The Now and Tomorrow. Featuring a Student Leader from SLAD. As the Sabbath School Coordinator for SWAU’s Spiritual Life and Development department, I’ve had the unique privilege of nurturing spiritual growth on and off campus. Our Sabbath School leadership committee is comprised of willing volunteers who love God and who are passionate about introducing Him to others. We have dove into the book of John this semester, breaking apart each story to meet the person of Jesus.

It has been my privilege to serve as the coordinator for this committee as I’ve seen growth in not only my leaders but also in the lives of those who attend our program each Sabbath. This upcoming semester, I will likely be stepping down from my role in SLAD and will be looking for others who would be interested in taking on the opportunity to lead this ministry. I will be more than willing to mentor you through the process if this something you feel led to pursue.

It is Possible Devotional Thought It’s hard to live in this world as a young Christian! It's like a duck swimming against the current because there are so many influences leading us in the wrong way. I knew God was calling me to ministry when I was 15, but I repeatedly rejected his call mainly because I thought I was too young and thought no one would listen to me. However, 1 Timothy 4:12 says that we shouldn't be ashamed of our youth but be an example in everything we do. In this world we have so many distractions and influences leading us the wrong way, but we can live a victorious life from sin in Jesus.

A Christmas in January! University Happenings and News On February 3rd, 2022, we were told to expect snow and icy roads. I prayed to God that He would watch over us diligently and make sure that we were better prepared for the second time around. When the snow and ice had arrived, I realized how beautiful the campus looked covered in the snow while the sun gently glistened over the snow. My walk towards the cafeteria was
God is calling you to finish his work no matter how bad and far you think you are from God, there is always forgiveness. He says, “I will be with you wherever you go”, Joshua 1:9.
something quite spectacular. I could feel the cold breeze brush against my face and as I knelt to get a feel of the snow it made my hands go numb. Being able to slide on the ice was always a fun thing to do as well, but what really made me in a cheery mood was the fact we got a four-day weekend out of this. Even though I can’t say I used the time wisely, I did enjoy the time I had. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA-NC
