Lacuecaisastaplefolkdanceat Chileancelebrationsandknownforits rhythm,choreographyandsymbolismas adanceofcourtship.
Therapanuidancesreferstothe traditionaldancesofthepeopleof EasterIsland,aterritoryofChile.Dance isPolynesianinspired.It’srhythmic movementssymbolisevariousaspectsof lifesuchasthesea,thesunortheearth. Thegroupwouldperformthe“hoko’’ whichissimilarinnaturetothehaka.
Conchasaidthebondbetweentherapa nuiandMāoripeopleisoneofshared ancestryandcultureasbothgroups originatefromPolynesiaandmaintain traditions,languagesandcustomswith similaritiestoday.

Thehistoricchurchwasspared,along withthegarageandneighbour’shomes. Jonathonsaidfirefightersknowthe originofthefirewasinthebedroom,but notthecause.
