Hallandale Beach City Marina begins new era in Broward County boating
Hallandale Beach ushered in a new era in boating in southern Broward County on Friday with the opening of a new $1.2 million, 30slip marina at 101 Three Islands Boulevard. Hallandale Beach City officials, Broward County and State of Florida leaders celebrated the addition of available boating space at the grand opening. Constructed in partnership with the Broward Boating Improvement Program and the Florida Inland Navigational District (FIND), Hallandale Beach City Marina is the southern-most public dockage in Broward County. Situated on the DeSoto Waterway just north and west of the Intracoastal Waterway, the marina offers easy access to inland waters and the Atlantic Ocean. The marina is located midway between the Haulover Inlet and the inlet at Port Everglades. “We couldn’t have built this beautiful marina without the help of grants from our partners,” said Mayor Joy Cooper. “Southern Broward County needed a public marina, and we are so proud it’s ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– MARINA, Page 4C
