Portions of HB Boulevard to close for up to five days All Aboard Florida (AAF) announced plans to close Hallandale Beach Boulevard between Dixie Highway and SE/NE First Avenue beginning Monday morning, March 14, for railroad crossing improvements. The crossing is expected to close at 7 a.m., and reopen at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 19, however plans may change! Motorists are strongly urged to plan ahead. Drivers should use the crossings at Pembroke Road or NW/NE Third Street to the north, or the crossings at SW/SE Third Street or SW 11th Street to the south. This will be the fourth railroad crossing in the City to be closed for improvements. The only remaining crossing that will require an upgrade is at SW 11th St., the southern-most crossing within the City. All Aboard Florida is the new high-speed, passenger express rail system that is planning to begin in 2017. It will link Miami to Orlando with only two stops in between, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
