Marijuana Taking Some Hits Uniformed Decision Makers Will Make It Tough For Florida To Approve Recreational Pot By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com While much of the past few months have been consumed with news about gun control, we hardly hear a thing about marijuana. You remember – when we last left you, the state of Florida – with all the excitement of a child sitting

down to a plate of broccoli - proclaimed that medical marijuana was now legal. Yeah, now let’s go back to being dull and trying to block everything and anything. For some reason, the state of Florida, which should be voting on a money-making legalization of marijuana for

There is no getting around the fact that South Floridians just love their Fourth of July celebration - and whether it falls on a weekend - or in the middle of the week like we have this year - it’s all about family, food, beach and fireworks. It plays out every year - where the Fourth of July becomes a day that we all have our own little fun - and as

neighborhood plan parties that culminate with local pyrotechnics - many head to the beach and make a full day out of it. “To me, since I was a kid this is the one holiday that is all about family, food and fun,” Andi Cinicotti of Hollywood said. “Last year we had just welcomed our third child, so he was a bit young, but now at 15 months, we will be heading to the beach early, cooking out and then go back home to watch the fireworks.” As many cities throughout south
