Imagine Eating Lemons
A children’s introduction to mindfulness Brighton based Jason Rhodes came to write this book as part of a much larger vision. He wants to educate the younger generation with the simple tools needed to help manage their thoughts and feelings, resulting in a much more peaceful and connected world. The book is illustrated by Richard Dearing. Copies of the book can be bought from local bookshops or from www.graffeg.com
In Imagine Eating Lemons we follow the journey of Chester Chestnut as he learns about his anxious thoughts and feelings, where they come from and how to control them.
Inspired by the authors own struggles with anxiety, Imagine Eating Lemons is a brilliant introduction to mindfulness techniques for children, as well as a perfect way to open up discussions about anxiety and mental health both in a classroom and at home. With the events of the past few years, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the war in Ukraine, children’s feelings of anxiety have become heightened. Imagine Eating Lemons is hugely beneficial in helping deal with these feelings and a brilliant tool for teachers to discuss issues of mental health and feelings of worry and anxiety.
