Professional circus performer Jason Butler has been doing a trick a day in May for the past three years. His online trickery goes under the hashtag #trickadaymay and now has a massive following
from other aspiring and professional performers with more than 1000 videos on different tricks. The Tauranga performer started small – balancing a peanut on his arm and throwing it into his mouth. He progressed up to six peanuts.
“It’s about creating a little bit of fun, a little bit of content, and if you can show off some cool tricks that’s even better.” It has grown hugely from about 15 people in the first year. Full story on page 8. Photo: Daniel Hines.
