Case IH Expands Portfolio With New 2160 Early Riser Planter Case IH is pleased to introduce the 2160 Early Riser planter as part of its 2000 series Early Riser planter portfolio. Available in 32- and 36-row options, producers can choose from four configurations equipped with either the new steerable Rowtrac Carrier System or traditional wheeled-carrier option. In addition to available track technology, the 2160 Early Riser planter features the factory integration of the industry’s most accurate planter technologies and an all-new rugged row unit designed for fast, uniform emergence at speeds up to 10 mph. “The 2160 Early Riser planter with steerable Rowtrac Carrier System provides up to 74 percent increased flotation over a wheeled carrier to reduce soil compaction,” said Tony McClelland, Case IH planter marketing manager. “With
more square inches on the ground, toolbar weight is evenly distributed to improve planting performance in areas of the country, such as the Dakotas, with soft, loamy soils and/or wet planting conditions.” Award-winning Track Design The Rowtrac Carrier System features the industry’s first three-axis steerable track solution, which is the recipient of the prestigious 2017 AE50 award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). The towed-implement track undercarriage design is pivotable on three major axes for pitch, roll and yaw movement. The same Case IH engineering team that designed the industryleading track technology found in Case IH Magnum and Steiger Rowtrac series tractors also designed the Rowtrac Carrier System.
“The unique undercarriage design of the Rowtrac Carrier System allows the tracks to uniformly minimize ground pressure, even in rolling terrain,” McClelland said. “The steerable undercarriage also provides excellent maneuverability during transport, especially in tight field entrances.” Highlights of the steerable Rowtrac Carrier System include: • Increased flotation reduces compaction and improves yield potential in challenging field conditions. • Industry-first three-axis steerable track solution provides better maneuverability and a smoother toolbar ride compared with wheeled carriers. • One set of track paths controls in-field traffic and reduces pinch-row compaction from dual wheels.
Page 3
The new 2160 Early Riser planter features the optional Rowtrac Carrier System for improved flotation and reduced compaction in challenging field conditions.
• Fore-aft track oscillation provides excellent ground contact and weight distribution on undulating terrain. • Side camber promotes even wear and extended track life through uneven terrain and roading. High-efficiency Planting: Cover More Ground in Less Time The 2160 Early Riser planter continues the accuracy, durability and simplicity found throughout the 2000 series Early Riser lineup. Toolbars from 60 to 90 feet allow producers to move quickly from field to field with the flexibility and technology they need to speed up planting with-
out sacrificing agronomic performance. “The Early Riser row unit creates the industry’s only flat-bottom seed trench to provide proper depth and more consistent seed placement,” McClelland added. “From there, the gentle two-stage closing system ensures excellent seed-to-soil contact for fast germination and uniform plant growth.” Built on proven Agronomic Design principles, highlights of the 2160 Early Riser planter include: • Rugged row unit built for unrivaled accuracy and dependability — up to 10 mph, depending on field conditions.
• 26-inch toolbar clearance, plus a 60 percent increase in vertical row unit travel to accommodate rapid terrain changes. • Factory-integrated Case IH and Precision Planting technology, including vSet 2 meter with vDrive electric drive, DeltaForce hydraulic down force, SpeedTube, CleanSweep air cylinders, and granular and liquid fertilizer options. • Automatic and in-cab adjustments and toolfree crop changes help to quickly adapt to in-field conditions. b Source: Case

Rigging And LOLER Services For Crane Refurbishment Bridgend, Wales-headquartered Rope and Sling Specialists (RSS) played an integral role as two 10t capacity, four-rope quayside cranes were dismantled at Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Newport dock, refurbished and relocated 50 miles west to the Port of Swansea, also an ABP site. The refurbishment was part of a larger £2.8 million project to upgrade five cranes across ABP’s ports of Newport and Swansea. The work encompassed upgrades of mechanical components such as slew and hoists, motor drives, control panels, and the installation of energy efficient LED lighting. The cranes were completely descaled and both external and internal surfaces were then repainted. Three of the upgraded cranes are now located at Newport and two at Swansea. The five cranes were nearing the end of their operational life but the renovation has extended their
lifespan by 10 years. For the pair of Swansea-based portal dockside cranes, RSS provided the rigging equipment necessary as a mobile crane dismantled each crane in three pieces. Once the same lifting gear was resupplied to reassemble the cranes, RSS conducted thorough examination and testing in line with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). Steve Hutin, managing director at RSS, explained that the biggest challenge was encountered by the centre of gravity of the middle section of the cranes that included the operator’s cabin. He said: “We knew the section was 50t in weight but the centre of gravity was out so we used two [MOD 50] Modulift spreader beams in close proximity.” RSS utilised fixed lifting attachments on the front of the cabins, while two 30t chain blocks were used on the back with a flat braided
wire rope sling that was manufactured to lift level. As with the other two sections, the main piece was lowered onto stools for transportation. Hutin added that the jib and lower parts—the cranes weighed 65t in total—were lighter and posed less problems from a rigging perspective. Roundslings were used for these lifting operations. Derryl Godwin, site engineer at RSS, led LOLER examination and testing once the refurbished cranes were reinstalled in Swansea. He spent a day inspecting working parts, welds, wire rope and the hook, among other structural elements of the cranes. Godwin was among a five-strong team from the South Wales lifting equipment company that were involved in the project over a six-month period following an initial site visit to contribute to a safe system of work. The Port of Newport is a steel, metals, recycling, and renewable energy hub, while the Port of Swansea has capacity to handle vessels of up to 30,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt) and provides berths and facili-
ties for most types of cargo. ABP is the UK’s leading port operator, with a unique network of 21 ports across England, Scotland and Wales. Robert Gray, engineering manager, ABP South

New Concept Standardizes Hoist & Crane Control J D Neuhaus (JDN) has developed an innovative and robust new concept for controlling hoists and cranes. The company’s JDN-RC (Radio Control) receiver is designed for long-lasting performance in rigorous operating environments commonly found in industrial and offshore applications, in-
cluding ATEX (explosive atmosphere) zone 2/22 conditions. Featuring a solid and extremely compact receiver (w = 250 mm, d = 120 mm, h = 200 mm) to suit even hoists with low-carrying capacity, all components are accommodated in a shock-resistant GRP casing offering
protection class IP65. This means that the device is totally protected against the ingress of dust, and can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction, thus making it resistant to seawater in offshore applications. Breathable membranes are deployed to help guide any condensation from the interior to the exterior. The meticulously-designed device facilitates quick and straightforward installation. This is largely because the JDNRC has been developed to help standardize hoist and crane control. As a result, the receiver can be mounted on the hoist or trolley, or at a separate location, in line with specific customer requirements. What’s more, the standardized interface on the JDN-RC means it can be offered as a retrofit solution for JDN’s existing product range, e.g. their industry-leading Profi air operated hoists. At the transmitter, single or two-step commands are supported by control elements that include a key switch, start and stop buttons, joystick, LED operating status display
and LED low-voltage indicator. The JDN-RC control allows users to work at a safe distance from the load and take a better viewpoint during operations. Here, the signal and selected command is transmitted and transferred into the controls of the crane or hoist by the receiver to ensure instantaneous performance. Ultimately, the JDN-RC is ideal for spanning long distances between the hoist and the operator, and represents a sensible alternative to applications demanding a long control hose. The design also facilitates use in hard-toaccess locations, while multiple hoists can be controlled simultaneously if required. A charger for the external battery and a leather strap are supplied with every unit. Sennebogen Material Handlers Keep Up The Pace At Mill In just six years, SENNEBOGEN material handlers have carved out their place at EVRAZ North America’s giant Regina Steel Division Yard. So much so that they are not only integral to current operations, but as future solutions in potential yard configurations that would add more of the machines in different tasks, says Kris Vancha, Site Maintenance Superintendent. EVRAZ North America currently has several SENNEBOGEN 850 M machines working at the giant Regina steel mill, which employs about 1,200 people in total. The first 850 Ms were purchased new in late 2010 and were put into active duty in early 2011. Each of those units has about 21,000 hours of service so far. One of the company’s original SENNEBOGEN units is equipped with a grapple, while the other units have magnets. “It is all scrap transfer. If it’s an offloading situation, these machines will be emptying out outgoing railroad cars and putting the scrap into the inventory piles,” says Vancha’s
associate, Kevin Hicks, Area Manager of Yard Operations, “and when it is time to fill the railcars going to the melt shop, it’ll be coming from the piles and loaded by these same machines into our internal fleet of railcars.” With its four rotating crews, EVRAZ North America’s Regina yard operates 24/7. However different days of the week pose different demands for each of the rubber-tired SENNEBOGEN material handlers, explains Hicks. During the day shift Monday through Friday, when tractor-trailers are constantly moving in and out of the yard, the material handlers work safely in close proximity to one another. When an opportunity presents itself at other times of the day or night, they can then be quickly moved and spread throughout the yard to maximize production. Not your father’s material handler Having spent time in the past as an in-yard operator himself, Hicks understands full well when his SENNEBOGEN operators tell him of the com-

fort, ease of operation and productivity they are enjoying today. “We used to run railtrack mobile cranes, and we would have to load one railcar at a time and then put it away and go grab another empty railcar,” he recalls. “With the SENNEBOGENs, now we can set up 10, 15, 20, 25 railcars – as many as we need – and load them all without having to move them. Being able to set a string of empty railcars up at three, four or five different piles of scrap and then be able to access all of those cars in succession is huge for us, not only in terms of time, but it’s way better for overall production.” The elevated-cab design is a key factor in the material handlers keeping up with the Regina yard’s busy demands, as well as operator safety, says Hicks. “Back in the old days with the cable cranes, when you were offloading a railcar, you would have to get out of your crane, walk over and climb up on the car to make sure that the car was empty,” he recalls. “Now with the SENNEBOGENs, being able to position yourself at the middle of a car, elevate the cab and see what’s left inside the car is huge.” Effective fleet management With the Regina facility’s rebuilt SENNEBOGEN 850 M now operating, it is time to begin cycling the original three units through a refurbishment program, says Vancha. Having received numerous pallets of parts shipped from SENNEBOGEN, he was just about to take “#1” offline for a month and send it offsite for a major overhaul, including a new engine and hydraulics. For regular machine maintenance, “With four yard mechanics, we do as much as we can inhouse,” says Vancha who, like Hicks, has been working at the Regina yard for about 20 years. In the future, Vancha anticipates reaching out to authorized SENNEBOGEN dealer Redhead Equipment for major machine support, as well as other sales and service opportunities. b Source: Sennebogen

Is Natural Gas Regaining Traction In Trucking? Shippers pushing sustainability efforts could revive the prospects for natural gas, despite lower diesel prices. With diesel fuel prices well below record highs seen earlier in the decade and so much attention focused on autonomous vehicles, the spotlight on
natural gas that shined so brightly just a few years ago has dimmed a bit. That has manifested in lower sales of natural gas-powered trucks and a slowing of planned fueling stations. At the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo this week, however, it was
clear the natural gas market is methodically moving forward, driven by new forces. “The tide has shifted,” said Dean Stapleton, senior manager of alternative fuels for Penske Truck Leasing, during a panel discussion at the annual exhibition here. “It is not a money play. It is now a sustainability play, a lot of times driven by the shipper.” Natural-gas proponents attending the ACT Expo acknowledged many of the same barriers still

exist, starting with the initial higher vehicle cost, compared with diesel. “The biggest challenge is overcoming the cost of the vehicle,” Mike Castell, director of fleet procurement for United Parcel Service, said as he discussed the company’s achievement of one billion miles driven with alternative fuels in a five-year period. Long-term residual values remain uncertain, and fueling infrastructure is still lacking in some portions of the U.S. But with the passage of time comes a better understanding on how to overcome other obstacles. For example, “range anxiety” – once a major fear of fleets – is being eased through the slow growth of fueling stations and advancements in tank options. Matt Matheson, CEO and president of Matheson Trucking Inc., said about 10% of his overall fleet is powered by natural gas. The company ships mail for the U.S. Postal Service throughout the western U.S., and found using three natural gas tanks has solved a main concern of drivers
running out of fuel during a run. “It was new and different but it has worked out very well,” he said. He added: “Range ability is not as big an issue but the tanks are costly.” New technology is further alleviating the worries about running out of fuel, said William Nowicke, COO and president at Agility Fuel Solutions. Products such as Agility’s Blue iQ, which integrates with Cummins Connected Diagnostics, are better equipped to determine natural gasspecific problems and to more accurately read how much fuel is left in the tank. Blue iQ includes a “limp home mode” so drivers can get safely out of traffic at low fuel levels. Nowicke said fewer sensors and elimination of diesel particulate filters makes the maintenance of natural gas-fired trucks easier than conventional diesels. “Natural gas trucks can outperform traditional diesel models on a costper-mile basis after five years,” he explained.
June 2017 Stapleton said Penske’s leasing options are helping smaller fleets take their first steps into the natural gas market. Leasing removes the higher upfront purchases costs and eliminates the need to upgrade in-house maintenance shops to handle the trucks, he noted. Already this year, there are signals the natural gas market is gaining traction. In April, research firm ACT reported that U.S. and Canadian natural gas heavy-duty sales have accelerated, but remain only about 3% share of the overall market. “The best January in the past three years set up the positive year-to-date February performance,” said Steve Tam, ACT’s vice president, in a statement. Penske’s Stapleton suggested it would only take one unfortunately global incident for the mood surrounding natural gas to change instantaneously. “If oil goes to $80-to$90 a barrel, we won’t be able to keep the phone on the hook,” he said. b Source: OTA

Cuban Refugee Built Western Star Dealership To Last
Source: gov.on.ca
Even at age 86, Ray Montalvo still comes into work six days a week at McComb Diesel, the Western Star dealership he opened in 1969. Though son Frankie Montalvo now runs daily operations, the father has no qualms about telling his son what to do. He’s stubborn like that. It’s the same tenacity that led Ray Montalvo to try to retake his native Cuba from Fidel Castro in 1961’s Bay of Pigs Invasion. The family had owned a brewery in Havana, but lost it when Castro came to power in 1959. The Montalvo family fled to New Orleans, where Montalvo worked for PepsiCola and Detroit Diesel. Then, he and 1,400 other anti-Castro exiles were recruited by the CIA to invade Cuba and overthrow the Communist dictator. However, the invasion failed and Montalvo was captured. He spent 21

months in a Cuban prison before being ransomed by the U.S. government and allowed to return to the United States. When free, Montalvo became a U.S. citizen and dedicated himself to achieving the American Dream in his new country. He opened a Detroit Diesel dealership in southern Mississippi, selling and repairing engines for the booming oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico. He began selling trucks in the early 1970s, retailing Western Star and three other makes. The dealership stopped selling Western Star trucks for a while as the brand changed owners, but rejoined with Western Star in 1987. “Today, we’re Western Star exclusive and very proud of that,” said Frankie Montalvo. McComb Diesel is the oldest Western Star dealership in the South and

one of the oldest in the country, but it wasn’t easy at first, Frankie said. Back in the ‘70s, Western Star wasn’t well known in the South and truckers were reluctant to try a new make. “They’d say, ‘Son, if it doesn’t have a dog on the hood, don’t bring it out here’,” Frankie recalled. “And I can’t tell you how many of them are now driving Western Stars. Once we got them to try Western Star, they were hooked.” McComb is now doing business with the children and grandchildren of those first skeptical buyers, Frankie said, only now they’re as loyal to Western Star as their parents and grandparents were to the other makes. McComb Diesel grew by serving the oil and gas, timber and construction industries in Louisiana and Mississippi and providing top-notch service for all makes in its 22-bay service department. “We invest in the equipment and in training for our technicians, most of whom have been with us for more than 10
years. We pride ourselves on providing the absolute best service for our customers and getting them back on the road as soon as possible,” he said. The addition of the Western Star 5700XE in 2015 allowed the dealership to attract new customers looking for efficient on-highway trucks with the same Western Star ruggedness and classic looks. “The reception has been great and Western Star has given us the support we need with the 5700XE,” Montalvo said. McComb Diesel will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2019, just two years after Western Star reached the same milestone. Frankie said he expects his father to advise him on how to celebrate the occasion. “In our business and in life, I still learn from him daily. He’s not only my dad, he’s my best friend. After a life of much hardship and blows, he has always maintained such a positive attitude. He truly inspires me,” Frankie said. b Source: Western Star

most economical solution for the construction of the production line using a 1000 EC-H 50 Litronic tower crane. Since the new plant had to be built whilst the cement works continued to operate normally, there was very little space available for the crane. This meant that only a tower crane could be used since there was not enough space for any other type of crane system. The Liebherr 1000 EC-H 50 Litronic tower crane is able to
hoist the highest planned load of 32 t with a radius of 31.5 m with ease. A 1000 EC-H 50 Litronic from the fleet of the centre for used and hire tower cranes, the Tower Crane Center, was used for the job. The service package naturally also included the provision of Liebherr erection engineers. This meant that the customer received everything it required direct from the manufacturer and all from a single source. In mid-February, the
tower crane was assembled by two Liebherr mobile cranes, an LTM 1500 and an LTM 1100 provided by Felbermayr subsidiary Wimmer Maschinentransporte. For the construction of the new klinker production line, the tower crane was assembled in free-standing form up to 77.9 m and at a later date, using three guying systems on the building it will achieve a final hook height of 163.4 m and operate with a radius of up to 50 m. These compact units include the Kobelco SK17SR, SK25SR, SK35SR, SK55SRX and new SK30SR and SK45SRX. Once on the jobsite, they provide full size performance with wide swing angles despite their compact size. Each model comes with a blade as standard equipment for backfilling and dozing work. Minimal rear swing radius and zero tail overhang makes for safe and easy operation in confined spaces with excellent side-ditch digging performance, allowing the operator to concentrate on the work in front of them for greater efficiency. This size/class machine is ideal for small landscape and construction jobs, as well
as utility work. Short Rear Swing Excavators It only makes sense that the company that invented SR (short rear swing) excavators would stay ahead of the competition. Today, six models round out the Kobelco line of short rear swing excavators, including the SK75SR, SK85CS, SK140SRLC, ED160 Blade Runner, SK230SRLC and new SK270SRLC. Ranging from 17,100 – 60,000 lbs. of operating weight, these SR excavator models are packed with value and innovation. The exclusive Kobelco iNDr Cooling System, found in all models of this series, reduces dust and cuts noise to extremely low levels, while NEXT-3E technology allows you to dial in the perfect balance of performance and fuel economy. NEXT-3E (enhancement, economy and envi-
ronment) comprises the industry leading Kobelco approach to lower fuel consumption and maximize work volume onsite, while making every gallon go further. And the new ECO-mode in select models creates even greater fuel savings while optimizing job fuel to production efficiencies. Large capacity fuel tanks combined with enhanced fuel efficiency and an automatic acceleration/deceleration function, which reduces engine speed when placed in neutral, allows for longer hours of continuous operation and greater productivity on the job. The exclusive proportional acceleration brings the engine RPM back up in direct proportion to operator demand and is controlled by the operator’s joystick movement. SR models are popular in applications where working ranges are lim-
ited such as in cities where traffic needs to continue to flow or in residential or commercial applications where noise may become an issue. Conventional Excavators The Kobelco conventional excavators are anything but conventional. All six models in this 38,800 – 114,400 lb. operating weight range are part of the revolutionary Generation 10. The new Generation 10 Kobelco excavators are trendsetting machines designed to establish new standards in value, productivity and durability. These Kobelco models are engineered for maximum performance capacity and improved cost efficiency with additional features that go easy on the earth – further delivering dependable power, widerange digging strength and reduced fuel consumption. They boast a 7% increase Continued on page 17

The Kobelco SK210 and SK260 Long Reach excavators have the heavy-duty hydraulic fittings and connectors needed to reliably lift huge loads from seemingly impossible distances up to 62 ft. away. They’re exactly what you need to tackle dredging, ditch cleaning, sloping and more safely and securely. Mass Excavators When you have mountains to move, rely on the Kobelco SK500 Mass Excavator. With an extremely durable boom and arm, it’s made to handle large buckets and fast cycle times. And, this model uses standard hydraulic pressures, so no additional counterweight is required. The result is ultra-productive, ultra-efficient machine that can make light work of even the biggest material handling jobs. High & Wide Excavators Rough terrain is no match for the Kobelco SK260 and SK300 High & Wide excavators. These models boast gener-
ous ground clearance to smoothly tackle jobsites strewn with stumps or rocks. They’re built with a reinforced guide frame to withstand heavy impact, extra crawler width for excellent stability and large, double-support upper rollers unfazed by powerful vibrations. Demolition Excavators Kobelco demolition machines provide powerful and practical solutions for almost any demolition task through the use of rugged designs, comfortable cabs, and energy-efficient
engines and hydraulic systems. The SK210D Car Demolisher takes apart vehicle bodies, engines, and other metal components with precise, safe, and efficient operation. The Kobelco SK350DLC Building Demolition excavator is engineered to demolish buildings up to seven stories high and offers practical features to increase job productivity and reduce downtime. And, the 220,000 lb. SK1000DLC Large Building Demolition machine offers flexibility with a variety of attachments for job-

lack’s Transfer’s distinctive brown and yellow trucks have been traveling the roadways of the Atlantic Provinces, Ontario, Quebec and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States for more than 50 years. The short and long-haul company was founded in 1964 by 20-year-old Saint John native Dave Black who started out delivering groceries in 1960 and four years later, opened his own trucking company in Saint John with just one truck. He began trucking in high school and stayed in the business because of his passion for trucks and the industry. Over the next five decades, David went on to build the business into one of the most recognized companies in the Atlantic Provinces and in 1999, was ranked 65th in a list of top 100 New Brunswick busi-
nesses. Since the mid-1970’s, Black’s has been moving such commodities as steel products, heavy equipment, manufacturing machinery, lumber and building supplies, and bagged product such as fertilizer and salt. But the company also has expertise in overdimensional loads. Its main focus these days is on container drayage through Port Saint John but its regional flatbed and dry van divisions are equally busy. Its fleet consists of 20 trucks in total with 46 trailers comprised of container chassis, flatbed and dry van. The communitybased family-run company has employed hundreds of local residents over the years with many current staff members being with the company for 10 years or more. In February of 2016 the
company was sold to Kevin Stover so Black could retire. The current management team came along for the ride. Steve Kilpatrick, VP of Trucking has been with the company since early 2011 and Black’s daughter, Dale Black-Devost, stayed on as VP Operations. Dale joined Black’s Transfer Ltd. in May of 2010, two years after younger sister Heather entered the family business as the office manager. Dave’s sister-in law Winnie had also been with the company almost from the very start, helping with accounting when his office was just a room in the back of the family home. Dave’s grandson Nick also continues to work at the company. It’s been a low key transfer of ownership for Stover who, like his predecessor, plans to continue operating the business

his legacy and make him proud.’’ Stover has big plans for the company moving forward in order to adapt to changing times and remain competitive within the industry. The company will
continue to upgrade its equipment and invest in innovation in order to maintain its competitive edge. “It’s a very exciting time for us at Black’s Transfer Ltd. as we conContinued on page 19

tinue to see growth opportunities for the region and are excited to be involved as a key port city supplier as the modernization plan moves forward,’’ he discloses. “With the addition of DP World, the fourth largest port operator in the world this past January, the entire port community faces a great growth opportunity. Black’s is excited to pursue new business in conjunction with the Port, DP World, MSC and the rest of this new world class team to continue to expand.’’ One key driver going forward, says Stover, is the rich talent pool in the Atlantic Provinces innovation community and he looks forward to developing close relationships with other businesses and academic institutions with world class expertise. The future looks bright for Black’s Transfer with continued growth and prosperity as a long -time stakeholder of the Saint John Port Authority. Jim Quinn, President and CEO of Port of Saint John, looks forward to continuing its long-established professional relationship with
Black’s in the years to come. “Port Saint John has enjoyed a decade’s long relationship with Blacks Transfer and as we begin our $205 million modernization of our west side terminals, we will continue to value the excellent services provided by Black’s to our shipper’s and receivers. Their professionalism and innovative drive will be important factors as our port continues to grow.” Staff at Black’s Transfer is equally excited with what the future holds for the company and eager to be a part of its continued growth and success. Driver Ricky Boucher has been employed with Black’s for almost 28 years and is proud to have spent his career with the progressive company. “I’m an official ambassador for the company wherever I go. I love my job, I really do. We have good gear which we continue to upgrade.’’ Dispatcher and former driver Chris Wallace has been involved in various roles for over 15 years at Black’s and feels valued as an employee. “It’s a fantastic place

to work. In the trucking industry lots of times you become a number but at Black’s Transfer, you become a part of one big team that all strive to succeed and have fun while they work.” The company boasts a number of impressive accolades including the 2014 Port Award of the Year presented to a trucking company for the very first time by the Saint John Port Authority. That same
year, Black was presented with the prestigious Golden Achievement Award from the American Truck Historical Society by Jean-Marc Picard, Executive Director of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association. In 2016 the company was nominated and subsequently won the Saint John Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Award. b

Kobelco knows their products and understands that in the event of a maintenance issue, the primary concern is to get the machine back up and running as quickly as possible.
