating and

indoor costume parties, due to the “high risk” they pose for spreading the virus. It’s also labelled haunted houses, hayrides with strangers, fall festivals outside your community, drinking and “trunk or treating” as higher-risk activities during the pandemic. (Trunk-or-treating involves handing out candy from the trunk of a car). The CDC recommended several lower-risk activities for celebrating the holiday with people in your immediate household, including carving pumpkins, watching movies and holding candy scavenger hunts.

The agency also described some activities that are moderately risky, such as attending an outdoor costume party in a mask, conducting one-way trickor-treating and visiting haunted forests while maintaining more than two meters of space from others. So, keeping all the risk factors in mind, it is only advisable to be careful, cautious and indulge in the fun but also follow all the precautions ensuring maximum safety. Vijayadashami

T

he name Vijayadashami is derived from the Sanskrit terms “Vijayadashami” which means victory on the day of Dashami. Dashami is tenth lunar day of a Hindu calendar month. All over India Hindus celebrate this auspicious day in many ways. In some parts, it’s the day Goddess Durga killed the demon Mahishasur. After nine days of Navratri, the festival culminates with the immersion of the idol of Durga. This was also the day King Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, killed Ravana, the 10-headed demon. To celebrate the legend huge effigies of Ravana are burned and with it burns all evil. History

Vijayadashami, or Dussehra, has several different stories related to it, with the common theme being the victory of good over evil.

It is often reported that the story of Rama’s victory over Ravana can be traced as far back as 5114 BC. This famous Hindu celebration says that the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama, killed the ten-headed devil Ravana. Lord Rama, along with his brother Larkshman and follower Hanuman, trekked to Ravana’s kingdom to fight him and bring back Sita, Rama’s wife. On their way Rama prayed to Durga and was eventually victorious. It was from around 1500BC

that the first Durga Puja celebrations are mentioned, with these in Dinajpur and Malda. These celebrations often draw upon Goddess Durga’s assassination of the demon Mahidhasur

For some, Vijayadashami marks the end of Durga Puja and they remember the goddess Durga’s victory Mahishasura to restore and protect dharma. For others Vijayadashami remembers god Rama’s victory over Ravan. Traditional ways to celebrate include processions to a river or ocean, during which people carry statues of Surga, Lakshmi, and Ganesha as they chant and listen to music. The festival also starts the preparations for Diwali (the festival of lights) which comes twenty days after Vijayadashami. 5 ENLIGHTENING FACTS ABOUT VIJAYDASHMI Why the idols are immersed Immersing the idol on Vijaydashmi symbolizes how a deity moves from the formless (clay) to form (the idol) and then again to formlessness in water — bringing a balance to nature and cosmic energy.

fans disappointed

ate legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter account is all set to be closed. The announcement was made on his account. Dilip Kumar’s spokesperson Faisal Farooqui last month informed via a tweet: “After much discussion and deliberation and with the consent of Saira Banu ji, I have decided to close this Twitter account of beloved Dilip Kumar Saab. Thank you for your continuous love and support.” The announcement of shutting down the official Twitter account comes just a couple of months after the demise of Dilip Kumar, who passed away on July 7,

It also comprises establishing good habits through focus and discipline. There are five basic principles which will help you reach your fitness goals: Principle 1: Breathe and Learn to control your Stress When our bodies feel overwhelmed or “stressed out” it releases cortisol and endorphins. These chemicals cause our palms

to sweat, our minds to race, our hearts to pound, and our bodily functions to malfunction. This is the

body’s natural response to stress, developed over millions of years of human evolution. Learn to control this natural response to stress so that you are poised even under the most stressful of circumstances. Mental, emotional and physical stress can be controlled through deep, controlled and rhythmic breathing. Principle 2: Positive Energy Pay attention to your energy. What you put into the universe comes back. This means positive affirmations throughout the day, especially your workouts. Its important block out all negative self-talk and constantly motivate yourselves to keep going. You must remind yourself to go on and not quit, no matter what. Have faith in yourself. Principle 3: Visualization There have been multiple studies which prove that visualization works. You can use visualization on multiple levels; You can visualize how you want to look, you can visualize completing a particular exercise, or reaching a particular goal. Using mental

imagery to prepare yourself for a goal facilitates a better chance at succeeding. Once the mind is prepared, you will have full control over your mental and physical faculties. Principle 4: Micro Goals Set small goals for yourself; get through the week, and then focus on the next week. Before you know it, a month will have passed. One step at a time. Learn to focus on one thing at a time and avoiding all distractions. Do it by determining the overall objective, breaking it down into smaller pieces, and repeating as needed until you get it perfect. Principle 5: Suck it Up To learn that when you're uncomfortable and discouraged, sometimes you just have to suck it up and get through it. The Navy Seals in the US is an elite military unit. Their training is tremendously difficult and intense. There is a large brass bell which sits in the middle of their training compound. All you have to do to quit--is ring the bell. Ring the bell and you no longer have to wake up at 5’o clock. Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the freezing cold swims. Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the runs, the obstacle course, the PT-and you no longer have to endure the hardships of training. Just ring the bell. anada has always remained in highlights for extremely high rate of immigration among other developed countries. The increase in the labor force is however not solving the problem of unemployment in Canada. Taking into consideration this year’s statistics (Statistics Canada), unemployment rate in Canada has increased from 7.5% in March 2021 to 8.1% in April 2021. A major share of the unemployment was caused due to the recently announced immigration policies such as TR to PR pathway and the benefits announced by the government pertaining to COVID-19. The TR to PR pathway was implemented in May 2021 and in this month alone, the labor market was hit with the loss of 68,000 jobs (CBC News). The exceptionally high unemployment rate is somewhat a reflection of the loop holes in the system and COVID-19 alone cannot be blamed for the spike in unemployment rate. The need of hour is to address this emerging problem of unemployment. With students now immigrating

to Canada as travel restrictions are eased and educational institutions are now open for on-campus classes, the businesses are getting a sigh of relief. With a relief in COVID-19 restrictions, there has been a rise in job opportunities in the Canadian labor market. Now the levels of certainty in businesses operations amid the pandemic is increasing, the employers are looking for qualifying candidates for their businesses especially in the front-line sectors. Certain breeds have been conditioned overtime to be more obedient than others. Some more active than others, and some outdoors vs indoors. The decision of which breed will best suit your needs and lifestyle is a very important question each person should ask themselves before adopting and gaining the responsibility of a life on their hands. Choosing the right breed can make or break the amazing experience of having a pet in your life and friendly companion to share activities with. One of the first questions you should ask yourself is if you wish to have a dog that is just as outdoorsy as you are, or if you wish to have a furry companion that stays indoors mostly as you do. If you live in an apartment or condo, an indoor dog may be a better option overall. For those who live in a house with a back or front fenced yard, a larger dog is a possibility to keep in mind, along with small breeds too. If you already have children or older family members within the household, would they be comfortable around a large dog or would a smaller dog be easier

Basset hounds and bulldogs are both very affectionate and relaxed breeds, however as much as they both love to go for walks and exercise, they can not tolerate extreme amounts. With the amount of time you have for your dog depending on your lifestyle, another thing to keep in mind is the grooming process. Some dogs require regular maintenance of being groomed, such as Poodles, however others require almost none at all, like Beagles. Choosing a breed may feel like a difficult task at hand, however you should always feel free to contact your local veterinarian and discuss which options are best suited for you. Selecting the right breed that is meant for you can make the experience of having a pet dog a beautiful journey. It is better to have done your research and decided fully which breed you wish to adopt than to sometimes go in blindly not knowing what to expect. Free Kidsplay Summer Camps

he KidsPlay Foundation has been running free summer camps in Surrey and Abbotsford. These camps have been running all summer long.

Since gold has high chances of tarnish, here are two things you should completely avoid if you often wear gold jewellery: Soap: It’s best to stay away from soaps with unknown ingredients since they may have chemicals which can badly affect your jewellery. That is why, you should always take off your gold necklaces or rings before showering. Chlorine: Whether you are cleaning your house with chlorine bleach or going for a swim, take off your jewellery beforehand. Chlorine, especially at high temperatures, can discolur your precious gold

Here are some of the house hold items you can use to clean gold jewellery like a pro: 1- Ammonia Mix half a cup of clear ammonia with one cup of warm water and soak your gold jewellery in it for about 10 minutes. After taking it out, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth, and let it dry. Though, make sure to not do this to jewellery pieces with pearls in them as ammonia can damage and dull their delicate surface. 2- Baking soda Add ¼ cup of baking soda to 2 tablespoons of water and make a thick paste. With a damp sponge, rub this paste gently on your jewellery and buff it dry. If your jewellery has been badly tarnished, then replace water with vinegar and follow the same method. Although, make sure to not use this technique with jewellery containing gemstones as the paste could loosen the glue.

If you are doing it for the first time, make sure to dilute the toothpaste with more water to get an idea about how strong the solution is. After scrubbing, clean the jewellery under running water and dab it with a dry cloth. 5- Soda Add some soda to water and

soak your jewellery pieces in it for about 10 minutes. Take them out, clean jewellery pieces with lukewarm water, and scrub them gently with a soft toothbrush if you think the dirt hasn’t been properly removed. Soak the jewellery in some warm water for a few seconds before you finally clean it with a dry cloth. 6- Boiling water For plain gold jewellery that doesn’t have any stones studded in it, nothing works better than simple boiling water. Leave the jewellery in boiling water for about five minutes, and then put it under warm running water for a few seconds. In the film, Free City is an online video game promoted by Antwan (Taika Waititi), the head developer of Soonami Games. Incidentally, the source code of this game was stolen from an unreleased game developed by Millie (Jodie Comer) and Keys (Joe Keery).

While fantasy films require some suspension of disbelief, they are nevertheless required to operate logically within their conceit framework, and ‘Free Guy’ delivers on that count.

So, Keys takes up a job at Soonami and Millie spends her time within Free City manipulating her avatar Molotov Girl to find evidence to prove that she and Keys are the rightful owners of the code. This is the skeleton of the tale. The film’s screenplay concentrates on Guy (Ryan Reynolds), a flat character in Free City, who usually, in the videogame lingo, is called an NPC (nonplayer character). In literal terms, he is a background character who is not controlled by a player.

Conceptually, Director Shawn Levy’s ‘Free Guy’ is a virtual-reality saga that’s neither unique, nor intriguing. It portrays video games as a shared universe into which characters literally enter and inhabit, thus in its literal form, the story plays like a fantasy-fairytale. We have seen such sci-fic films earlier, including one nearer home -- Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra One’, which was released in 2011.

In Guy’s world, violence, crime and killing are just a part of the landscape. He works as a teller

in a bank and, together with his pal, security guard Buddy (Lil Rel Howery), maintains the same routine every day. With a cheerful disposition they wait for the bank to get robbed by whoever is playing the game that day. It allows them a chance to chat even as violence occurs around them. One day, Guy spots Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer) and is smitten by her. He follows her only to realise that she can be pretty intimidating. She is one of the ‘Sunglasses’ people, which mean she is actually controlled by a player. According to some unwritten rule in the game, non-player characters don’t wear sunglasses and they don’t speak or interact with those who do. So, when Guy accidentally learns how to acquire the eyewear that allows him to interact with the players of Free City, he works hard and breaks all rules to impress Molotov Girl. How their paths

converge, with Guy now an online sensation helping Millie in her endeavour, forms the crux of the narrative. This energetic film is loaded with action and VFX sequences. With many thrilling sequences mounted with grandeur, it gives you the feel of a live video game. ‘Free Guy’ is an outright Ryan Reynolds film. Wide-eyed and poker faced, he is fun to watch. Judie Comer, as his love interest, is strikingly impressive. And Utkarsh Ambudkar, as Mouser the problem solver, Taika Waititi and Joe Keery, are all natural and charismatic. Despite the story beats being thin, the tone wildly different and some of its action sequences visually absorbing, the film is largely entertaining, oscillating between an action comedy and a stealthy rom-com. Sarvesh Shashi, Founder, SARVA lists the top mistakes beginner yogis often tend to make: 1. Don’t over-exert yourself. If on a scale of 1 to 10 -- 1 being easiest and 10 being the toughest -- every asana need not be a 10. Some days an 8 feels like a 10 and on others, a 15 feels like an 8! 2. Don’t hold your breath unnaturally unless the trainer specifically mentions this during practice. Breathe normally. 3. Avoid practicing yoga when you are exhausted, during illness, Yoga should make you feel the rush of happy hormones in the end, not entirely exhausted!

4. Do not practice alone. This one is more of a guideline. If you’re a beginner, it’s best to practice under someone’s guidance. It is not advised to simply read and practice, it may lead to a muscle pull or discomfort. While practicing advanced postures for the first time, it’s best to have someone assist you while doing these. 5. Avoid wearing tight clothes and do not wear shoes. Especially

tight upper body clothing will restrict the movement of the rib cage and lung that would result in incomplete breathing. 6. Don’t shower immediately, after a good sweaty workout, let the body dry normally and then shower for a normal cool-down of the body. 7. Do not perform inversion or ‘feet up’ asanas, during the menstruation cycle. Preferably perform relaxation and breathing

typical 2-year-old can say about 50 words and speak in two- and three-word sentences. By the age of 3, their vocabulary increases to about 1,000 words, and they’re speaking in three- and four-word sentences. If your toddler hasn’t met those milestones, they may have a speech delay. Developmental milestones help gauge your child’s progress, but they’re just general guidelines. Children develop at their own rate: If your child has a speech delay, it doesn’t always mean something is wrong. You may simply have a late bloomer who’ll be talking your ear off in no time. A speech delay can also be due to hearing loss or underlying neurological or developmental delay. How speech and language delays are different: Although the two are often difficult to tell apart — and frequently referred to together — there are some differences between a speech and language delay. Speech is the physical act of producing sounds and saying words. A toddler with a speech delay may try but have trouble forming the correct sounds to make words. A speech delay doesn’t involve comprehension or nonverbal communication. Language delay involves understanding and communicating, both verbally and nonverbally. A toddler with a language delay may make the correct sounds and pronounce some words, but they can’t form phrases or sentences that

make sense. They may have difficulty understanding others.

Environment plays a crucial role in speech and language development. Ingredients: 4 300 grams boneless skinless chicken breasts
