Monthly Messages From the President Hello Key Clubbers! I'm Samantha Sze, Southwest Key Club President. Happy summer break! Volunteering shouldn't stop just because school has. Just remember that if you do choose to go help out in the community bring lots of water, some sunscreen, and a hat. Also remember to stay safe! I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and to see you all at June DCM! Sincerely,

Samantha Sze

From the Editor Hey Coyotes! With the end of the year approaching, there wasn’t a lot of service events our club could attend to. Going along with that, don’t forget to continue serving your community in the summer (and to submit your hours to the secretary and pictures to me!). In this newsletter presents an article on saying goodbye to some of our key club seniors, who we’ll all miss dearly! I’m excited to see what next year has to offer and I hope you all have a wonderful summer. Thank you for reading in advance, until next month! Love,

Megen Lopez

Serving as your Service Coordinator It feels amazing to be a part of the Division 28 South Division Leadership Team as the Community Service Coordinator! I'm quite excited to be able to give back to Key Club by providing and distributing service events to all 9 schools in my division. I plan on getting more people to participate in doing service hours, and hopefully I will be able to get each student across the valley to reach the minimum of 50 community service hours! I have many aspirations and goals for this upcoming term, and I am glad that I can make a real difference within Division 28 South. Go seamonkeys!

Meet your Divison 28 South Divion Leadership Team! Introducing Nicole Kim as Lt. division editors Officer Training Conference 2017 I had a really great experience at OTC and I got to meet a lot of amazing people. It was exciting to see my fellow key club treasurers. I'm really excited to serve for the 2017-2018 term because I learned a lot at the conference. I was also excited to hear the announcement of the RTC theme. -Jailissa Jacala / CO 2018 / VP of Fundraising

Kristine Liu Key club has made a big impact on my life that helped choose my career pathway. I needed hours for key club to get inducted so I started to volunteer at a hospital. It started off as just getting hours but it became a part of my life where I learned that I like medicine and I want to go into the medical field. I never knew what I wanted to do with my life but I have now chosen to become a surgeon and work at that hospital after high school because I was offered the job, and I owe it all to key club because I learned about my love for community service and I found my career goal.

Key Club was a place for me to expand my role as an outspoken individual. I learned to be a leader but still be somewhat compassionate with the members. I love to be with the happy go lucky members and see who they grow into. It completed my high school career and made it much better because they were a second family to me and I appreciate the support they had given me through my final year in high school. Not only did I learned to be a leader, but I also learned to be a dedicated member to any club. I found that support is a major key to a high school career and I’m glad that Key Club was mine.

Key club brought me a sense of community I couldn't find anywhere else. It gave me a group of people who were willing to help me with my own passions while working to better our community. The idea of service is to support others and I feel that key club did me the honor of allowing me to support those around me. Key club changed my high school experience by showing me that others are just as willing to support those around me as I am.
