Sus 30 kilómetros de ancho y 60 de alto sobre el nivel del lago, lo hacen imponente a los ojos. Los turistas pueden acercarse a 300 metros y recorrer las pasarelas panorámicas. También se pueden realizar sobre el manto de hielo, los minitrekking de dos horas con crampones. ·Parque Nacional de los Glaciares: Se encuentra compuesto por 47 glaciares rodeados de montañas y bosques. La principal atracción es el Perito Moreno, pero también están el Upsala y el Viedma que son los mayores glaciares del parque. Se pueden visitar con embarcaciones a través del lago o con guías que te llevarán sobre el hielo.

En 1981 la UNESCO declaró a esta belleza natural como Patrimonio Natural de la Humanidad. ·Bahía Onelli: Es una de las visitas obligatorias dentro del Parque Nacional de los Glaciares por el bosque austral que la rodea con sus exóticas especies de flora y fauna. A la bahía solo se puede acceder en barco desde puerto Bandera. ·Reserva Natural Laguna Nimez: Tan solo a 1 kilómetro del centro de la ciudad, se encuentra un paraíso para avistamiento de aves. Los flamencos son las aves características de la laguna, aunque también se pueden observar varios cisnes de cuello negro y chimangos.

Durante el invierno el lago se congela y se convierte en una pista de patinaje natural. ·Monte Fitz Roy: Es el pico montañoso más preciado para los amantes del andinismo y el trekking por su altura de 3.405 metros. También es conocido como Cerro Chaltén y por un particular fenómeno eólico que hace que siempre aparezca rodeado de nubes, que le dan una impactante imagen de volcán humeante. ·Bahía Redonda: Se encuentra a solo tres cuadras del centro comercial de El Calafate. En verano se convierte en un interesante punto para observar las aves, y en invierno son varias las actividades deportivas que se desarrollan para disfrutar del hielo.

·Cuevas de Walichu y Punta Bonita: Están ubicadas a tan solo 8 kilómetros del centro de El Calafate. white town located on the shores of Lake Argentino in Santa Cruz Province. The town was named after the small bush called “calafate”, a typical species of Patagonia, which produces an ideal fruit to make jelly. The alpine town was created around the famous Perito Moreno Glacier, but in the last fifteen years it has gained popularity on its own, becoming a destination with attractions, activities, and landscapes for the most demanding travelers.

These are the places you can’t miss when you visit El Calafate: ·Perito Moreno Glacier: This glacier is the eighth wonder of the world, one of the few unmelted glaciers that can still be found in the world. Its 30 kilometers wide and 60 kilometers long above sea level make it imposing to the view. Visitors can get 300 meters close to the glacier and walk on panoramic walkways. Every now and then, chunks of the glacier break off, making a booming noise. In the winter, the lake freezes becoming a natural skating rink. ·Fitz Roy Mount: This is the most prized mountain peak by mountaineering and trekking lovers due to its 3,405-meter height. It is also known as Chalten Hill and for its unique wind phenomenon that makes it appear surrounded by clouds all the time. This gives Fitz Roy Mount the imposing image of a steaming volcano. ·Redonda Bay: The bay is located only three blocks away from El Calafate’s shopping mall. 31 ANTIGUO PUENTE

TRANSBORDADOR OLD TRANSPORTER BRIDGE Atravesando el Riachuelo se encuentra esta estructura de hierro, también llamado “puente viejo” o “puente Nicolás Avellaneda”. Construido en 1908, este trasbordador cumplió durante años la tarea de unir la ciudad de Buenos Aires con la provincia de Buenos Aires. Hoy está en desuso. Al pie del transbordador, aún hoy se puede ver a los remeros que con sus botes unen ambas orillas, transportando la mayoría de las veces a trabajadores. This iron structure, that spans the Riachuelo, is also known as “Old Bridge” or “Nicolás Avellaneda Bridge”. Built in 1908, this transporter bridge was the first to link Buenos Aires City with the outskirts. Today the bridge is not used, but it is still possible to see rowers connecting both banks with their boats, mostly carrying workers.

It was founded in 1895 and it opened a year later. It comprises the most important collection of Argentina.

Its halls showcase artworks ranging from pre-Columbian pieces to Contemporary art. In 2011, the National Museum of Fine Arts rearranged the museographic design of its permanent collection. This curatorial script change was aimed at placing the Argentinean art of the 19th century next to the European art of the same period.
