$16 Million Pegasus World Cup Seven Stakes, Four Graded, to Support World’s Richest Race This Saturday At Gulfstream Park By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com There is no doubting that Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach has become the ultimate year round destination. From the many shops and restaurants to casino gaming and other impressive lures that will attract visitors throughout the year, thoroughbred racing is still king – and this coming Saturday, the red carpet will once again be rolled out.
Seven stakes, including four graded stakes, worth $1.225 million in purses will support the $16 million Pegasus World Cup (G1) at Gulfstream Park. “An event like this is only putting Gulfstream Park on par with some of the other racing destinations and events throughout the world,” longtime racing enthusiast Clem Waggoner explained. “We now have more than the Florida Derby to bring
racing fans in from across the world.” Indeed, this Saturday’s main event on NBC Sports will be 1 race, 12 horses and $16 million on the line – which will cap off a day of racing that will certainly grab the attention of the racing world. With contenders such as Collected, Fear The Cowboy, Giant Expectations, Gunnevera, Gun Runner, Seeking The Pegasus, Page 3A

Road Rage: Pack Your Patience When Driving In South Florida
By Larry Blustein sfsutimes@aol.com Harry Oliver will not mince words when talking about driving this time of year in South Florida. “Where do people go for their driver’s licenses,” he challenged. “They

Florida, the tourist mecca of the world, has an enormous problem and while many area municipalities have done what they could, it is not something that can be fixed - immed-
