Anti Semitism & Hate Lives On Saturday’s Killing of 11 Jews In Pittsburgh Points To The Horror That Exists
By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com It hit home like a ton of bricks. The news of Saturday’s horrific shooting in Pittsburgh that took 11 lives of beloved Jews, praying at their synagogue - the Tree of Life Congregation found its way to south Florida - in a hurry. Home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the country, south Florida was devastated to hear what happened on Saturday. It is news that unfortunately is happening too much in this country. “It’s all about hate,” Ruby Miller said. “We are living in a society where if
someone doesn’t like you, your race or religion, they act on it.” Armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle and at least three handguns, Robert Bowers, shouting anti-Semitic slurs, opened fire, killing congregants and wounding four police officers. In a rampage described as among the deadliest against the Jewish community in the United States, the assailant stormed into the synagogue, where worshipers had gathered in separate rooms to celebrate their faith, shattering what had otherwise been a peaceful morning.

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS? A dental implant is a small, titanium fixture that serves as the replacement for the root portion of a missing, natural tooth. The implant is placed in the upper or lower jaw. It will bond with the bone over time and thus serve as an anchor for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace a single, lost tooth or many missing teeth.
HOW SUCCESSFUL ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS? Success rates vary, depending on where the implants are placed in the jaw, but, in general, dental im-
plants have a success rate of up to 97%. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
CAN ANYONE GET DENTAL IMPLANTS? There are no relative health contradictions to dental implants. Patients should have healthy gums and enough bone to hold the implant. They must also be committed to good oral hygiene and regular dental visits. In most cases, anyone healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction or oral surgery, can be considered for an implant procedure. Heavy smokers, people suffering from uncontrolled, chronic disorders such as Diabetes or heart disease - or patients who have had radiation therapy to the head/neck area, need to be evaluated on an individual basis. If you are considering implants, talk to your dentist to see if they
