By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com Anyone who has been around the City of Hallandale Beach for any length of time knows that when it comes to policing and embracing a community, the Hallandale Beach Police Department stands alone.

While every community has its issues, very few of them have met the important problems and obstacles head on. That’s what has separated this City from the others.

There has always been strong administrative leadership.

No matter who has been in charge - through the years, Hallandale Beach has been fortunate to have people who understood this very complex and diverse community. They have been able to understand the growth - and the many issues that face an area that has so many economic layers.

As longtime Police Chief Dwayne Flournoy ended his tremendous career with the department, a City that always rewarded its own. They continued to do so in a big way - when 24-year veteran

This ground-breaking hire was indeed something that put this community in a spotlight that everyone has taken notice of - worldwide. In a time when many are fighting for equality, the hire of Quiñones was popular throughout the department and community.

Chief Quiñones also spoke about goals, which included: “improving public safety, public trust and employee morale.”

Throughout her 24 years in Hallandale Beach, Chief Quiñones, who was born in Puerto Rico, but raised in South Miami, has always rolled up here sleeves and has been vital to the many programs this City has implemented. She is always at anything and everything that has to do with the community.

“I have lived here for 12 years and have met Chief Quiñones at a few events they have with my niece,” Mary Parker said. “Very nice person who takes the time to talk and listen to what the residents are saying.”

Parker even attended two of the Coffee With A Cop community meetings that Hallandale Beach has hosted, and had the opportunity to speak with Chief Quiñones.

Those events were designed to break down any barriers that exist between the community and the police department. At a time when tension exists across the country with shootings and several confrontations, it was refreshing to see Hallandale Beach wanting residents to voice their opinion on the subject.

“Many people still do not trust law enforcement,”

A.J. Castillo said. “My brother is an officer in Medley and he tells me the stories about how it’s tough to restore that trust.”

Chief Quiñones will oversee 143 employees, including 101 full-time officers.

She was chosen from among more than 60 applicants nationwide — including five internal candidates, City Manager Roger Carlton said.

Carlton spoke about watching her in action during the Hurricane Irma preparation and cleanup.

“She’s distinguished herself and has a vision of where our police department needs to go,” he said. “I think she’ll be respected by the entire police department. I watched her during Hurricane Irma, where she was in charge of the police department a number of times. She handled herself very well.”

The project will include undergrounding of utilities, decorative concrete pavers, new lighting to support pedestrian safety and activity, landscape beautification, bike lanes, enhanced median crossings, and gateway enhancements. FDOT construction is expected to be completed by April 2019 with streetscape project to immediately follow through January 2020.

Complete Streets make economic sense as they are expected to encourage patronage through usable connections between residences and hotels, public transportation and retail destinations. This project is expected to beautify this important area and enhance the quality of life and experience of those who live, work and visit Hollywood Beach.

Always searching for ways to improve traffic signals in Hallandale Beach

By Mayor Joy Cooper Hallandale Beach - As we move forward in a new budget year I am very excited about a renewed interest in Adaptive Signalization Technology (AST), which is the real-time management of our traffic signals.

Our South Florida Sun Times readers may recall, I along with former commissions, have been focusing on signalization over the past years. Back when Mike Good was our city manager we were trying to encourage Broward County to allow us to take over control of HBB signalization. Currently they have control which was granted by the state.

At the time, they were unwilling to allow us to create our own control system. As a matter of fact one of our own commissioners spoke against it. He supported the county control and implementing their own county wide program. Our main issue with that position was we did not want to wait for them to fund it. We had an opportunity due to the Village at Gulfstream negotiations to invest in our own and at least partner to make it happen.

Our continued lobbying and drawing attention to this critical need drew focus to HBB. The county was in the process of installing a new fiber optic backbone and replacing all the old traffic control. The new system uses sen-

sor cameras to relay to the box traffic is waiting. The new program resets the signal every hour rather than every day. The system was called “GO Green Light”. This was a step in the right direction. It does not seem like much but it does help.

The County traffic system is budgeted in part by gas tax and shared revenues but it is not fully funded. After two failed attempts at trying to pass a countywide penny tax the completion of any impactful improvement will take much longer.

After reading a recent article about Miami-Dade implementing parts of a system in Miami I asked about the possibility of renewing interest in ours in HB system. I am extremely happy there is a revived dialogue with Broward County and our city is looking at implementing not only AST (Assigned Secondary Traffic) Channels, but a new tool to measure signalization performance. So, there could be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

The recent penny tax plan that failed supported including 1.2 million in adaptive signal control and a transit signal priority package for Hallandale Beach Boulevard. There would also be an estimated $23,000 annual O&M costs above existing signal maintenance costs. In my opinion $23,000 annual is

something that can and should be accomplished. While it is a county system I would support a partnership between the city county and state to get traffic moving. As usual there are no guarantees but this should be our top priority.

The County continues to implement more technology to evaluate and monitor traffic. These new systems come with a price tag. There is a disconnect often between services and taxes.

Taxes pay for services so they are essential to improving our quality of life.

Obvious taxes need to be watch doggedly but in the end infrastructure simply costs money.

The impacts are not just financial they are also physical. AST (Assigned Secondary Traffic) Channels will physically move traffic but as the old saying goes something must give. In high traveled, dense areas there is a natural conflict between pedestrians and cars.

On one hand pedestrians, there is the concept they should always get priority.

In the current system pedestrians do, they can push a button to wait in queue on the signal. This throws off the system and it must reset itself on the hour.

On the other hand some would say they should wait their turn. In other cities pedestrians wait for their turn.

As we move forward we will need to work closely with our residents, staff, county and state officials on this critical

issue. Share your opinion with me anytime, what is your priority?

Another hot topic since Irma has been electric wires underground. Many people think the FPL should pay for underground wiring. Who wouldn’t? The issue is far more complex then that. It is not up to the customers or cities. It is up to FPL and the state. There has been an ongoing argument over the cost and how it would impact every customers’ utility bills. The Public Service Commission regulates FPL and every other energy company in the state. FPL will work with communities to underground wires, but it is expensive. They will share in the expense but it mainly would fall on the shoulders of every property owner. What do you think about this issue? If you could pay costs (possibly $30,000) over time on your bill? Would you? Would you give up your front yard for a transfer box?

Lessons Learned In Hiring A Private Aide By the daughter of an Aventura mom

Finally, I found the perfect person to look after mom, who could no longer live alone safely. Marie, the aide, was referred by another aide in mom’s building, who seemed to take great care of a very demanding neighbor who was showing signs of confusion like my mother. During the interview process, Marie demonstrated patience, attentiveness to mom’s needs, and had glowing references. I even called two of them, who were out of state, but who affirmed how good Marie was to them or their family member. What a relief! After three weeks in Florida, I finally was able to return to my family in Ohio and feel that mom was in good hands.

At first, all was fabulous. Mom said Marie helped her with showering, picking out her clothes, made small meals, and they went to dinner a lot. Mom also said Marie helped her clean out her drawers and closets, and helped her organize her things.

Then, mom began to complain that Marie moves things around, and mom cannot find them. She told Marie to keep things in one place, and that Marie raising her voice to her. I spoke to Marie, who said mom moves things around herself, and then cannot find them. I suggested that since mom can get confused, it might be best to organize things the way it would be easier for her. The next day, mom called and said her diamond ring and earrings were missing, and the $400 spare money that she has kept in the corner of her bedside table for years was also missing. I asked to speak to Marie. Mom informed me that Marie went down to the store and had not yet returned.

When I called back later, mom said Marie still had not returned and she did not know what she should do for dinner. I called Security in mom’s building. They had not seen the aide since she left in the morning. I asked them to check on mom. Feeling upset myself, I called another neighbor, asking if she could either include my mother in her dinner plans or help mom order delivery from a local restaurant, and then see to it that she had something for breakfast in the morning.

I called the Aventura police to report a possible theft, and booked an early morning flight back to Florida.

What an ordeal followed. However, at least mom was not physically harmed!

Although I had resisted going through an agency due to a slightly higher cost, I began a rapid search of getting competent help as soon as possible, calling mom’s doctors and going online. The name Always Classic Care came up several times. When I called, the staff was most professional asking about mom’s status and needs. The owner, Terry Adler, joined the conversation with more specific questions about mom’s personality and capability status, as well as my concerns and services I felt mom would need. Terry advised me that she and her staff would confer immediately to select the most suitable aide, and that she would personally supervise the case. To my surprise, once paperwork was completed with staff, Terry called me back to report she had someone very special for mom who could start later that evening or first thing in the morning. I was amazed. Well, mom hit it off with the new aide immediately, and she has now been with mom for the over a year. It definitely was a great match.

Although I had avoided going through an agency because of the slightly higher cost, it took a bad experience for me to realize the many advantages of using a home health agency or nurse registry.

Aside from dealing with professionals, home health agencies are regulated by the State of Florida. All of their healthcare workers must submit to a rigorous screening process that includes FBI fingerprinting for any history of wrong doing. A registered agency such as Always Classic Care requires a personal interview conducted by a professional staff who also scrutinize documentation of training, references and work history, and applicants are required to complete preemployment testing as to knowledge of various levels of care. Also, if there is any problem , question, personality or communication issue once the aide is assigned, the agency will get involved and make immediate changes. And, as in the case of the missing Marie, Terry told me they would have become integrally involved in the investigation. I found that the agency may cost a few dollars more per hour than a private hiring, but now, the cost seems minimal when compared to the open communication and peace of mind that it can bring.

Delicious pork chops prepared some unique ways

Smothered, stuffed, crispy or any way that you like the tasty ‘other white meat’

• 4 pork chops • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, artichoke hearts, spinach, garlic, mozzarella and Parmesan. Season with salt and red pepper flakes.

Using a paring knife, cut pockets in the thickest part of the pork chops and stuff with cream cheese mixture.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat. Add pork chops and cook 4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Repeat with the last two pork chops and serve.

For some, they have never had that WOW moment when it comes to these delicious taste treats. But for others, creations with pork chops has become an obsession.

Today, we give you a few pork chop recipes to try at home.

SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS • 4 thick, bone-in pork chops • kosher salt • Freshly ground pepper • 1 c. all-purpose flour • 2 tsp. garlic powder • 1/4 c. vegetable or canola oil, plus • 3 tablespoons, divided • 2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced • 2 tbsp. butter • 1 1/2 c. low-sodium chicken broth • 1/4 c. heavy cream • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Season pork chops all over with salt and pepper.

In a shallow dish, mix together flour with garlic powder and chili powder. Coat pork chops in flour, shaking off excess. Reserve 2 tablespoons seasoned flour.

In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, heat oil until shimmering. In batches, cook pork chops until golden, 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to plate. Wipe out skillet.

Reduce heat to medium low, pour in remaining oil, and add onions. Season with more salt and pepper and cook until very soft and slightly caramelized, 15-20 minutes. Add butter and let melt, then sprinkle in reserved flour.

Cook until flour is no longer raw, about a minute. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream and bring to a simmer, until sauce begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.

Return pork chops to skillet and cook until pork is cooked through, about 10 minutes more. Garnish with parsley.

SPINACH & ARTICHOKE STUFFED PORK CHOPS • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature • 1/3 c. sour cream • 1/3 c. mayonnaise • 1 can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped • 1 10-oz. package frozen spinach • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 2/3 c. shredded mozzarella • 1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan • kosher salt • pinch of crushed red pepper flakes

CRISPY PORK CHOPS • 1 1/2 c. panko bread crumbs • 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder • 1/4 tsp. onion powder • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano • 1/4 tsp. Dried Parsley • 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika • kosher salt • Freshly ground black pepper • 4 pork chops, about 3/4"-thick • 1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans

Preheat oven to 400° and set wire rack on baking sheet.

In a small bowl, mix panko, 1/4 cup olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, parsley, paprika, and 2 teaspoons salt together until evenly combined. Transfer mixture to a large resealable plastic bag.

Season both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper.

Add pork chops to the bag and shake until evenly coated in seasoned panko mixture.

Place pork chops on wire rack and bake until the pork is cooked through and the bread crumbs are golden, 23 to 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, toss green beans in remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Spread in an even layer on a separate baking sheet and bake until tender and beginning to color, about 15 minutes.

Serve warm with pork chops.

North Miami Beach FY2018 Budget Adopted with Unanimous Vote by the City Commission

North Miami Beach, – The North Miami Beach City Commission unanimously approved the Fiscal Year 2018 budget on Monday, September 25, 2017. The adopted millage rate of 6.4000 is the lowest millage rate in more than 30 years. At the same time, the City’s unrestricted reserves of $19.4 million is the highest in the history of the City of North Miami Beach. “This unprecedented accomplishment in our City is attributed to good governance, outstanding leadership, fiscal responsibility and an overall execution of the City’s Strategic plan,” said Mayor George Vallejo.

The Fiscal Year 2018 budget sets North Miami Beach on a course to make significant investments in communication, engagement, inclusion and restoration as the NMB Renaissance continues. The total budget approved for FY18 is $164,803,540, which includes the following highlights: • $33 million in capital infrastructure improvements, rehabilitation and replacements, for the City’s utility and its 180,000 water customers as the City takes one giant step forward in realizing its goal of being a world-class utility.

• The adopted General Fund CIP budget of $4.3

million is an infusion and ongoing commitment to improvements to infrastructure, parks, fleet, streets, technology and overall enhancements to safety and aesthetics for North Miami Beach.

• The adopted budget includes enhancing overall communication and outreach to the entire North Miami Beach community. This will be accomplished with the newly created Division of Public Affairs and Community Engagement and augmented by an overall investment of $3.7 million in the Information Technology fund.

• The North Miami Beach Police Departmental budget of more

than $22.8 million represents the City’s ongoing commitment to public safety through recruitment and retention of the best law enforcement officers dedicated to serve and protect the NMB community.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished, and thank our Finance Director and my entire senior team for their unyielding commitment to our City’s RISE principals of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. This

budget is an investment in our future”, said City Manager Ana M. Garcia.

Always know that people will try and scam you for repairs after a storm With millions of people affected by the ravages of Hurricane Irma, there will always be those who are out take advantage. Scammers and con artists looking to prey on people who have been displaced, whose homes need extensive repairs, and on the rest of us who want to help by donating to a cause that will help them.

There are many ways that fraudsters try to victimize storm survivors a second time, but the three most common ways to take advantage of this situation involve posting sham rental listings for people flooded out of their homes, repair scams that take your money but do little or no repair work, and bogus charities that promise to help Hurricane-ravaged areas but just want to siphon off your cash.

How To Avoid Home Repair Scams If your home has been damaged by the storm, you may be approached by supposed contractors offering to fix things up for you. But anyone can claim to be a contractor; that doesn’t mean they are one, or that they will actually do any of the work you pay for.

• Avoid complete strangers: Rather than deal with contractors who show up on your doorstep, check around to find one whose previous work can be vouched for — by friends, family, neighbors. If the contractor or repair specialist offers up references, be sure to check them out. You can probably contact local trade organizations to find bona fide contractors in your area.

• License to fix: Many home repair specialists are licensed by their respective states. For example, in Texas, the state’s Department of Licensing and Regulation has an online portal to verify professional licenses for certain repair-related specialists, like electricians and mold remediation services.

Note that licensing requirements and disclosures vary by each state.

• Fake FEMA Endorsement: If a contractor claims to be endorsed or certified by FEMA, they are not telling the truth. FEMA does not certify or approve contractors.

• Get it in writing: If a job runs long, over budget, or is not completed to your satisfaction, a verbal agreement won’t help you very much. Get it all in writing before any work begins. Additionally, get multiple bids from different contractors so that you can compare

their estimates. Don’t assume that the lowest bid is your best bet.

• Where’s Your Insurance? The contractor should be able to provide you with proof of insurance so you know that you’re not liable if they fall off a ladder, or on the hook if their dumpster does damage to your property.

• No full payment up front: No honest contractor will demand full payment up front, and a scam artist will flee a job as soon as they’ve gotten all the money. Make sure you’ve agreed to a payment schedule that requires the work is completed before the contractor receives the full balance. Using a credit card instead of cash (or debit card) offers additional protections against scams.

How To Tell If A Charity Is A Scam There are certain red-flag behaviors that should alert you to the likelihood you’re being duped by a bogus charity.

The anti-scam folks at the Federal Trade Commission have this checklist for dealing with a possible charity to make sure you’re not getting hosed: Don’t be shy about asking who wants your money: If you’re solicited for a donation, ask if the caller is a paid fundraiser, who they work for, and the percentage of your donation that will go to the charity and to the fundraiser. If you don’t get a clear answer — or if you don’t like the answer you get — consider donating to a different organization.

Call the charity: Find out if the organization is aware of the solicitation and has authorized the use of its name. If not, you may be dealing with a scam artist.

Ask for written information: This includes its full name, address, and telephone number.

Contact the office that regulates charitable organizations and charitable solicitations in your state: The National Association of State Charity Officials has contact information for regulators in each state available on its website.

Your state office also can verify how much of your donation goes to the charity, and how much goes to fundraising and man agement expenses.

"That's where we come in," Levitis explains. "The truth of the matter is that a lot of individuals get a fraction of what they need to fully fix their house. After the hurricane or storm hits a lot of insurance companies use out of state adjusters which results in less money for the policy holders."

When it comes to using a public adjuster, Levitis is serious about correcting the mistakes that the insurance companies have left behind.

It's very important that we get that message across to all new boards, he continued.”

While admitting that he is willing to come to the aid of homeowners in a variety of loss claims cases, Levitis concedes that the majority of the damages he deals with, are from the after effects of Hurricanes or storms.

"Our company can help with any kind of damage," Levitis adds.

"At the moment, however, we find ourselves dealing with the damage inflicted from the recent storm, we are here to help you.”

While dealing with several homeowners in the past, Levitis made a point to mention his efforts towards working with Condo Associations in the present and near future.

"We are able to work with both homeowners and Condo Associations," Levitis states clearly. "To me, a Condo Association manages and represents the entire building. I basically work with the Condo Association towards helping them recover the proper fees towards repairing their buildings.”

Levi’s also noticed that a lot of Condo Associations are strapped for budgets and can't get financing from banks.

They have to use other means that is where Condo Associations And Home Owners comes in and work for you.

When talking further about Condo Associations in the south Florida area, Levitis insists that there are an abundance of cases that go unnoticed.

"I've been working with a lot of Condo Associations in Aventura and in Hollywood," Levitis notes. "A lot of them had their roofs torn off back in 2005 during Hurricane Wilma and they weren't compensated for it. A lot of the balconies were ripped off and you can find situations like that all throughout Aventura.

The insurance company tried to say that it was old damage and that it didn't meet the deductible."

"When we're there with you from the beginning, we can work beside you throughout the entire process,” Levitis said. “When the insurance company sends out their own adjuster, we'll be there too, as your own personal advocate to oversee the process."

WHAT IS VEIN DISEASE? HOW DOES IT PROGRESS AND WHAT SHOULD I DO? Veins carry blood back to the heart and have oneway valves. These valves may not work correctly and can cause “reflux” or back flow. This causes blood to pool in the ankles and pain, heaviness and swelling in the legs that worsens at the end of the day, after traveling or standing. Over 350 individuals are looking for weekly food assistance at the Hallandale Food Pantry, but supplies are not enough.

In fact, according to a 2017 UnitedHealthcare survey, nearly 40 percent of Medicare beneficiaries find the program confusing. Learning the basics can help you cut through the confusion and make an informed decision about which coverage option may be the right fit for you.

Here's a quick guide to five important Medicare terms to help prepare for the upcoming open enrollment period. What is open enrollment, you ask?

Well, read on.

OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD If you are already enrolled in Medicare and want to make changes to your health plan, you can do so during the annual open enrollment period, which runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. For most people, this is the one opportunity each year to make changes to your Medicare coverage.

Changes made during this year's open enrollment period take effect on Jan. 1, 2018.

ORIGINAL MEDICARE Original Medicare is made up of Part A and Part B and is offered by the federal government. Simply put, Part A helps cover services such as inpatient care at a hospital or a skilled nursing facility. Part B helps cover doctor's office visits and outpatient physical and occupational therapy services.

According to Dr. Efrem Castillo, Chief Medical Officer for UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, "Original Medicare generally covers 80 percent of health care costs, leaving you responsible for paying the remaining 20 percent. It also does not have an out-of-pocket maximum, meaning that if you have unexpected health care costs, you could end up with a hefty bill."

Original Medicare does not cover things like prescription drugs, long-term care, hearing aids and the exams needed for fitting them, or routine dental

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Medicare Part C, are offered by private insurance companies. Medicare Advantage plans combine Medicare Parts A and B into one plan (which means you only need to carry one card), and can offer additional benefits such as vision, hearing, dental and even gym memberships. Most plans also provide prescription drug coverage.

In addition to the all-in-one coverage, Medicare Advantage plans also have an annual out-of-pocket maximum, making it easier for you to estimate your health care costs, even when facing an unforeseen health event.

MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT INSURANCE (MEDIGAP) A Medicare Supplement policy is also known as Medigap and is offered by private companies. It can help pay for some things not covered by Original Medicare, such as copays, coinsurance and deductibles. Medigap plans typically have a higher monthly premium but little or no out-of-pocket costs when you access care. However, Medigap plans don't cover prescription drugs, so you would need to enroll in a separate Part D plan.

MEDICARE PART D Medicare Part D helps cover prescription drugs.

Castillo explains, "You have two options for prescription drug coverage. Either enroll in a standalone Part D plan, or you can get drug coverage through most Medicare Advantage plans." Make sure that the plan you select covers the prescription medications you need.

Battle Against Toe Fungus

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, approximately 40% of patients visiting a podiatrist have complaints or signs of toe fungus. It may begin with tenderness or pain in the toe, developing into an unsightly thick, darkened nail, and it can spread from toe to toe. In fact, the fungus can get so out of control that it can infect the foot and ankle.

Topical treatment such as Lamisil cream usually is the first course of therapy for a mild or moderate case. However, long-term use or oral antifungal medication is not recommended due to the toxic side effects Lamisil can have on the liver. This is a special risk if a patient is taking other medications, including excessive use of Tylenol that can manifest the same hepatic damage.

Over the past few years, Dr. Charlton Adler has been following closely the application and reported results of laser therapy on fungus toenails and other podiatric and wound situations. He is pleased to announce that he now is able to add this service as a therapeutic option in his office in North Miami Beach.

“The introduction of laser in treating toe fungus has had a major impact on attacking this uncomfortable and unsightly problem,” says Dr. Adler. He further explains that Onychomycosis, the medical term for fungal infection of the nail, is often ignored because it can be present for years without causing pain. “When the fungus imbeds itself under the nail,” he adds, “ the nail surface can become darker in color and the area can develop an odor.

The fungus lives on debris under the nail, and white marks can appear on the nail plate.”

Approved for the treatment of nail fungus five years ago by the Food and Drug Administration, the special appeal of lasers is that it selectively heats and destroys harmful fungi while sparing healthy surrounding skin. Because of the intensity of the heat generated by laser rays, Enrique Mechulon a specially trained and certified laser technician working with Dr. Adler, says that both he and the patient wear laser protective glasses and take several rest periods during the 40-minute process.

“I have already witnessed many success stories where patients have spent years and thousands of dollars to get rid of their nail fungus,” says Mechulon. “Depending on the patient’s general health and nail problem, it can take anywhere from one to nine treatments, but the results are there with minimum risk to the body,” he adds.

“I have wanted to offer this therapy for quite a while,” says Dr. Adler. “However, I am cautious in my approach, and I needed more proof on studies and reports.” Dr Adler adds that research shows that 80% of all toe fungus has been healed using laser therapy. “This is in contrast to topical ointments that only work 50% of the time,” says Adler, “and with topical treatment, the infection usually returns.”
