It was back to school this week
Jeremiah Silvas-Price, 11, seated, gets a quick haircut from Merrill Celestine, in preparation for the beginning of the school year. Haircuts, backpacks, school supplies, food and plenty of activities drew about 200 youngsters and their parents to the annual City of Hallandale Beach Parks and Recreation Department Back 2 School Bash Friday night at O.B. Johnson Park. Parents had their youngsters lined up for free haircuts to get spruced up for the school year. Area businessmen donated many of the supplies to help Hallandale Beach students prepared for school. The annual event included dancing, singing, games and plenty of food. For more, see Page 4B.
