Food trucks are playing a tasty culinary tune Hollywood’s Arts Park comes alive every Monday night with over 20 mobile kitchens, serving some of the best ‘street’ foods you’ve tasted By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com Hollywood - When it began a few years ago, the thought of people coming out every Monday to visit food trucks at the Arts Park was something that was crazy at best. As the food truck craze was just beginning in South Florida, there were skeptics who felt that eating outside would be a novelty, but would soon wear thin and the interest level would go down. Well, here we are some years later and everything that was talked about in a negative way has worked out just the opposite. Not only are the food trucks
popular, but every Monday evening Sweet Blendz has taken off in a major way. From 5:30PM – 9:30PM, the event, held at Young Circle, is filled with some culinary treats and it brings people back to sample some of the 20 plus trucks that line the walkways. “My kids and I have been coming here for two years since my husband works later on Mondays,” Eileen Torano of Hollywood pointed out. “We have our favorites like Cantina Grill, Food Dude, Jake’s Drive-Inn Burgers and The Lobsta Guy.”

Chanukah is special at Kosher Kingdom doughnuts (sufganiyot). Chanukah is about dinners with brisket as a traditional main course. But it’s also about short ribs, noodle kugel and so many other favorites.
