MIAMI, with SHEMAIN GRASSO Vice President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises® 2022 WISH LIST TRIP: Our roundtrip Istanbul Holy Land cruise on Seven Seas Explorer®, including our precruise Culinary Delights of the Ottomans and our postcruise Mystical Cappadocia land-hotel packages.
RECENT FOODIE FIND: Goat Cheese Panna Cotta on our Prime 7 lunch menu. It has pickled beets and a raspberryhazelnut vinaigrette. The new menu enhancements that our food and beverage team worked on and are currently launching during our return to sail are incredible!
WOULD MOST LIKE TO DINE WITH: Andrea Bocelli. The Italian tenor not only performed a private concert back in 2016 at our Seven Seas Explorer’s® inaugural event but we also offer Regent guests incredible tour choices to experience the life of Bocelli on select voyages calling in Tuscany—the next being our 12-night Seven Seas Voyager® cruise sailing from Venice (May 25, 2022). Highlights include sampling wines at his family’s vineyard, dining at the Officine Bocelli Restaurant, and touring his outdoor amphitheater. Imagine enjoying an exquisite meal at the Bocelli Alpemare Beach Club paired with classic Bocelli wine, followed by a 90-minute concert in Villa Bertelli, where the special guest is Matteo Bocelli, singer of the hit “Fall on Me,” in a duet with his father, Maestro Andrea Bocelli.
CURRENT OBSESSION: Cooking from recipes I have acquired from Bernhard Klotz, our Vice President of Food & Beverage for Regent. From pumpkin soup with lemongrass and ginger, to spaghetti alla carbonara, to peanut butter fudge, these creations are delightful and a fun way to impress my friends and family while I found extra free time within the past 18 months.
WHEN I’M NOT WORKING, YOU’LL FIND ME: Outside (and still on the water!) paddle boarding, biking, or volunteering in Miami. I live in Coconut Grove and during the pandemic, paddleboarding and biking was my way of staying sane and enjoying the outdoors while safely spending time with friends and meeting new ones.
FAVORITE ASPECT TO CRUISING: The flexibility of exploring all aspects of the destinations, but coming back daily to a beautiful and comfortable suite. This, in addition to the all-inclusive luxury experienced only on Regent, equals R&R to me.
